I dunno. I get the use for it, it would keep the area around your base clear.... but you're really just doing a vanilla mob spawner, and when I use the powered spawners I'm spawning things that don't spawn in the overworld, like ghasts and nether skeletons. I don't know that I'd say this is better than powered spawners, just useful for something different than they are.
I like to use a combination, Powered spawners for hard to get mobs in the Overworld like Wither Skeletons and Ghasts but for simple mob drops it's a cheap and VERY powerful version of a vanilla mob grinder. You can also sort the mobs which you don't want in your spawner.
Hi, Love the idea. Have you seen the case where mobs don't fall? They stay at the top and never go away. I have to go to peaceful mode to clear them. Also it's random mobs. My whole tower is clear glass. Thank you, Mike.
I am sure you can if you put your mind to it! Usually it takes me a few hours of thinking before I can come up with how I want to actually build my bases :)
Hello, i hope you read comments on your older videos. But me and my friends are stuck at the vacuum chest part, you need a few pulsating crystals to make it yet i cannot find any information about it anywhere. Could you please tell me where to find these crystals or how to make them. Thanks in advance
@@EariosRandomness I'm doing a modded mayhem type of world and I used beheading IV on a cleaver (Tinkers' Construct) and It got me my enderman head for the obelisk first try.
Despite the tooltip, The Ender only increases the chance of getting wither skeleton skulls. Add Looting for increased odds of head drops including enderman.
At a certain point it doesn't matter (when you have the octadic capacitor) since it will be picked up basically every mob that can spawn (160 blocks for octadic). If you are using it with no upgrade or dont plan on moving up from the double layer for a bit, then yea it would be a good idea to keep it away from larger bodies of water.
I have always wanted to join the HermitCraft server eventually. It is such an amazing group of guys, but i think I have a little bit of growing to do before that will be an option ;)
just found these videos and love them. helped me alot with the ender io stuff :)
That awesome :) always happy to hear the videos were able to help ya out! Best of luck with your awesome modded mc builds!
@@RagePlaysGames the only downside is that the crafting recipies have changed^^ its a bit harder now to get all the stuff (i am using 1.12.2 ender io)
This is great! Can you please tell me how tall you made the "cage"? Thank you for these videos, they are very informative.
Love the look of the base. Slick!
Hah, that is exactly what I was going for. Nothing too complicated or fancy, just right for a series more based around info than building.
I like the vines - I think you can stop them growing with a piece of string, which is virtually invisible.
Dr, Congrats on 9,000 Subs.
Thanks! Couldn't be happier with all the support the channel has been getting.
I was not familiar with the relocator obelisk. Props to you!
Thanks! It has quickly become my favorite block in all of modded mc because it is so strong and makes it easy to go outside at night.

Definitely a good point! I do plan on setting this same thing up in the nether for that purpose, but that requires an actual setup in said dimension.

I wish I could build like you 😊

You probably found it now but you make them in the alloy smelter with iron and ender pearl
That would be a lot easier with a jetpack. :-)
Hah, yea it definitely would be :) Couldn't help but rush this just because of how much I love it!
Hey man im brazilian, i like yours videos man congratulations !!
Hey! Glad to hear you are enjoying the videos :)
do they drop xpwhen they die ? i wanted to make an xp farm with it using the open blocks vaccum hopper which can collect xp
I have downloaded the ender IO mod for 1.7.10 but i don't seem to find the relocator obelisk? Was it added in the 1.10 version?
I do believe it was added in a newer version :( that is why there is such little documentation on it.
dont tell me it relocates the mobs to it? i out one in the middle of my skyblock base! holy crap
Do you get mob heads from fall damage?
Yes. There's other ways to get them (charged creeper explosions, modded weapons) but fall damage is by far the easiest.

Wouldn't it work better if it wasn't by that pond

If you want to really max it out, then you can fill the whole range with dark floors...
You didn't explain anything with the soul vials, especially how to get them.
Soul vials are just a simple craft and then you right click a mob :) covered it in a very early on video.
I'm not getting exp :/
You should try to join a modded smp!!!!

Because mobs don't spawn in water
miss-sa-la-ni-us
use strings to stop vines growing
Totally forgot this is an option! Thanks for the reminder!
player = 28 blocks
enderman = 56 blocks
Notice me, senpai
My son, you have been noticed
First
Well done!
