Such a unbelievable fight!...Notice there was not much holding in this fight and in the 12 round Evander was holding more then Big George!...Wow George Forman a beast of a Human being!...
foreman, slower than in his earlier days, still hitting like a truck, moving his big machine-like body forward like a scrap press, not impressed by heavy strikes taken from the opponent. and all this at the age of 41, against the big and powerful holyfield. what a performance, what a show!
what Foreman did here was incredible. the man was in the wilderness for a decade, comes back in his 40s and gives all time great champ Evander Holyfield a hard fight.
Furman changed his style and was no longer as reckless as he was against Ali. This change allowed him to last until the end of the 12th round. Unbelievable and a true legend.
Holeyfield was one tough man. I’ve never seen a man give up such size as he did in many bouts while still being able to trade blows and usually come out victoriously. As the later Moorer fight showed, even at this age Foreman could send his younger opponents into new (and unfortunate) dimension. Hat’s off to Evander.
I 100% agree with you. We oughtbto make room for Foreman on Mount Rushmore as far as I'm concerned, but Holyfield was a freak of nature in his own right and I'm not convinced he's ever gotten the true recognition he deserves. How many other cruiserweights have been able to hang with the big dogs? David Haye? Pshhh. Usyk? So far so good but we could debate over his options for real competition. Holyfield battled against some killers.
The right hand Big George threw at 40:37 is the punch that Evander said was the hardest punch he took in his whole career. He went back to his corner and ask them if his teeth were still in his mouth because he could not feel them and you see as soon as George threw that punch that Evander grabbed him and held.
I’d say the uppercut from Bowe in the tenth round of the first fight was a pretty big one too..That uppercut would’ve ended 99% of fights but Holyfield was on his toes throwing left hooks and rights at the end of the round..Amazing round of boxing.
Foreman managed to break Michael Moore's mouthguard and split his lip with the cross. He also casually walked up to Gerry Cooney and floored him with a left uppercut. His power was a spectacle.
Idk why people are not giving Holyfield his flowers for actually going in there and competing with Foreman and actually fighting his heart out with him props to Holyfield for going in there and giving it he all like a true champion to even get in there with Foreman
I Never realized how close George was to knocking out Holyfield (11th Round) wow 🤩!!! What a shot ,Holyfield even said “Thought he knocked all my Teeth 🦷 Out!!!
I really believe that holyfield might be talking about round 10 because forman caught him with a short hard right hand that hurts holyfield in the mouth area. But I could be wrong and if I am it definitely happen in round 11.
I don't think anyone understands what a monster Foreman was as a boxer. Hollyfield was a freaking fearless killer. Look at how Hollyfield became the champ. Watch his fights in the 80's. Then Foreman took ALL THOSE SHOTS! GOD DAMN! That man was a freak! There will never be another Foreman.
That was a Great fight and the fact that Forman at 42 years old...never sat down in the Corner went 12 rounds and did his best 🥊 Heart of a Champion 🏆 most men would have been K.O.ed by those hits from Holifield
Round ten 1:16 left of the round. That straight left right from Foreman really stunned Holyfield. Look at it. Probably not enough power left, but he sure felt it.
The more I watch this fight the more I believe it was fixed, Foreman was clearly pulling punches and Holyfield despite hitting Big George numerous times was being very cautious as not to hit him hard enough to piss him off.🙈🙉🙊
Irresistible force? Meet Immovable object. Both of these guys are taken blows like you cant believe and neither of them are going down. Two of the toughest guys in boxing, no doubt about it.
Even Tyson ducked foreman. (Which has been told multiple times). The only reason was because cus always told Mike that he would never be able to beat foreman if they fought. Forman’s digging uppercut would be too bad for someone fighting peek a boo. Don was urging mike to agree on a fight with foreman and Tyson got mad, got up and said “ why don’t you fight that guy if you love him so much, he’s not what everyone thinks he is, it’s just an act”. And I think it would’ve ended in a foreman tko round 9/10. Maybe a Tyson decision victory if it was between 85-88.
