A truly outstanding presentation. Been following you for many years. As a Type 1 diabetic 39 yrs, on pump 27 years. 90 yr old grandfather. Many years ago as a volunteer I spent 20 years running or facilitating various diabetes support groups, or giving presentations at groups, hospitals or medical symposiums in Missouri, Illinois, & Kansas. You are one of the very few diabetic RUclipsrs providing accurate and proper guidance. Thank you for helping others.
I’m only three months behind you and I can’t agree enough. My in range time has dropped, so it goes, but I’m working on not letting pump sites go too long any more. One day at a time!!!
Thanks for the vid! As a single t1 mom of a 11 month old this is so relatable (I’m 35, have diabetes close to 29 years now and some other auto immune diseases ).. I’ve had to go through it alone unfortunately with an emergency c section, which is almost a year ago 😅.. i feel like Ive been to hell and back but I keep it together whenever that lil smarty pants smiles at me! She’s also a bom of energy and a wise nose, and never ever sleeps more then 20/30 minutes a nap (now she does like 40/50min on a good day) and yeah I do shower when she’s down most of the time or do the dishes/laundry/floors etc otherwise I won’t come round to it, and then there’s other days where I just look like a homeless person and so does the house 😂🫡 can’t win ‘m all! ❤ thanks
Thank you so much Michelle! I love your videos and you’ve helped me through a lot including a diabetic ketoacidosis scare, navigating getting a gcm and pump this year, and you make me feel more confident about starting a family:) I can’t wait to be a mom, but it’s scary to think about sometimes. I appreciate your advise and how real you are sharing your experience!!!
Truly inspiring, that you even have the time to make a video in any format....beside one as good 👍as this.Trying to help all Type 1(2) Mom's touches me and my family...Well done!(Type 1 myself since 12yrs old born 1976)
Kudos to the Mom's that must be all in right from the start. It is a huge responsibility and they do it so well. Agree with all your points. Note that the second one is easier unless you have twins!
My 1 yr diaversary is on this coming October. Kids of a t1d parent are hella lucky cause of that their mental & physical health gonna be looked after intensively well cause of that t1d individuals have had endured all physical mental issues and tend to cope and go on with life, so wisdom and knowledge companied in your parent son 🤪
I have type 1 diabetes I have had it for 6 years I’m 14 now it hard and I think I am lacking a but but I just hate when people aren’t aware of what is it and think it’s the same as type 2 diabetes so I’m scared of judgement do you have any advice
So sweet of you to check in! I returned to work full time and have also been going through a rough period in my life, so I took a step back from social media. I just filmed a new video today though, so I should be back soon 💕
@@MichelleLord I always rewatch your old videos when I need some inspiration for better management so I'm gonna be happy to have you back! And I hope you feel better!
@MichelleLord Have you ever thought about a blog? You could share all kinds of thoughts, observations, etc, in a less pressured format that also includes photos and illustrations. That way, you could still "touch base" monthly or however often. And, if it works out, still post a video from time to time. Anyhow, take care of you and yours first and Happy Holidays!
Hey Michelle would you consider doing a video for what your favourite supplies are for pumping? Dexcom? ext. We are starting the pump in november and im looking different "supplies" like clips bags My son is 20 and has some delays so need this transition to be simple with lots of neat things to make it exciting for him
