My momma has struggled with mental health her whole life. Baking was one of the few things we could bond over. It seemed to level her out for a bit. Watching your momma cook brings back those memories. I wish my momma had been a well person. I wish she could have been a better mom, but I cherish the few good moments we did manage to have. I take care of her now. She's not remotely a functional human anymore. It's heartbreaking. Enjoy every second. Thank you for sharing your family with us. It's healing for me.
I went through a lot of the same with my mom...She had a lot of mental health struggles and it was rough...We did enjoy cooking together once in a while and she made the best homemade Mac n cheese...She got early onset Alzheimer’s and dementia when I was 22, she was 48...I took care of her as long as I could until she needed constant care...It’s hard to take care of someone that didn’t necessarily always take care of you, but I know she tried her best...You are a beautiful human for doing that for your mother...I know how hard that is...Sending you so much love and strength 💞💖🤗

I definitely need to try that cobbler recipe! You could probably make it low carb pretty easily by substituting 1/4 cup of the flour with coconut flour and the other 3/4 cup with almond flour, and substituting the sugar with an erythritol/monk fruit granular sweetner. It looks so delicious!

I definitely need to try that cobbler recipe! You could probably make it low carb pretty easily by substituting 1/4 cup of the flour with coconut flour and the other 3/4 cup with almond flour, and substituting the sugar with an erythritol/monk fruit granular sweetner. It looks so delicious!
