ngl for xiii it shouldve been bahamut as well that fight had on the edge of my seat crying
Or Cid Raines and Attacus @@mrdragonix8677
Yiazmat has a surprising connection to FF5 as well, you know of the FF5 superbosses Shinryu and Omega weapon? Yiazmat and it's counterpart in the great crystal omega mark 12 are FF12'S version of them
Maybe I'm in the minority but when I think of FFX, in terms of challenge as well as being a mandatory boss, Yunalesca was a WALL of a boss the first time I fought her. Amazing design, "this isn't even my final form" type changes throughout, and an actual challenge with her zombie status and petrifyication inflicting moves
Her and Seymour Flux was a bitch of a difficulty spike
She's good but there are better bosses imo
The stakes are high, the beginning dialogue is so memorable, the fight is difficult as hell.. it really ticks all the boxes.
@@Historicutuberat 11 years old she was a wall lol I beat it eventually at that age tho.
@@djkoolkids6930 Seymour Flux is quite a bit harder tho
Bahamut- ignoring how easy it is, is easily one of the best boss battles ever created by mankind
That boss is cinema. Best boss I have ever fought
The music was nuts
Yea, but which Bahamut?
@ we all know which one. 16 Bahamut
Yup
Hell House from FF7 Remake and Jenova Emergent from FF7 Rebirth are my favorites! Such amazing boss fights!!
@@fearlesscheshirecat1411 ah this cool too
Hell house was badass! Also jenova dreamweaver
I hated the Jenova boss fights in those games but the Hell House fight was a treat.
Anima's design is cool but FFXIII has some really great bosses in the back half (not to mention the excellent Cieth Stone missions). I would've opted for Barthandelus or Vercingetorix
Right? This was the worst pick on the list. You don’t even have any abilities/paradigms 😭
Barthandelus' first encounter, Attacus, Cid Raines.
@@6foot7natiboy barthandelus 2nd too!!
Cid Raines I'll say no more 🔥
Yeah, I don't know why he picked Anima as XIII's best boss when literally every other boss in that game is better. My favourite bosses would have to be Barthandelus 1 & 2, and Dahaka. I really enjoyed the Eidolon battles too!
I just played through FF4 this past week, it’s got to be the 4 fiends fight where they’re all together. But no matter how cool the Dark Knight Cecil fight is, you literally win by doing NOTHING…I’ll admit a disappointment in that choice.
Tower of Kefka is best in VI, Rubicante in IV, Necrophobe in V, Barthandelus (first encounter) in XIII. It wasn’t that difficult to not dissapoint🥲
Ozma - Final Fantasy 9 This was one of The Best Bosses in the series. You were always one move from Death fighting him. 🧏🏿♂️🙆🏽♀️
I thought Black Waltz 1 and Sea Lion was more exciting. The way Zidane woke up and had to face them both by himself was pretty epic and badass.
Kuja, BW3 or Death Gaze for me
Anima is a bad pick for FFXIII, he’s basically a tutorial boss. Barthandelus and Vercingetorix are some of the best bosses, even Neochu or Long Gui.
They probably nvr played 13 or hate it and threw shade here
Why pick basically the first boss. Almost any boss would've been better. I really enjoyed the airship fight with Lightning, Hope, and Fang. The one where they are at Hope's house.
For those that don’t know, FFXIV’s Endsinger has two battle songs. The first is her theme that is a medley of all the final boss themes from each expansion before. Her phase 2 song is what everyone calls ‘Our theme song’, because it is. Masayoshi Soken is amazing at making beautiful and powerful songs, and if you’re interested you can try out Final Fantasy XIV for free on PC, PS4/5, and XBOX up to the Stormblood expansion with zero restrictions on play time.
It's indicative of when the fight shifts from US fighting a final boss, to HER fighting a final boss!
Justice for Kuja
Seriously, you went with Dark Cecil over Rubicante? Don't get me wrong, Cecil's character development is good, but Rubicante (who is 1 of the 4 elemental archfiends) not only does that with Edge, he also has a badass theme. Love the FFXIV version made my jaw drop when I first heard it.
I know right it was such a shit choice, I would have even accepted asura or even the CPU tower boss cause they're really good for having to think outside the box
I knew a lot of these picke were gonna be wack as soon as they said Dark Cecil. Then they said it had epic battle music and I'm just like ????
And all you do is just stand there and block with Cecil.
@@sethleonard9158Yeah the best battle music in IV is Battle with the Four Fiends.
Gonna have to disagree with the FFXIV pick. Endsinger was a good boss, but Shinryu, who's back you are riding for this fight, was probably one of the finest final boss fights ever made back when you fought him in Stormblood.
Dark Knight over the Four Fiends? Seriously?
Yeah, and the train on 6 is another silly pick. Two bad choices.
