The greatest scholar of the roots of the banjo, a great musician, and a wonderful teacher of children responsible for Nora Brown, as a good and noble friend, writing me about my own inconsequential personal problems, the night he died. I keep his picture on the wall where he is looking down on me telling me to get to work!