@@SKa-tt9nm what ? He clearly said he wanted to fight mike tyson. Give me tyson. Tyson in the other hand didn't want anything to do with foreman, because of fighting style missmatching in his defavor

Foreman in the 70's was a force of sheer will and was relentless when raining down punches but his work in the 90s was so much more calculated, his jab and ring positioning especially.
Two great fighters. Hard to say if Foreman was ten years younger. Holly made his mark on boxing as one of the greatest and Foreman also in different ways. Both men...Greatly admired and respected.
This made Foreman legit. Bowe Lewis Tyson could have made a bundle fighting him. But they didnt. And Tyson fans have the gall to criticize Holy for not knocking him out and Tyson had an opporunity to fight Foreman when Holy was still a crusier weight
To be fair, Holyfield expended a lot more energy than did Foreman. He threw and landed a lot more punches. As for your last sentence, I won't even justify that goofiness.

F this, it’s koala time” can’t blame him, Foreman is constantly marching forward no matter what you hit him with is the thing of nightmares. Props to Forman for being a tank and showing old age is Jsut an inconvenience. And for Holyfield we got to really see how strong and sharp his combos and punches are; he’s very skilled, and again, against 99.9% of people, those punches would have taken them out. This is definitely now in my top ten favorite fights of all time.
prime foreman would of demolished prime evander
He would have smashed a "PED" free Holyfield!
And prime Mike Tyson
yaaaah, woulda destroyed him....
wronggg are you done talking stupid lmao@@
Prime George beats EVERYONE. Imagine him with his mental age of 44 and physical age of 28. Nobody touches him
46:38 George said "we don't have to judge he won it."
Great chin, excellent footwork, and superb boxing skills. Evander was one hell of a fighter. Every fighter had kryptonite and his was stamina. If his motor ran higher he could have been the best. It didn't help that he was fighter naturally bigger boxers.
Evander's STRENGTH was his stamina. What are you talking about?!
@@shishioh evanders strength was steroids and one of the dirtiest fighters ever. Head butting and many other dirty tactics. I respect him for having heart and being a phenomenal boxer. But I can’t help but see him headbutting and getting away with plus holding a lot.
@@dannyboswell7188 holding is apart of boxing you know. Head butts where just appart of his style
@@CesarPerez-it8xy which headbutts are illegal in boxing. He had dirty tactics plain and simple.
Well he had all the best dope in the world to help him on his way.
45:51 that one drunk friend who always tells you how much he loves and appreciate you
that's so fucking true lol
What I found really interesting was the foremans cross guard. You don't see that nowadays
Cross guard = no guard
Can only do that if you have an absolute iron chin and not afraid of brain damage
Foreman had a lot of tricks up his sleeve and still had the strength and chin of his youth that's how he made it so far with his comeback
His trainer Archie Moore was known for using it
@@francescoschettino5726 ur not stand and just do crossguard bruh,u have to move and crossguard cant be do at anytime, foreman use grappling or push with his heavy and big power body
You need ham sized forearms to pull that off.
42 almost 43 years old George is a win for box fans. Holyfield knows he loss inside his head not been able to knock down a 42 year old foreman is a loss and a win for George. Great great fight 2022
No, Evander Holyfield won that fight.
My favourite ring introduction of all time. Two of the most impressive records you'll ever hear.
My dad was the biggest George foreman fan both careers I wasnt born yet when he became a fan but we never missed a match back in the late 80s and 90s
Imagine when you hit your opponent with all power and the opponent coming again and again...
