My tortoise loves having Christmas cactus in her enclosure. She will occasionally munch on it which is adorable to see

There’s so many live plants that tortoises love! Spider plants, Christmas/easter cactus, calathea, fittonia, wandering Jew plant

Lettuce is also really easy to regrow and fun to keep in the enclosure. You can regrow it simply by putting the cut end in water and then plant it once it has roots. Although keeping in mind not iceberg lettuce but it’s something I like to do with Romaine lettuce

There are some pretty decent setups here. Good to see that they's are gone where a tortoise was literally kept in a shoe box! As a plant lover myself; mb put some plants on elevated spots where your reptile can't reach it 😉 if you are unsure whether to put life plants directly on the ground of the enclosure...

Always love turtle and tortoise videos. I’ve had a pair of Gulf Coast box turtles for many years. They’re getting ready to hibernate now.

I love live plants in my tortoise enclosures. You just want to make sure they are safe to be eaten. My tortoises don’t strip their plants clean, they just graze occasionally which is great enrichment for them. I prefer naturalistic enclosures that mimic their natural environment.

Cool video Tricia! Just got 2 Sulcata babies and am using an outdoor and indoor “turtle table “ or planter boxes . Used organic soil on the bottom and cypress mulch on top , then planted some edible flowers (Gazanias) , and hibiscus in there for the out door enclosure and some aloe Vera for the inside enclosure , if you google tortoise edible plants you’ll see a few dozen plants you can plant in there :) super fun and rad! Cool video!

Tayandcoa looks like basil and other herbs in there. The separate spot looks like a sauna it has the CHE above it and those plastic panels hold in heat and humidity. Love the idea

Are you familiar with "The Tortoise Table"? that's the go to literature, the reference worldwide to know which plants are good and which are not. I like to use it to turtles and bearded dragons also, almost all herbivores/omnivores reptiles can use the tortoise table as a reference. It's such a nice piece of literature. Go check it, and then you can decide which one you can have permanentelly in your terrarium

My red foot will bite at fake plants but never tries to eat them. He actually likes to move them like that. Stones are sometimes used as toys they love to move things around.
