I was worried for a minute that ballet moms were going to be like "Dance Moms" but I am totally down with spending 5 minutes with Josephine having a cuteness overload 😊
The movement is so good for baby’s vestibular development! It’s also very soothing for babies to be strapped to momma while she does what she did while they were in utero. So, it makes sense that the babies of ballerinas love the movement of ballet. I’ve seen the same happen with other types of dancers as well as runners, cleaning ladies, & even a baby with a boat captain for a momma. That baby was soooo fussy for momma’s 8 weeks of maternity leave. When she returned to work, baby boy did too, carried in a baby wrap. He was happy as a clam. The kiddos of professional cleaners I know could only sleep while their moms vacuumed while baby wearing. It’s all so fascinating to me!
Sooo many memories of my daughter being backstage with me when she was little. She used to pose in tendu derrière for photos with her wrists crossed low in front because she saw me in rehearsals and performances of Swan Lake 🥰 She just turned 17, and the last two years, we’ve both been in Snow for Nutcracker. This weekend, we perform together in Coppélia (different roles). Sooo many special moments shared through dance!!!
That is HIGH entertainment for a baby! They love being around other people and being held and rocked. Those babies are ALL having the best of times going to dance class with mama!
What do you do if your baby is fussy? Some parents strap the baby into the car seat, put on soft music, and drive around. I imagine that holding a baby whilst in ballet class is just about the same experience for the little one. But the best part is there is no car seat. These babies are probably just chill because this is the best thing ever.
my mom danced through her pregnancy with me and then i proceeded to be in class with her for my babyhood until i could walk when i started dancing...so so impressive that my mom was able to do that and all these moms are just rocking it!
The Australian ballet❤️❤️ instituted a crèche at their centre at least 25 years ago. Too many mums were leaving or having to take extended leave. It also benefits all the dancing dads who are able to be with their kids too, even on tour❤❤ !! Those babies were so sweet and so placid!! Lovely viewing❤️❤️
looks like the whole class will have a go-to pointe shoe shop then 😂😂and they'd be so jealous that josephine is so understanding off shoes dying way too quickly when their parents complain about the money lolll
I had a ballet teacher whose baby would fuss until she put her in the snugli. She just wanted to dance. My teacher said that she actually could balance better with he baby in the snugli😊
most of the time, if you're holding them and can manage to keep moving, they're pretty happy... trouble comes when you haven't slept in three weeks and just need to like sit for five minutes.
I ended up on baby wrangling duty at work a few days ago for that exact reason. A very grumpy and jet lagged baby and her exhausted Mum came in to my work. I ended up holding baby and swaying from side to side while I sung lullabies to her. She was adorably entranced and went from being a grumbly baby to a happy, sleepy baby. Her Mum got a ten minute break and a sleepy baby, and I got cuddles, everyone was a winner.
THE CENTAUR THING: Ok I found it! It is part of an art installation from 2022 called We walked the Earth by Uffe Isolotto at the Danish Art Pavillion. There is a story central to the exhibition about a family on centaurs that the it revolves around, all told through multidisciplinary art. There is an article about it in Juliet Art Magazine.
The part in 1:31 is a hyper realistic sculpture that was exhibited in the 2022 Venice art biennale (a huge art exhibition that occurred every 2 years involving artists from all over the world) it’s a part of a huge installation by artist Uffe isolotto a danish artist. I was able to see it in real life and it’s truly magnificent
I think babies love ballet because for starters the music is as beautiful as the baby herself or himself. And, being with mum during this heavenly time is something they will probably be drawn to for always. ❤ That piano music with ballet class is a magical time.
I can't wait to see your baby doing these things! Back when you used to say you weren't going to have children I thought then that you would be such an incredible mother. And your child is going to have the most incredible childhood and probably come out doing pirouettes!
Absolutely love how the "so cute" counter went from 7 to 78 XD Obviously just a typo meant to be 8 but knowing Josephine there was probably that many "so cutes" behind the scenes XD ♥
If you tend to dance or sing or drive (or whatever) a lot while pregnant odds are your baby will be calmed by that activity after birth. If you're job is to talk with people all day your little one hears your voice and will likely want to hear you talk all the time once theyre born. My mom was a teacher and i still have a tendency to feel calm and sleepy around a bunch of noisy chatter! Lol
Let me give you a little advice.... if you're gonna let your kids do ballet or gymnastics..... watch them like a hawk in department stores. I once took out an entire rack of super fancy little girl dresses because my mom turned her back for 20 seconds and it looked a lot like the gymnastics bars. My mom was mortified, dresses flying like 20 feet in the air in all directions. The sales people were just like *sigh, it happens all the time, don't worry about it. We keep telling them to get rid of those particular racks. (also, I am ADHD)
01:35 It's a hyperrealistic sculpture that was part of the art exhibit "We Walked The Earth" by the artist Uffe Isolotto. He basically creates walk-in art works that tell a story without words. There's no explicit story description though, so viewers have to piece it together themselves like a crime scene. It's really fascinating stuff if you're interested in that kind of thing. What's the relation to the video before? No idea lol, the only connection I can kinda see is that the centaur woman sculpture is mid birth, which you can't see in that picture. But that doesn't explain why you would put it behind a video of a pregnant person doing ballet 😅
I can’t wait to meet your beautiful baby! ❤🎉 we may not know you personally, but we love you, support you and will always be here for you! P.S: Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee can u pointe shoe fit me one day? (I’m in the uk, but I’m sure I can make a visit! 😂)
I´m not a dancer but I´m a mom and dancing like that with a big baby belly or the kid in the carrier IS amazing. And I´m sure they are in the carrier or on the arm, because that´s the place they behave. My kid always was the happiest when we were out and about and especially when it was in the carrier. So no, you baby wont ALWAYS behave, but it´s a baby, it doesn´t have to and you will find what works best for you.
I don't remember a class of dance or yoga where a baby participated and they cried. They always seem to love it and when I get my own baby I shall also take them with me. Think more moms should do that, is a healthy way for kids to be introduced in exercise and have a positive affinity for it!
I was put on point at age 7 because I was a tall girl. I now have enormous bunions and big toes lying horzontally direcly due to being dancing on my toes. My yoga teacher is a former prima ballerina and her feet look like mine, except hers is from professional training. Look after your child's feet not your own interests. She won't be cute with deformed feet.
I went on pointe too early and I am walking proof that it’s terribly dangerous and harmful. “Walking proof” is not just a pun; it’s a miracle that I can walk after everything I went through due to this. I was just thinking about this and thought of cautioning you against putting your child on pointe too early. I’m sure you know the dangers but, it’s something few people talk about from personal experience. I wasn’t going to say anything about this, until you posted this. New moms are often inundated with advice and corrections and horror stories - it’s not my intention nor my place to tell you how to raise your child or live or fear monger. I hope any parents who are reading this who have children in dance (or plan to) will simply understand this message is a caution sincerely from my heart. Not intended to criticize or disrespect or shame anyone. This is why I have not expounded on details about my experience. I don’t want to worry people about dance. If you want to know more about my experience with this, I’ll leave it up to you to decide and I am open to answering questions about this. This video was so wholesome and it’s really what ballet really is about = sharing a lifelong passion for dance with your children or someone you care about and the physical and emotional and mental strength that comes from being a dedicated dancer. Much love ❤️ ❤️🩹 ❤️🔥
BIZARRO.
It looks like the baby in the carrier at roughly 4:50 has legs that have gone numb; this is bad on the hips and circulation. This is a bad carrier, it is better to go with a mei tei which also gives support but doesn’t cut off circulation that could have lasting nerve damage to baby. Just can’t not be honest about this as it could be very serious long term.
Parenting while dancing makes me (not a parent yet) feel a bit unaccomplished. I don’t think I could dance with a child in tow. That is some impressive multi-tasking, though!
I can’t dance, even if I were to have a kid, so I think you’ll make it happen, somehow! 😊 (I’m not being sarcastic at all, btw) As Jeff Goldblum says, “Life, uh, finds a way.”
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤.
Congrats on your baby!!! What a beautiful and stressful time! Its very short! Enjoy it! As for these little girls on point, that is child abuse and may permanently damage their feet and ankles. These "moms" need an intervention at the very freaking least. If not, force THEM into pointe shoes for 2 hours a day every day and see how they feel after a week of that. Bloody idiots.
The dancing with masks on was a bit much….. I think I’d die if I had to wear a mask while huffing and puffing and sweat literally making my mask wet….. ewww! 😷
I was worried for a minute that ballet moms were going to be like "Dance Moms" but I am totally down with spending 5 minutes with Josephine having a cuteness overload 😊
aren't we all, lol 💯
I thought the exact same thing! Haha

