love your videos Lily! just a small bit of feedback on the title. I wasn't going to watch as I'm not interested in Instagram photos (as I don't post them). I didn't realise this was a vlog until I saw your Twitter post and am now watching and enjoying! maybe making it a bit more clear when a video is a vlog would be helpful for those who love your vlogs. xx

i have watched you for seven years now since the very beginning and just as some feedback I only watched this video because I saw on your Instagram that this was a vlog, I'm not arsed at all about taking nice Instagram pics as im just your average 20 odd year old woman, so i deffo think it would be good for you to always say vlog in the title when it is one!! love u lots!! xxxx

Hello Lily! I live in Madrid, and it´s a very dry city, specially in winter. To solve that problem and add a little more moisture to our homes we hang from the radiators´ side little ceramic containers filled with water. That way, when the radiators are ON the water evaporates and humidify the room. You just need to fill them when they are empty. No noise, no cost and it really works! Hope it was useful. Can´t wait for you to do a house tour. BTW, your book sounds really interesting, it´s already in my wishlist. Greetings from Spain!!

Magdalena Adrover Ribas Pues ya te digo, en mi casa de toda la vida. Lo que no sé es dónde comprarlos, son unos recipientes rectangulares de cerámica que van colgados en los laterales de los radiadores, rellenarlos y listo! 😊

My in-laws do similar to this! They live in a village in Cumbria in a massive house, they installed storage heaters and it get so hot and dry! They put cute little ceramic or china bowls down on the floor by the radiators and it makes a huge difference. Plus our dogs like to drink from them when we visit so they serve a multi-purpose!
      Loved the vlog Lily x

Ever since you had your month offline, there's been this massive shift in the tone of your content. It's wonderful to see that you're happier. That isn't to say I didn't enjoy your vlogs and content before, because I did and I hugely appreciate your honesty in them when you weren't feel 100%. Just happy you're happy!

I do like that there’s a main topic in the vlog BUT would you consider adding “weekly vlog” or just“vlog #1 2018” just so people who don’t want to know about cameras still know it’s a chatty upload? I often skip uploads not knowing they are vlogs too. Just a thought. ❤️❤️

    • @lilypebbles
      @lilypebbles  6 лет назад

I have vlog in the title but I'll definitely think about how I can make that clearer whether that's in the thumbnail or title! It's always so hard to name vlogs without it being a rambly long title, ha x

Lily Pebbles hate to come across like I’m telling you what to do, it’s a backhanded compliment in a way that I’m glad I didn’t miss it in the end 😂 and I know so many would want to see it from the title alone. 😂 but it’s interesting how important the title is and how much it effects if I click or not, kinda see why some go down the “click bait” road 😏😏

I agree, I would really like that too. I skipped past this video for days now as I just saw "How I take my Instagram pictures" and I wasn't interested in that. Just now by chance I searching for videos to watch and thought okay I'll just watch a video about Instagram pics (i.e) this one, and then I realised it was a vlog..

I adore lots of things about your channel but one thing i really respect is your response to criticism. You always listen and want to continue to learn. Lots of youtubers can take criticism negatively so yeah. Love you lily! Also I agree with others. I wouldn't have watched until you mentioned it was a vlog on other platforms. Hey Lily, just wanted to say thank you because, as it has been a topic of conversation lately due to recent RUclips related news, I really appreciate that your content is always respectful, honest, authentic, helpful and genuine and that you don't do outlandish things for views, likes or subscribers. I understand how it must be difficult for content creators to feel like they have to go out on a limb or be the one "shouting the loudest" in order to stand out on this platform, so I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate what you do and how you do it, and for that I will always click on and watch your videos. xxx

Hi Lily just a tip re: dry skin.
My naturopath/gp said if your skin is dry then you can afford to add more oil into your diet. For example drizzle more olive oil or coconut oil on your food, take vit E and evening primrose oil supplements each day. Makes a huge difference. It’s basically your body telling you it needs more oil. Hope that helps. 😊

You and Anna are my ultimate favorite bloggers because you ladies are just so real and relatable. There's not much sugar coating. I am not one for blogs but I am such a huge fan of yours and anna's. I hope in the coming year, you will have e even more positivity! Your videos got me past some difficult stuff in 2017. My mental health wasn't the best, I had to go through a messy break up, and I also had my final year in university. The stress levels were high and your videos always chill me out. I don't usually like lifestyle videos as I prefer beauty and make up but for the 2 of you, I'll watch multiple times. 😀 love from the Philippines, a loyal RUclips and socials follower, blog reader from your what I heart days!

