Just a tip when it comes to starting the C172 R/S Series, when you're priming, make sure the throttle is cracked enough, and then to avoid overflooding the engine, make sure the second you put on the Auxillary fuel pump, that you immediately put the mixture full rich for like 5 seconds max and then pull the mixture out and immedieately shut off the fuel pump switch. And then when you are engaging with the starter, don't play around with the mixture and trying to enriched it before the engine actually catches.
Indeed, you are right sir, especially about that last part. These days I'm actually waiting for the engine to catch first, before the mixture comes in. Also I'm holding the starter a bit longer in this process. Meanwhile, I'm also flying the older 172M (non-fuel injected), which I think is somehow easier to start.
Mooi toestel! Wel initieel oproepen met volledig callsign, het afkorten, dat initiatief komt echt vanuit de controller / havendienstmedewerker. Lelystad is 'n mooi vliegveld, wel jammer dat het nog steeds niet open is voor de grotere turbojets. Aan de andere kant is de baan laaaaaang zat.
Daar heb je helemaal gelijk in, de afspraak is dat het initiatief komt vanuit de controller. Toch merk ik dat het de andere kant op ook wordt geaccepteerd, de controllers gaan er makkelijk in mee. Ik ervaar dat de controllers bijna altijd afkorten, dus wie weet zit er een vleugje verwachtingsmanagement in. :)
@@PilotNando Zekers, het is belangrijk dat men het elkaar niet te lastig maakt in de lucht. Je vliegt bij VSH neem ik aan, al bezig met 'n commercieel brevet trouwens? Luchtvaart groeit enorm op dit moment en de komende jaren (mits er niks geks gebeurd).
@@Backtrack ik vlieg meerdere varianten en 'zit' daardoor bij verschillende verhuurders. CPL/ATP of instructeurs route komt nog wel. Voorlopig lekker het buitenland ontdekken en meer ervaring opdoen met m'n nieuwe VP/CS prop endorsement.
Thanks! Hmmm ik heb nog geen voorkeur eigenlijk, 1. het is hiervoor nog te vroeg op de cessna en 2. ze bieden allebei verschillende mogelijkheden die leuk zijn. Wel vind ik nu de C172 een leuke uitdaging, want hij is nieuw voor mij en het leerproces geeft mij weer nieuwe prikkels.
@@PilotNando leuk man! Ik les zelf momenteel op een C152 maar uiteindelijk is het doel het vliegen van een C172. Ik zou zelf ook wel een keer ervaring willen opdoen met een laagdekker, kijken of dat echt anders is
Hey, I’m going to start training for my ppl in about 3 years. I’m wondering if it’s worth training with the Tecnam or the Cessna? Are they a big price difference or is the Cessna a good option to start at Hilversum. (I want to do the Cessna most. But 12-14 thousand euros is the max I can spend) so would you recommend the tecnam or the Cessna? I’ll be cutting costs since I have 2000 hours in my flight simulator
Both are worth it in my opinion. Cessna 172 hourly rate is indeed a bit more expensive compared to the Tecnam Sierra. If your budget is only 12-14 thousand, then I would recommend a LAPL instead of PPL.

@@PilotNando Klinkt leuk. Veel succes daarmee. Vlieg zelf van EHHV of EHLE, EHHV heeft best vaak last van het natte weer.
