What are your favorite cheese to use in mac & cheese?
Extra sharp cheddar, gouda, colby jack.
Gouda (sometimes smoked) Gruyère, wee bit of sharp Cheddar, and a wee bit of Velveeta. And yes, butter, milk.
Sometimes I do the Bechamel, sometimes the Mornay with some Parmesan. And sometimes when I just want it easy, I put the uncooked pasta with the milk and shredded cheeses straight into the oven. Can’t really go wrong with any combination of macaroni, milk, butter and cheese.
Love mac n cheese. My favorite!❤
I have a “go-to” macaroni cheese recipe that I found on the Food Network decades ago, called “Indulgent Mac n’ Cheese” ( Sara Moulton from New York ), which requires making a roux, but it’s without eggs. I’m looking for more of a creamy Southern style one. Looks like I found it!!🎉😂

YUMMMM!!! I had Dollar tree Mac and cheese last night it wasn't horrible I added some other ingredients tasted like old school Kraft. I was feeling risky lol. Anyway my daughter loves Mac and cheese. We can have pizza Roses, Mac and cheese and Eclair cake then we will have to go exercise also!!! Maybe I'll throw a salad on the side for me!!! Love you 💘Ms Paula!!🤗😘🌹🪺🐦🎀 Thank You💝

I never put sour cream in Mt Mac & cheese or eggs, but will try. I also add cracker crumbs on top & pads of butter.

It's a STRONG . . .possibility. . . . . ., that I'll prepare Macaroni "Pie"(my late Mommy used to refer to the meal, that way)for this morning's breakfast . . . .FOR . . .😢 . . .ONE. My end product WILL have the consistency of an actual Pie, that can be cut into slices/wedges😋😋😋😋😋😋!!