Hi Lily, really liked this vlog! It's nice to see you out and about but also at home like this. Looking forward to this new kind of vlogs on your channel. I'm always interested to see how others edit their instagrams and actually, I use the C8 too! I love the C6 and C7, I alternate depending on the original lighting of the photo. And when you mentioned the camera I immediately thought, it's the same one as Carrie has (and omg, she does amazing instagram stories with it!). Have a lovely day xoxo.

You will definitely see and feel a difference with a humidifier running while you sleep. I have one going 24 hours in my room and downstairs as well. I also swear by nasal saline spray. I used to be plagued by sinus infections during the dry winter months but once I started using a saline only nasal spray I haven't had one in two years! Enjoyed watching this and seeing how you take and edit pics for Instagram (have requested this video before). Also loved your mini review of the camera because I’m currently looking to purchase one myself but am unsure which brand/model to get. The best advice I’ve received is ‘buy the camera that you’ll use the most’ so liked that you touched on the fact that you enjoy using your Fujifilm because it makes taking photos enjoyable. Such an important point! Also, with regards to whether or not it is clear if your videos are a vlog or not, I’ve never found it unclear but perhaps you can include the word ‘vlog’ in your video title description, as you’ve done with this one. I know a few other bloggers who do that to make it very clear. Thanks again for this video.

I am mid 30's and find although you are younger than me you nail the you tube thing for people of my age. I appreciate you honesty with work/life/house etc and find youvery relatable and enjoy your honest approach to social media. Hi Lily, I've just watched your video, so I don't know if you read my comment. The simpliest solution is to put a wet towel on a radiator. There are also porcelain humidifiers (I don't know if there is a specific name for it). They look like baskets (but not round, they are flat). You fill them up with water and hang on a radiator - it doesn't use up electicity and is soudless. You can have them in every room that you need, in every colour that you need and the price doesn't brake the bank. Or maybe you could do it by yourself? I can remember that you did a mug one time :)

I think you definitely chose the right photo, it had so much more depth to it... you can see the bed and out of the window so really created more of a “scene”. Thanks for sharing. I want to take more photos but I have a crap phone and no camera. I have a load of old film cameras from when lomography was the in thing so maybe I’ll get them out of the shoebox in my wardrobe!

Love that you're focusing on more what you like taking photos of rather than what gets likes! Lots of people ask me why I never hashtag my Instagram photos and it's basically down to that! I don't really care about the likes part 😆

I just tweeted you about saving your pictures on IG, just because it made life SO much easier for me :) I LOVE your new camera, its beautiful, and I love how all the options are on the body, I think this would work so so well for me, because I hate fiddling about in settings! :) Cannot wait for your book to launch now, so exciting! :)

Love the concept of vlog style info. Would be interested in tips for the iPad Pro. What apps you love for it. And how you incorporate it into your business for creative and organizational purposes. I got one for Christmas and am just starting to play. Thanks!

I love these vlogs, you’re just so relaxing and calming to watch! Although I still love monthly favourites etc videos mixed in :) also I think if you just put vlog at the start of the title it’s clear enough with the little vlog in the corner of the thumbnail:)

Really loved this new vlog format. I don’t know what it is about your blogs but they are my favourite by far! Silly question... how often do you change/wash you muslin clothes? (The ones you use during your cleansing routine) thank you xx

Loved this video! A quick tip for your make-up desk drawer organizers. If you want to keep them from sliding back and forth every time you open and shut the drawer, try putting a little bit of sticky tack on each corner of the organizers--it'll hold them in place!

We run one humidifier upstairs and one downstairs. Can’t imagine trying to get through a winter without one! Our skin gets incredibly dry no matter what in the winter, not to mention the amount of static shock we go through since the air is so dry. Just make sure you run some vinegar through it several times a week in order to kill mold spores and bacteria. If you take care of your humidifier, it will take care of you. :)

Thanks so much for including the Instagram pictures bit. I'm trying to start using Instagram for my sideline business but I am rubbish at it so that was super helpful for me.