That’s so awesome!
This is the most adorable thing ever
How lovely! 💐
My dance teacher danced through at least 5/6 of her pregnancies, up until like 8 months pregnant, and still royally whooped our butts 😂
My daughter just transferred to a new studio and the teacher did the entire lesson with a 3 month old strapped to her chest. I was impressed.
I'm so in awe of the mums dancing away while pregnant, and dancing with their little ones around. Women's bodies are incredible
That is HIGH entertainment for a baby! They love being around other people and being held and rocked. Those babies are ALL having the best of times going to dance class with mama!

We all know Josephine is going to be a ballet mom. Her baby is going to be the teachers pet. All the little ones are so cute 😍😍😍
She said she was going to do what her own mother did which is allow her child to choose. This was in a recent video.
looks like the whole class will have a go-to pointe shoe shop then 😂😂and they'd be so jealous that josephine is so understanding off shoes dying way too quickly when their parents complain about the money lolll
Why would he be a teachers pet
I had a ballet teacher whose baby would fuss until she put her in the snugli. She just wanted to dance. My teacher said that she actually could balance better with he baby in the snugli😊

CONGRATS ON YOUR BABY JOSEPHINE!!! ❤❤

Just found the short. Bless you both. I cried! 🎉
What impresses me is how in shape the mommies are after having a baby. Wow!
Thx&see ya 😁
IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! CONGRATS ON YOU LITTLE BABY!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That is Peggy, Lauren Cuthbertson's daughter from the Royal Ballet with Roberto Bolle. She is is so adorable.
Thank you for this bit of info as I knew it was at the Royal Opera House but who??? Thanks? 😊
The weird last part of the one video is from a realistic art exhibit (it's danish, and called "we walked the earth")
Congratulations on your precious little baby boy!!!!! He's ADORABLE!!!!!