How dare you ignore Kefka from FF6 and bring that dumb train instead lol
Choosing Necron for IX is crazy lmao I remember it being the most hated final boss in FF history when I was younger because of how completely random and out of nowhere it was. Kuja got robbed
Your choice for ffx is certainly interesting. With sin, seymour and itz variations and bloody dark aeons and penance, you chose evrae??
Interesting because it's a limited party fight as well. No Yuna means that fight could be a pain depending how people have leveled.
You beat Dark Knight Cecil by doing nothing, and the battle ends after two turns. That's... quite a choice for the 'best boss'.
FFIX have some of the best bosses in turn based game EVER
agree
Absolutely agreed. Black Waltz 1, Gizamaluke, Beatrix, Garland & Trance Kuja all come to mind.
Fighting Bahamut with Phoenix by your side was mind blowing insane. It was also the perfect way for the 3 brothers to work together to defeat Ultima, but at a cost.
You guys picked the worst choices for IV, VI, IX, X, and XIII
Phantom Train I think is a fine choice. It wouldn't be MY choice, but it's far from the worst. I mean, you can suplex a TRAIN. Chardanook or Kefka would be my only two other choices.
Evvrae is at least. Unique I suppose. But I’d argue the best boss fight there is the third Seymour or yunalesca
@@WhatMyr yeah i didn’t understand that pick either.
Someone calling that witch Clives mother thats definitely news to me. I personally call her the blight of the Rosefield family.
@@C.A.M584she was torn and poison of the family even she abandon her first son clive to be slave
She may have been the biggest bitch in the game (and possibly even the series considering she saw her husband and even all of her children only as pawns to gain more money and political power) but she was still biologically Clive’s mother.
"If you thought Gilgamesh was goofy, allow us to introduce the phantom train!"
Ultros: AM I A JOKE TO YOU?!
You guys are like IGN. You only play like one segment for each title and say it’s “best” game
FF16: Hugo
FF15: Ravus
FF13: Cid Raines
FF12: Demon Wall
FF10: Seymour Flux
FF9: Kuja
FF8: Mecha Spider
FF7: Sephy
FF6: The entire final boss fight
FF5: Atomos
FF4: Golbez First fight
FF3: Cloud of Darkness
FF2: Emperor
FF1: Tiamant
Also, the choices u gave to FF9 and FF13 are extremely questionable 😐
Yeah golbez was better and of course twincast ultima in 3d version (ds only had hard mode at launch I believe) before it got power crept was fun too.
Ff3 cloud of darkness was boring particle beam spam lol so cheap though. Hein's weakness change was better lol go scholar.
I agree with Ravus from FFXV. It wasn't particularly challenge, but its very long life-bar makes you to use every technic at your disposal and ends up being really fun! Another bosses I enjoyed greatly were Gilgamesh and Cor Leonis from Gladiolus DLC, those were hard and excellent made like a Dark Souls' boss!
i appreciate that you didn't skip over FFXI like a lot of listicles tend to do
For the train in FF6, just use a phoenix down... easiest battle in that game!
For me, 2nd best boss in XVI was Titan Lost. That was epic!
5:59 honestly and I don't care if I get cancelled for this take, I think Ruby Weapon is better than that one winged pushover! I mean he has the backdrop and the music but the one thing he does NOT have is difficulty! There's being easy at the very beginning, which makes perfect sense, being easy in the middle of the game, with the right preparation is fine but not as fine if preparation don't matter and then you have the final boss who is meant to test your mastery of the game, and this guy being piss easy is completely inexusable! It should be ILLEGAL to make a final boss Glass Joe (IYKYK) levels of easy!
Great list. However, I would have chosen Seymour Omnis because of that stellar boss theme and the backdrop you are fighting on.
Flux was my choice
every NUMBERED Final Fantasy
this is omitting Tactics, Crystal Chronicles, Crystal Bearers,Type 0, World of, Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core, Stranger of Paradise, the Sequels to X, XIII, and VII's remakes
"Mainline" Final Fantasy titles ARE the numbered Final Fantasies. They also technically include the VII Remakes and the sequel titles (X-2, XIII-2, and Lightning Returns). Tactics, Crystal Chronicles, Dirge of Cerberus, WoFF, Type-0, and Stranger of Paradise are all side entries.
I thought the zanarkand fight where you switch platforms in ffx was interesting
Spectral Keeper was pretty good yeah
Errr.. we all know the most perfect boss in FFXIV is PERFECT ALEXANDER!
Define "Greatest." 'Cause in the absence of an objective definition, this list feels completely subjective and arbitrary. Honestly, you were probably better off just listing "strongest storyline bosses," "strongest bosses," "bosses with best mechanics," or "most iconic bosses." Those at least give us a much more objective criteria behind your selection process so that we can at least understand where you're coming from.
