The volume's a huge factor too. 18000 $100 bills in 1 stack is ~70-80ft tall which is the height of a 7-8 story building. Offcourse you have multiple stacks...but even then....
I don't believe they are victims. Anyone with half a brain wouldn't fall for these scams. They made bad investments without doing research. They should own their mistakes instead of blaming others. Might sound cruel but that's how the world works. You don't send thousands let alone millions to people just because they claim to have the same faith. If we are to say they are victims that is taking away the role they played in this imo.
I prefer to call them stupid investors as opposed to victims. They could have easily put their money in a low risk fund. They wanted big impossible returns and got wrekt in the process. I do more research on a 50$ investment than these idiots did with 3.5m
@@patrickbaklava7297 true but not everyone is well informed on how investing works and scamzini targeted & exploited these individuals just for that reason. it’s not their fault school didn’t teach them about how to manage ones finances. Sure they should’ve done adequate research before giving away all their life savings into something that sounded “too good to be true” but hey everyone makes mistakes, nobody is perfect. These people got exploited because they mutually trusted their leader and were in good terms with him and knew him for time so that’s why they were comfortable investing with him which isn’t wrong. It’s like your friend asking you about a business opportunity ( are you going to think or know he will scam you? Probably not because your his friend and you trust and believe in him). I think whats more important for these People now is to learn from their mistakes and make sure they do their own due diligence before making such investments ever again with a third party.

These people got exploited because they mutually trusted their leader and were in good terms with him and knew him for time so that’s why they were comfortable investing with him which isn’t wrong.