When my younger lil was 2 she would come to class with me. She had a spot to sit a few feet away for barre and then would cling to me for center ❤
I can't wait to see your baby doing these things! Back when you used to say you weren't going to have children I thought then that you would be such an incredible mother. And your child is going to have the most incredible childhood and probably come out doing pirouettes!

Young humans recognize beauty, and can express it so naturally ❤
Imagine taking your first curtain call before you are a year old 😂
If you tend to dance or sing or drive (or whatever) a lot while pregnant odds are your baby will be calmed by that activity after birth. Happy Mother's Day everyone!
My Pointe teacher who just had twins, did Barre with us and oh my goodness those children were so funny and cute 😊

😂😂😂 that made me laugh! I'm another ADHD-er!
That last one was me (no it wasn't, but it was what I used to do) with my second one!
Beautiful video..thankyou
How do just not eat your baby got me cracking up😂😂😂😂😂😂
I LOVE YOU JOSEPHINE!! ❤❤
"Is this Bolle?" Not my lazy-and-absolutely-not-sporty Italian as* being proud like it was my brother or something 🤣
i've been doing ballet for 9 years, and tomorrow i'm getting my first pare of pointe shoes!
01:35

Happy Mothers day dancers!
Last time I was this early, Odette was still a human
I like your pun
The teacher in the video when the lady has the baby strapped to her is Bianca Scaglione’s teacher also I think 💭

babies joints are super flexible and so thats why theyre turn out is so crazy lmao
Amazing! You will be Awesome!❤❤❤
I saw Amazon sells baby barres for Montessori kids for sensory. They even suggested it for teething??? Lol
completely random but josephine's makeup is too good. reminds me of early 2000s kpop idols
That’s not what I thought I was going to see given the title. Thank goodness!
Oh, where can I see your little pumpkin? Didn't even know you had him until I saw this video! 😮
I was put on point at age 7 because I was a tall girl. I now have enormous bunions and big toes lying horzontally direcly due to being dancing on my toes. Hey Josephine! Could you react to Kamila Valieva’s skating? She’s seen as the most balletic and beautiful skater in figure skating
Is this a thing now?
at 2:44 who is the ballerina?
The scream I scrempt when I recognized Roberto Bolle playing with that child. I sounded like a dying chicken.
Can you do another dance moms video….💗💗🤞🏼🩰🌺rhx
She has better turn out then me 😭 3:44
Real, I’ve been dancing for 9 years and my turnout still sucks
1:11 a 1 year old should never be on pointe shoes
The kid was just playing with what their mom uses every day haha, not actually dancing
💜
Is no one really talking about the centaur, bc wtf!? Did I really see a centaur? I'm a little scared but I need to know!
❤❤
My mother thanked me for not taking dance lessons as a child. She would not have wanted to sew costumes.
Do you think your son will want to do ballet???
What was with that horse photo?
I'm sure that turn-outs are a lot easier when your bones aren't fused yet. Babies be rubbery.
"Tutu too"
Mother and daughter swans
What happened to the cow😢
It’s sad but I used to want to want to be a girl mom just to be a ballet mom then I saw Black Swan and I’m childless. Lol
Can we get a name reveal?
Well, with the cost of training it’s no wonder they can’t afford sitters lol 😅
Look at Ukrainian dance called Hromovitsia
3:44 exsusamwa
Is the point of this video to watch you or the videos you’re talking about? Vanity is unbecoming to what could be a good bideo
Girl, where are the ballet Daddys
This click bait "baby's on pointe" is just... Okay I like you so I can't say anything but please don't do sh*t like that.
First
Ballet Dads , please
Early?
Congrats on your baby!!! What a beautiful and stressful time! Its very short! Enjoy it! As for these little girls on point, that is child abuse and may permanently damage their feet and ankles. Did you watch the same video? I saw exactly 0 children en pointe
I don’t think you watched the video before commenting.
The dancing with masks on was a bit much….. I think I’d die if I had to wear a mask while huffing and puffing and sweat literally making my mask wet….. ewww! 😷
Just be careful bouncing your baby too much! It’s not good for their head and neck.
That last video was so scary to watch the baby was not supported and it's head was flopping about 😮😢
Are you having a girl Josephine? If you are i would like to make her somethig special
💙🩷 Love these, but you & your team should have called it "Ballet Mommies"; I never, never watch the toxic "Moms" stuff!
No. My mother doesnt deserve my love. I disregard your suggestion.
I hope you got to take maternity leave Josephine 🥺
I video sono carini....a volte stupefacenti, ma per favore evita di dire dire " oh mio Dio" ogni 5 secondi.
So . . . The “so cute” counter finished at 78? 😂
Seems right. 🥹