Love watching Foreman fight.. That push off out of every possible clinche was the coolest thing i ever seen as a kid.. Bro is like Jason stalking his prey
Imagine coming back into boxing. Fought his way back into a World Title fight. LOST! Then still had the desire to become great & winning the world title 3 years later. A true story of persistence
George foreman: "have you seen a living leyend on duty , hold on my sneaker"
goodness me a monster of a man, hats off to anyone who climbed in a ring with foreman
I’ve watched this fight four times.. George foreman is so “underrated “ he’s not talked about enough but he’s my favorite heavyweight hands down
Such a unbelievable fight!...Notice there was not much holding in this fight and in the 12 round Evander was holding more then Big George!...Wow George Forman a beast of a Human being!...
which includes the legendary George Foreman, Muhammad Ali & Mike Tyson. Evander Holyfield is not a boxer❎ but a football player✅ playing header
foreman, slower than in his earlier days, still hitting like a truck, moving his big machine-like body forward like a scrap press, not impressed by heavy strikes taken from the opponent.
and all this at the age of 41, against the big and powerful holyfield. what a performance, what a show!
These hits would snap most men’s necks, full respect to both of them .
what Foreman did here was incredible. the man was in the wilderness for a decade, comes back in his 40s and gives all time great champ Evander Holyfield a hard fight.
These fights still so much better than todays fights broo this is the real boxing
Foreman eats punches like it's straight of his grill👏
Furman changed his style and was no longer as reckless as he was against Ali. This change allowed him to last until the end of the 12th round. Unbelievable and a true legend.
I love when an underdog when’s against all adversity. That’s why I love Erik The Terrible Morales. The heart will get you far in my book.
00:21:43 is my best moment when announcer says: and you see the face of Holyfield squinting from pain 😂😂😂
You mean 20:43?
Holeyfield was one tough man. I’ve never seen a man give up such size as he did in many bouts while still being able to trade blows and usually come out victoriously.
As the later Moorer fight showed, even at this age Foreman could send his younger opponents into new (and unfortunate) dimension. Hat’s off to
Evander.
He's been on peds
I 100% agree with you. We oughtbto make room for Foreman on Mount Rushmore as far as I'm concerned, but Holyfield was a freak of nature in his own right and I'm not convinced he's ever gotten the true recognition he deserves. How many other cruiserweights have been able to hang with the big dogs? David Haye? Pshhh. Usyk? So far so good but we could debate over his options for real competition. Holyfield battled against some killers.
He's an all-time great pound for pound boxer.
That punch missed.
Big George = GOAT. You disagree, you go to gulag.
You are speaking facts, comrade!!
I guess you can say that he took your breath away with how spectacular he was...
You have first name of Foreman and Meyweather
I love how intensely Foreman listens to his corner
Nunca vi sus peleas en directo porque no fui de esa época dorada, pero si busco estos videos para ver estas leyendas, que grande son estos guerreros, esto si era una belleza de boxeo,
Foreman, Hollyfield, Mike T. Mohamed Ali, Frazier, Joe Louis, ect.
Did anybody else notice Stephen A. Smith doing a good job refereeing
Lol
And friendship at the end. So good to see in combat sports.
foreman would have destroyed holyfield as a younger man. evander is like ken Norton.
Foreman was tryna do a walk-ing rope a dope...
Dirty fighter
@@hyperborea7202 who
Ha!!
That was a Great fight and the fact that Forman at 42 years old...never sat down in the Corner went 12 rounds and did his best 🥊 Heart of a Champion 🏆 most men would have been K.O.ed by those hits from Holifield
duas lendas!!
"You don't have to tell me. He won it."
It’s 2023 and I still come and watch this fight 🔥🔥🔥
Even Tyson ducked foreman. (Which has been told multiple times). The only reason was because cus always told Mike that he would never be able to beat foreman if they fought. Forman’s digging uppercut would be too bad for someone fighting peek a boo. Don was urging mike to agree on a fight with foreman and Tyson got mad, got up and said “ why don’t you fight that guy if you love him so much, he’s not what everyone thinks he is, it’s just an act”. And I think it would’ve ended in a foreman tko round 9/10. Maybe a Tyson decision victory if it was between 85-88.