Otherwise, going from selecting Dark Cecil and Gilgamesh to selecting Phantom Train just feels jarring.
The Endsinger hold a special place in ffxiv for me manly because footfalls play in the second half. To which a lot of people/players agree that it isn't the Endsinger's theme that's playing but OURS!
1. Garland from FFI
2. Emperor Mateus from FFII
3. Cloud of Darkness from FFIII
4. Theodore Harvey/Golbez from FFIV
5. Exdeath from FFV
6. Kefka Palazzo from FFVI
7. Sephiroth from the FFVII franchises throughout the years
8. Ultimecia from FFVIII
9. Kuja from FFIX
10. Jecht from FFX
11. Kam'lanaut from FFXI
12. Judge Gabranth from FFXII
13. Caius Ballad from FFXIII franchise
14. Zenos yae Galvus from the FFXIV franchises
15. Ardyn Izunia from the FFXV franchises
16. Barnabas Tharmr from FFXVI
I'm sorry but giving the FFVI spot to the Phantom Train is capp. Suplexing the train is a funny meme, but doesnt make it a qualifier. It's not even in the top 3 of FFVI bosses. Certainly not before Kefka, Atma or the Warring Triad. I wouldnt even place it before Ultros...
Alot of these choices suck.
The red carpet has teeth
I got that reference
FfXIII cid was the best boss fight as he was the tipping point on the game.
FFIX you could have chosen any other boss fight and it would have been better than Necron
1:41 But he can get easily sneezed by the Blood Sword
Anyway my list is
FF1) Lich
FF2) Emperor of Hell
FF3) Cloud of Darkness
FF4) Rubricante
FF5) Neo Exdeath
FF6) Kefka Palazzo
FF7) Safer Sephiroth
FF8) Omega Weapon
FF9) Necron
FF10) Evrae
FF11) The Archangels
FF12) Yiazmat
FF13) Anima (Even though the game sucks)
FF14) Endsinger
FF15) Leviathan
FF16) Bahamut
In my opinion, the best ff15 boss fight is against ifrit
FF9 Ozma it took me 20 years to beat him ! As a kid I wasn't the smartest
FF13 Vercingetorix Even if he was an optional one
13-2 Any Caius fight He's the best antagonist ever
13-3 still Caius any fight against him is intense
FF15 I agree ! there's no way someone pick another boss in this game
FF16 Ifrit ! Even if this game is a joke the boss fights were cool and some of them epic, Ifrit was !
FFX's entry not being sir jecht (braska's final aeon) felt criminal
Although Phantom train is goofy and the suplex will always be a legendary meme, ffvi will always be either Kefka or Atma weapon
I really loved the fights against the statues
8:45 Incorrect choice. The correct answer is the final Seymour fight with the awesome music
FFX has a ton of great bosses. good pick
Ghost train really? Because of the suplex meme Ultros or Kefka should have been best boss for 6
I’ve seen all in gaming from 1980-Now there are many bosses from Final Fantasy
There'a no challenge in FF8's Omege if you get to low health and use the Hero item to make yourself invincible, you just spam Squall's limit break and it dies in no time at all
16 I’d give to Titan or Leviathan.
Yet another video that proves yall haven’t played the games or even researched fan opinions.
Ultimicia is widely considered NOT to be a good villain.
Anima from FFXIII is a horrible boss fight since you ONLY have access to attacking at that point, you have no magic or even paradigms to switch to.
Evrae was NOT the best boss in FF X 😂. Anima, Yunalesca, Sin, Jecht, Penance, EVERY SINGLE Seymour battle was more exciting and fun than that one. What?
For me, no matter how epic Bahamut or Titan boss fight is, my favourite will always be the Odin boss fight
WatchMojo's top 10 whatever boss list in whatever order
Balthier is still the man though😂😂😂
There's no challenge in FF8's Omega if you get to low health and use the Hero item to make yourself invincible, you just spam Squall's limit break and it dies in no time at all, as shown in the video lol
No way that anyone considers the Endsinger as best boss in FFXIV. Every Bozja boss, even the field "fates" are miles above in quality.
Bahamut even uses zettaflare. Take that Donald!
Good list! Now let's do the same list for Dragon Quest.
yall aren't even trying to hide the fact you didn't play Final Fantasy XIII
Interesting picks for IV & V. Not bad. I was thinking the final boss battles.
For 6 I guess I’d say death gaze, the tall boss leading up to kefka and kefka himself for that music alone!, the tentacles just cuz Edgar rejoins the fight, humbaba
Why u didn't add ff7 remake integrate and rebirth😢? They should be added even though they are remake. You also missed other ff titles like ff tactics, dimensions.
Got to disagree on 10 and 14 10 for me would be the first encounter with Seymour where he summons Anima against you and 14 has to be Hades
I would have chosen The Kafka final battle, super epic and that boss theme I all time awesome
4 final bahamut in ff13-2 had always been epic.
i found it great that you named it "best" boss and not hardest, thus sephiroth makes sense!
