Me too.. I am 19 and love saving for the future and emergencies. On the first day of january, my phone chrashed and i could easily buy a new one despite being a university student because i saved a lot. I feel like this is such an important topic that's not talked about enough. (:
By far my favourite video you've EVER uploaded! So casual, informative and relaxing to watch. Plus the emphasis on not mindlessly spending was so key. I can't wait to see more of your home come together. In terms of cushions, your sofas etc, have a look at a colour wheel and work out a scheme from there. Don't forget to include your navy walls if that's the end goal. eg: an analogous colour scheme (three colours next to one another on the colour wheel) would work well, or, for a more serene effect maybe a monochromatic theme (varying shades of blue). Happy to expand on this if you need xx

if you want to keep the blue sofa and the pink chair next to each other you could add pink cushions and a neutral colour like gray. you can always repeat colours and shapes to make a room feel more put together.

I’d say emerald green on the grey sofa, maybe a mustard/jewel yellow on love seat and maybe a pattern pale green on the light grey seat! X

I bought 2 pink chairs (dusty pink) 30 years ago on a whim - never regretted the purchase, I still love them, and surprisingly they fit in with everything!

Hi Lily. Love the new chair! With that, the sofa and the pink footstool you have coming, I would use the same colours for cushions but mix them up and use different textures. A blue cushion on the grey chair, grey on the blue and pink on the grey. You get the idea! The house looks fab. So much potential! X
I would say pick pillows with color to add pop to your neutral furniture. Also mix textures and maybe similar colors but in different tones. Also, firmer pillows are more comfortable than soft mushy ones when sitting on a sofa. No need to spend a fortune so if you switch them out after a while you won't feel bad. Most of all just have fun.
Cleo is something I am so interested in, but it only works in the UK and I am in Australia. Next time you AD, could you please mention any UK restrictions for you international audience

Rarely comments on vlogs (watch them all though!) but this was so good I just need to tell you, It was so good!! You seem so happy in your new home and excited (for obv reasons). Off course that's not realistic for every vlog because life goes up and down, which is why I like vlogs, you see more of reality of life. Just wanted to say keep it up, really enjoying your content!!
Your glasses match you hair perfectly and look amazing on you! regarding the cushions: I enjoy having a pop of colour, the teal-pink combination that you have going on in your office works really well in your office (in my opinion) so maybe you could look for soft pink cushions for the living room.
Also totally agree long hair looks SO GOOD on you!
I imagine a white cushion with large forest green designs/accents would look nice on the dark grey sofa

For cushions, try Homesense! And I personally like a mixture of patterns and textures.

I think cushions a similar colour to your new sofa would look really nice on the grey sofa as it'd tie them together really nicely! x
Pillows and accessories are the hardest for me to decide on, I think because you have furniture that is mismatched in both color and fabric you might have to spend a little more thought and effort into finding the right ones that will tie your living space together.
I love different textures that throw pillows can add, and I think Anthropologie has such an excellent uniqueness for their home textiles (downside is that they are pricey). West Elm has some great choices that have more of that modern pattern as well, I bought my throw pillows five years ago, and they have stood up to a toddler and dog pretty spectacularly.

Hey lily, just thought I would share this little info my mum shared with me. We should always put any creams we put for our face on our neck because as we age, it shows on the neck first. Definitely holds true and it's improved so much since I started doing that

TK Maxx and Home Sense for cushion. Mix up textures and shapes. Bit of velvet with a faux Mongolian fur then a basic square cotton can work a treat. Also, stuff cushion covers with chunky inserts that are almost too big for the covers so they stay plump for longer. That’s an Instagram tip but I haven’t tried myself... Or invest in higher quality inserts then have cheaper covers to switch it out more regularly!
I have issues with this too however I love cushions. This advice is great x
Hi Lily - love the new additions to your home. Such beautiful colours! For the snuggler cushions I would pick up the greys from your sofa and chair but in a textured fabric. For your chair I would pick something in a rich mustardy yellow? Velvet maybe?
Haha I always do that with candles, I have to make sure I am home for long enough so I don't ruin them!! X
Home sense are really great for cushions! You could try other shades of blue and add a fluffy pink for example! I love playing with different colours and textures. Good luck