Agree, I think Foreman would have been able to take Tyson’s punches and land some big shots.
Foreman has said multiple times he wanted no part of mike Tyson.
@@SKa-tt9nm what ? He clearly said he wanted to fight mike tyson. Give me tyson.
Tyson in the other hand didn't want anything to do with foreman, because of fighting style missmatching in his defavor
@@SKa-tt9nmHe also said he wanted to fight Mike Tyson during his active boxing days.
Wow,wow, wow! George, a warrior @ 42yrs old is simply amazing. Evander, was tired as he’s done everything, but it appears he’s hitting a brick wall!!
It’s crazy how effortlessly Foreman just pushes Holyfield around. Holyfield is a BIG man and he’s being pushed around like a kid.
Many years later Holyfield talked about that right hand he received from Foreman in the 10th round...he said he never saw it coming and it really hurt him.
Imagine giving up 50lbs to any opponent!
Haye did it multiple times and managed to Ko one too
@@francescoschettino5726 but not against a puncher like George

Foreman was one of a kind
@Ahmad is Ahmad tf this gotta do with Fury and Wilder
@Black Moses what
thank u for this
Foreman in the 70's was a force of sheer will and was relentless when raining down punches but his work in the 90s was so much more calculated, his jab and ring positioning especially.

Two great fighters. Hard to say if Foreman was ten years younger. Holly made his mark on boxing as one of the greatest and Foreman also in different ways. Both men...Greatly admired and respected.
What a great fight. Legends skillful and tough in equal amounts
It’s so crazy how many hard punches hit foreman’s face and he never went down, he is ELITE AS FK
Old George went the distance with a young Holyfield. Old Holyfield KNOCKED OUT Heavyweight Champ Mike Tyson.
This made Foreman legit. Bowe Lewis Tyson could have made a bundle fighting him. But they didnt. And Tyson fans have the gall to criticize Holy for not knocking him out and Tyson had an opporunity to fight Foreman when Holy was still a crusier weight
Mike was afraid of George
Back in the 70s, everyone wanted to see Foreman get beat. In the '90s, everyone wanted him to win. That was a really fun comeback. Thanks George.
Two great champions , legends and gentlemen loved by everybody .
8:30 someone yelled "FK HIM UP, FK HIM UP EVANDER!!"
Foreman looks huge in the ring with that robe on, like a gigantic executioner. 😳
The smile by Forman when he heard who is winner
Foreman had better stamina and endurance than Evander seen by 10th round . Punch and run Evander that is.
To be fair, Holyfield expended a lot more energy than did Foreman. He threw and landed a lot more punches. As for your last sentence, I won't even justify that goofiness.
@@johnulmerRacing Awww , thank you!
What a dumb statement
@@johnulmerRacing Evander landed more punches, then hugged up every time he got tired or George had strength. He knew he couldn't stand toe to toe the whole fight because George was such a powerful hitter. free hugs
George was too fat. He was so tired he couldn't lift his arms to block the punches. He was an open target
WHAT A FREAKING MAN GEORGE IS !!! OMG , WHAT A BEAST , Great fight so much respect for both fighters but for George to come back at that age & after all those Years & go the distance alone is insane & I know every second every minute he knew he was fighting for those great men in his generation that he shared the ring with & George u made them dam Proud & showed why you all are the Golden area of boxing 🥊 & why there will never be another heavyweight division as great as those men .
Big George!
What an absolute legend. Take nothing away from the always in top shape, tough as teak machine that always had to fight above his weight, the amazing Evanda Holyfield but this was the fight that dispelled any doubt that Big George was just out for some big pay days & largely a business ploy or gimmick that was not a genuine tilt at the title.
George won back his respect & proved he was dead serious about becoming the World Champion once again.
What an amazing man & as always Evanda turned up, showed his impeccable conditioning & his near matchless trademark toughness.
Had Holyfield fought Foreman in his prime , Holyfield would have been knocked out in the second round, just my opinion.
