    The Lions ran a fake punt last season against the chiefs inside their own 20, it led to a touchdown. It’s who they are. I don’t think Dan Campbell needs to evolve at all, it’s what got them here.

      He needs to make better decisions. That’s indisputable. It’s great that it sets them apart but those decisions end up disasterous. See NFC championship game. He needs to learn to be smart and conservative when it’s necessary. There’s no shame in it and it sets you up to win.

      calling out Deebo for having "bubble gut" when he was hospitalized with pneumonia and fluid in his lungs is a misinformed, if not, just outright disrespectful, take.
      if you're going to keep any credibility as an analyst you have to acknowledge when you make a mistake so people know they can trust you to be honest next time. that kind of talk won't gain you any favor with players, either.

    That fake punt was actually an incredible look and it got blown up by an equally incredible play out of one dude on Minn's special teams. It was an option to Vaki and I think it was either 52 or 54 bit on the motion immediately and gave up his gap to make the play. If that dude doesn't seal the edge that may legitimately go for 6.

    Here is the thing, as a lions fan, Dan Campbell and company knows that we have no pass rush right now with the loss of Hutch. So we went for knowing that we would probably struggle a bit on defense. And it’s super early in the game where with our offense being as good as any team in the league they took a chance and it didn’t work out and yet our offense overcame against one of the best defenses in the league.

      It's also tone setting. It was the first drive. It's telling your guys (and ours, in this case) that you aren't afraid to take risks, and you are here to do things differently to get a dub.

    "Impulsive" might be the right word for what the Jets did in firing Saleh. Throwing away the year with such a change is not the way to go, though. They should have made that change in the early offseason before this season, or waited until the year is over. The Jets can still make the playoffs from 2-5 _if_ they go 8-2, and possibly even from 7-3, but they need to get it together now.

    As a fan it sucks to year over year be in this state of mind. We want to see success so badly and stupidly fall back in every year. Firing Saleh then and still does not make any sense. The defense has looked worse and worse since there's no one person focused there now. Ulbrich is in over his head and it's not his fault either. The team lacks leadership and continuity which has made them look absolutely lost.

    Dan is aggressive, but after the Hutchinson injury, he kinda doesn't have a choice. The defense had no pass rush, and only 3 QB pressures. When you have an offense like the Lions do, it's hard to take them off the field. The fake punt was a bad call, but the aggressiveness and "eff you" style of play calling permeates to all other units and is what wins them these close games.

    I agree with Julian as a 49er fan they shouldve traded Deebo and Aiyuk instead of paying them WRs grow on trees nowadays. But I also feel teams know that Deebo is a product of the 49ers so no one sending a haul for him. Aiyuk was refusing to take the trade offers and Kyle know he doesnt have a Mahomes or Josh Allen in the pocket he needs weapons.

    The Pats are a sad team...The Jags and Dolphins were both layups. If they couldn't win 1 of those, then I'm not sure how they win more than 3 this year. They have 2 very easy games left, but for them, that might not be enough.

    'They are the mentally tough San Francisco team'....wow. 49ers and Kyle better get their sh8t together there is simply no excuse. If they don't turn it around at least the second half of the season, it's an embarrassment. They didn't get the job done but everything looks laid back including the vibes. Kyle has to make this team play tough.

    Funny they mentioned Josh Allen when talking about mobile QBs but It was Lamar JAckson who blew the lions out! Not Mahomes, Not Allen. People act like the Ravens vs Lions game so along time ago. In fact, the Ravens got better and the Lions got worst. Did they missed that, are or they silent on Lamar? And Why?
