That viper is STILL KILLING IT
I love how Travis’s car looked the oldest but had the most futuristic aero I ever seen
Stood in that crowd watching the McMurtry was insane. Nothing else got a reaction like that it was surreal
I owned a Subaru station wagon back in the 1980's. Seeing it again here, although severely upgraded- is such an emotive flash back to awesome times driving a great awd car.
Travis pastrana's Subaru is ALIEN looking. I'm loving those high-speed air brakes.
now THIS is a quality video!! to the point with everything you want and nothing you don't need
That McMurtry is no joke
Some of those EVs sound like jets. The vortex behind the McMurtry is impressive. Pastrana Family Huckster super impressed.
"vortex" = exhaust from fan.
OK..... chronological comments. After watching the EV's.........then to the Porsche Cup car.........VISCERAL! BRILLIANT!! I pray we never lose that aspect of motorsport. 🙏
Had to listen to it twice!!!
Love the active aero on the subaru! Also, the first Porsche was mighty impressive when looking at the opponents
And that was just a GT3 Cup car. Let see a RSR🙂
Seeing that active aero on an 80's car got me flabbergasted. Idk why but it felt so new and exciting to see an old car having that rather than the newer super/hypercars. Its way beyond cool for me.
March 782, brilliant run, but that McMurty, Max Chilton, balls of titanium, that was one committed run, FOS doesn't disappoint
Alright that Supervan is kinda cool
The Porsche GT Cup 😍 what a sound, what a car
Freaking awesome video as always! I love this channel
Next here I hope I will be finally able to come the Festival
Cheers from Italy
That McMurtry looked almost unreal with how fast it was going.
"That McMurtry just f**ks off"
that viper is one of the most badass race cars of all time, its up there with the gt2 class corvette c6r
That car sounds like a massive thunder coming your way
I love the old damn near 30 or even 30+ year old brutes still going out there and putting on a top 10 show. It warms my old, cold heart just a little lol
So many highlights, the event was incredible in so many ways! The van, the old Subaru, GT3 and GT4s, the McMurty… some unbelievable runs!
That family Huckster with Travis behind the wheel was the most spectacular!
That 911 GT3 Cup sounded phenomenal but man that McMurty was stunning, absolute rocket. Loved the Ford e-van and Subaru as well.
that subaru is the best thing man
the way it was hugging the corners 😳
An old Subaru Wagon with active aero. Absolute perfection
Mc Murtry rules! What a car! Awesome acceleration and far far far from the others.... Who can beat'em?
any of the top 10 british hillclimb championship contenders I'd imagine....... there's a reason they don't invite them
@@paulnutter1713 You can't be serious
@@crybaby1363 i take it you've never seen Alex Summers or any of the other top boys go up Doune, Shelsley, Harewood etc etc etc then.
@@paulnutter1713 if they are not invited, then they can't beat it. So your statement is invalid in this topic.
@@sepg5084 the question was "who can beat em? “..... I answered...... not who can beat em if invited
One day im gonna drive at goodwood! Motorbikes and cars!
Honestly every single legend, car and motorcycle that went up the hill climb this weekend was sensational
Seeing Travis Pastrana take Stone Wall like that had me knowing hands down, it definitely wasn’t a stunt double. Balls the size of Jupiters moons that man.
Hahaha... It's the Flint wall. Stonewall is something quite different
The McMurty is going so fast in following shots its like watching a video game replay.
Pastrana's run was insane... I have seriously underestimated him as a driver in the past... EV's might be fast, but they have so much aero they look like they are on rails, the runs that are most fun to watch are this Subaru GL wagon, the Toyota Takoma, the 1999 Mclaren and other like them, where you can actually sense the true power of the car with your eyes and ears
So you want cars that are outdated and inefficient in what they do. Ok
@@zethloveless7238 it's an exibition race, a car show if you like... Not so much a sport to look fo efficiency... Yes seeing the fastest car is exciting but only as a one-off every year... I would much rather see the beast of turin or a can-am car thundering up the hill than a bunch of cars whistling around which you can see in any sport in current times
Pastrana getting 4th on the hill in the family car, then he can get onto a motorcycle and do a double 360 end-over-end. Amazing!!
Everything with a petrol engine sounded wicked.
