    One more tip that wasn’t in there that can make the difference between a 30ft throw and a 40ft throw is you need to keep your shoulders facing the back of the circle all the way until your left leg lands (if your right handed) and then when your left leg lands you then throw the shot-put like your throwing it from a power position. If your shoulders move towards the front of the circle before your ready to throw your gonna lose all the power on the shot. I wish I knew this because In my last season I had 5 meets where I only threw 35 feet and it was all because of this one simple mistake. Throw far guys.

      For sure. That is a perfect cue that people often miss!

    • @oliversmith7287
      @oliversmith7287 Год назад

      So when our left foot lands our shoulders should still be completely facing the back of the circle? And that should be our cue to start power position?

    • @demandsar1838
      @demandsar1838 Год назад +2

      @@oliversmith7287 not completely but your right shoulder should not be moving much until that left leg is set. It’s okay for your left shoulder to open up a bit though . The whole idea is to keep the shot put back until your actually ready to throw.

      @@demandsar1838 oh yeah I get that. I think I do that pretty well in my throws.

    Not a lot warmer over here in Engalnd! Thanks for this. Love it! What training do high schoolers need to be doing outside the circle? Could you consider a video on that, please.

      Call your local fab shop and tell them it’s for the school and donate some time to their business. You will build a friendship with them and potentially a job