2:07 for some reason there are only 2 blood swords in the "modern" version...what a let down.
That wasn't "every Final Fantasy Game", since you left sequels and prequels out
There are other FF games. Like "World of Final Fantasy" and the "Tactics" series.
As for FF12, I'd say the "Demon Wall" is on par with FFX's Evrae.
ANIMA for FF13?! WHAT?! This list clearly doesn't want to be taken seriously.
Anything from 15 and 16 are just hp sponges. The best boss ever is Ozma
15 yes, 16 no
I wouldn’t consider endsinger best boss in 14 but each their own
Cloud of Darkness spams exactly 1 attack and it gets on a best bosses list? Mojo disappoints as usual.
ENDSINGER??? why not HADES of Shadow Bringers...
It had a BANGER soundtrack
The Fight was WAY Fucking amazing
Everybody LOVES Emet Selch
ITS HADES!
I'm shocked by the choice for FFX. it's a fantastic boss, but i was expecting (spoilers just in case)
Sinspawn Gui or Braska's Final Aeon
Why did Tactics and Type-0 get skipped Tactics has the best story line and type-0 has the most brutal ending..
They said mainline titles, those are spin-offs.
You obviously didn't face the Gil Turtle
Between some of the baffling picks here, and the even more baffling mispronunciations of some of the character names, and some straight-up misinformation, you've gotta wonder if they just borrowed this from somebody else's listicle. Whoever compiled this has clearly never played the series.
Bahamut FTW
I lowkey found titan fight better than bahamut in ff16. Odin was the best gameplay wise
Video games forever ❤
What about stranger of paradise: final fantasy origin?
I haven't played a lot of FF to know any good boss fights
MOJO plays needs time stamps
Top 10 kid friendly horror games
You forgot FFX-2!
Minus XVI, this list really does the back half of the series a horrible disservice. Necron is arguably one of the worst final bosses in the franchise, X has Seymour Flux, Yunalesca and Braska's Final Aeon as easily defensible picks, XII picked the 6 hour long boring HP sponge, XIII the tutorial boss where you only have attack and potion, and XV a scripted cutscene fight that's literally impossible to lose. Awful picks.
Nah.... FFX should absolutely to go the Jecht fight. That stupid flying gecko fight picked is far and away the best fight in FFX.
Seymour Flux
*Gets to FF9 section* Is beatrix a joke to you??
Sa-BEAN
Endsinger is not the best boss for FF14 lol, TOP Ultimate Raid absolutely destroys endsinger in every aspect.
About or less than 5% of the playerbase does Ultimate content. So, of course, they picked a story boss. Personally they should've put T13 on this list imo, but the people making this video like don't play these games and are just getting FFWiki boss articles and reciting them in a video lol.
Endsinger seriously? Seriously? Tell me youve never played XIV without telling me you've never played XIV. DSR is the best fight and if you want to go off MSQ extremes then Thordan himself is
I mean if we are going for most iconic boss in ffxiv, then the Warrior of Light in Shadowbringer is at the top. I mean, we are more or less fighting the FIRST Final Fantasy Hero
@m.a.dmatt6689 warrior of light isnt as iconic as Thordan tho to XIV, DSR really bumped him up, maybe next ultimate Warrior of Light will become more iconic
@@xierotron DSR isn't really accessible to the casual player though so I can see it not being chosen. Even from a storyline perspective, WOL in 5.3 is definitely more iconic than Thordan. *Game spoilers ahead* Elidibus had practically been manipulating things in the background forever, and when you finally find out his true identity it's the very first Final Fantasy hero? That's peak. Then the fight itself was GOATED mechanic wise, with dude being the only person to ever hit a LB4, and countering your LBs with hallowed ground. Everything about that fight and it's conclusion was top tier
FF's Crisis Core????
This list is kinda bad. It's mostly just final bosses and secret bosses. Fighting Yiazamat is not fun.
Yunalesca was way cooler than evrae
BAAAAAAAAAAARTZ!!!!
A lot of people seem to be questioning the FF X pick, but i'm more surprised by Necron. With choices like Ozma, Kuja, Hades, etc; I'm not even sure Necron would make most players top 10 let alone #1. Even the normal Yan enemies are more impactful than Necron.
The lack of research on pronunciations in this video is a little distracting. Some of them just straight up miss letters in a name.
And the FFXI ... Elvaan virtues what? No? Each Ark Angel represents each race's, including Elvaan, defining flaw: Arrogance, Envy, Cowardice, Rage, Apathy.
🤦🏼♀️
FFXVI is saddly a average game... But don't miss out on the Bahamut vs Ifrit fight !
Look it up on youtube even. It's trully epic!