Nice to see some of them still had engines 🤣, but you can really see the difference between electric and internal combustion with this. The electric cars a fast but more controlled, the ICE cars make up for being a bit slower by giving us the drama and the noise... Then you have Travis pastrana in a Lego brick Legacy with active aero!! Awesome
tbf, they don't allow faster ICE cars on the hill since they consider it too unsafe. there are a lot of ICE cars that can be demolish the mcmurty. Even more so on conventional tracks.
@@askeladden450 Now I wanna see some of those, are you talking about stuff like the 919 or something?
@@CockatooDude or a formula one car that isn't a dinosaur. If a 40 year old formula 2 car finished 3rd, imagine what even an 80s formula 1 car could do
@@memes_man52 imagine what the Mercedes W11 or W10 could do
@@shaneh1872 It could porpoise the drivers' spine right out of the cockpit 😅
6:38 just wow. that car gives me serious tomahawk vibes
Give it active aero and you essentially have an electric Tomahawk.
McMurtry just flexed on everyone with the Speirling. An utterly insane piece of British engineering! I want to see this run at the British GP next weekend as an exhibition lap to see what it can really do.
That body can handle a shitload more power, it was far more stable than any other car there while still outpacing. Once that thing is fully tuned up, I can't imagine there being a parallel.
Great job on the sound recording and mixing!
A perfect blend of new and old, beautiful
That Ford super van tho 🥶
I was meh on the electric cars, loving the gas powered ones (that Subaru... my word) and then the final car just stunned me. Are we sure that wasn't fast forwarded?
That spierling was insanely fast. I thought the GT4 E Performance looked quick but that thing was on an entirely different level
That Macmurtry Speirling is an incredible modern day Chaparral 2J. 🤯
I love that the old Group C cars are still in the run. Impressive.
That McMurty was indeed insane and scary fast and it sounds like an overpowered rc electric jet plane...
BUT GUYS, AN OLD SUBARU WITH ACTIVE AERO!! How come no one is mentioning that!?
Holy crap, that Porsche 911 GT3 Cup woke me up with a jump after I was snoozing through the electric hairdryer cars.
Yup, vacuums going quick is rather quiet.
@@soisaidtogod4248 they're just... a bit... soulless. 🤷🏻♂️
@@BigSupes81 Say that to the engineers and designers putting all their time and effort into those cars.
@@PG-20 meh, they get paid and let's be honest, they'd probably rather be working on an internal combustion project lol.
#1 LoL 😄 look's like a 2x speed video 🤯 Hilarious 🥳😁 Congratulations 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻
The McMurtry is absolutely amazing. That things speed and run instantly put a smile on my face.
1:26 - Jenson Button in the FC1X was a joy to watch
I'm still resisting 'electric' for my traditional V8 Fossils - to the death . . . . . but my resistance is waning. when i see performance (from both, man & machine) like that
6 seconds faster than anything else
I love how everyone is taking these smooth lines round the track, then Travis comes along and beats a bunch of high-tech electric cars driving nearly sideways.
He full sent it. That is some true skill and the most aggressive driving I've ever seen on this circuit.
That McMurty car is so unbelievably fast! Great piece of engineering!
But, why was there no live timer during the broadcast? That really bugged me :/
They’ll probably add it for the “full timed shootout” video.
They did at the start (at least Thursday) but it was bugged and eventually they removed, it's better to not be there when it's not showing the right time. It's also a shame that the info was not very clear, having to open a pdf to know the participants instead of having it on the website it's a bit lame...
GT3 Cup Car and the Subaru! Amazing drive! But The GT4 comes on top of the GT3 - like on the road :-P (yes yes, it is electric - it was needed to come closer to the vacuum rocket -> Insane machine! But you can only love it - despite being electric). Amazing to experience it all live! Thank you!!!!
I love EV's and they are absolutely the future, but for I preffer combustion engines for racing.
That said, that last run was incredible, it looked sped up.
It would be so fun to know the trap speed at the top. Great stuff!!!
I saw a run where the McMurtry did 149mph
2 tonne of downforce to be exact
Sounds like a rocket on wheels and 6 seconds clear of everyone. That's a crazy car.
6.42s difference sounds absurd doesn't it
I am impressed with the EV performance!
@andersondick que carro sensacional,vc poderia comentar sobre ele no seu canal
Pastrana's Car was my favorite, then the Electric Porsche ...as a side note, The Electric Super Van had the best dialed suspension by a country mile
all very impressive and awesome to watch. Till Max Chilton gets off the line, just on an other level all together, he must have the reaction times of a housefly, it's incredible, would have loved to see it in person. Hopefully next year.