Love the Snuggler & the cocktail chair! You’ve given me an idea for my home office. Home senses have some good cushions but my favourites are Oliver Bonas. Elizabeth Scarlett & Joules do some really nice ones too! X

Hi Lily. As a cushion lover (they are everywhere in our house) I would recommend homesense. For the grey sofa something patterned or textured would really work and for the brighter velvet sofas I think maybe mustard. Great video as always, love you content. X

I love cushions and find they can totally make or break the vibe of the room. I get a lot from homesense/homegoods. The thing I like to do is play with texture and print. A nice fuzzy/shaggy cushion mixed with a solid and a complimentary print. Loved your vlog and can't wait for the book cover reveal!

Actually all my couch cushions are from H&M Home and I neither think they look cheap or are thin...
But my advice for the living room is think of buying cushions that tie the sofa, the snuggler and the chair together. So like one color scheme that goes with all three that you can mix around to give it new life every now and again. For that gray and blue I think maybe a dusty pink or something like that. And I love having extra cases so that I can switch it it depending on the season as well. Different a sizes, shapes and textures I think is important as well.

I love the cushion you've got on the little snuggle seat! I would maybe add another shape for a second one? Like a smaller, round pink or any other kind of soft color. And I love seeing you in your glasses! I know that it's a pain when the light reflects off of them for filming / taking photos (I'm a full-time glasses wearer hah), but honestly, you look absolutely lovely in them. Cushion Styling suggestion: Maybe out a blue/teal colour cushion on the grey sofa, and grey cushions on the blue/teal sofa to kinda of link the two together? I always put two cushions together on sofas - a soft, plan solid colour and then a more pretty one in terms of design in front of it... this is just me, all my cushions are from pennys so feel free to ignore!

What about putting blue cushions on the grey sofa ... it would tie it in with the love seat. It would make them complement each other and not make them look like separate pieces. Think about it and I hoped that helped. xxx

You need to literally search “sofa styling” on Pinterest... I know it sounds lame 😒 but this is what I did when I moved house and got all new furniture.. I was so lost and this is where I got inspired. There are so many interior designers on Pinterest.

Love the sofa and the new chair! As for the sofa cushions, pull the colors from the opposite sofa. For example, place grey/slate colored pillows (solid and/or patterned) on the blue sofa and vice versa. U could use different tones of blue for the grey sofa and do the same for the blue sofa. An Ivory/Grey paint on the walls would be nice in your lounge. That way you can be creative with artwork. Navy may swallow the room up. As for the pink chair, choose a pillow with a pattern (cheetah/palm tree) just because its a "fun" chair, have fun with it. I think you should only buy pillows (or any home decor item) that makes your heart soar with delight! We like what we like, you will inevitably have a place to put it! Lastly, I liked ALL of your clothes in the haul. I'm holding out on buying myself any new items until my birthday (April). Thanks for introducing me to "Chloe" hubs and I JUST wrote out a budget and this is perfect timing!

I love Next for cushions. I would try and incorporate the colour of the snuggle into the other sofas through the cushions. Maybe some with Pom poms around the edge or a nice print.
Love this! For your cushions, to help it all tie a bit better together, I would maybe do some blue, or patterns with blue (same as loveseat) in the grey sofa, and then a structured grey pillow in the blue sofa. Since the loveseat is (comfortable) but a bit slouchy in its material, a thicker cushion would balance that out nicely. Also, it you choose smaller pillows and not too many for the blue couch, it won't look like it's drowning in pillows :)

Always go for the bit too big if you're in between sizes, that way you can get them taken in which is generally quite cheap.
Love all the new home and style additions! Regarding cushions I would definitely recommend Home Sense as it always has such a wide variety especially with different colours and textures! Depending on the colours you want to implement into the room, I would go for more neutrals on the love seat (grey), for the grey sofa I would put more colour and different textured cushions and mix it up (but obviously work with a colour palette that suits you and your taste) for the grey chair (I love the blanket/throw that you have over it btw) I would go for something a bit interesting (maybe a fluffy pink or patterned cushion). Hope you find this useful! Can't wait to see what you decide to do :). X
