In the future, music will be the only thing that matters anymore. It may be the only thing that saves Thom and Vic on Burnt Earth. Buy Grickle art at: gricklemart.com/
Oh wow, I remember seeing this when I first discovered RUclips eight years ago. I was on the computer at high school and this was one of the first videos I saw. I love Grickle's work but just kind of let life tear me away from a lot of older content creators. I'm so happy he made a comeback and look forward to his future works as they're all so timeless and neat so far. Why does this channel not have more subs though? :c
I also just watched this again after 8 years, it was one of my favorite videos. I'll be exploring Grickle's other works now, see what else I'd forgotten about.
Grickle, you have no idea how much i miss the early days of this channel. I still can't get over "the last duet on earth", still is and still will be one of the coolest compositions i've ever seen on RUclips.
Even for limited animation, just masterfully executed. The last moments of the duet were to die for (literally). Definitely the highlight of the day. Thanks for this!
I have been a fan of this grickle episode for a long time. So, in the words of those who apparently are leaving most of the recent comments.....I am to liking this.
AWESOME! This is definitely your best work. Great on so many levels. You should seriously enter it into a film festival or contest of some sort. It's that good. And you've somehow managed to make zombies both cute and scary.
This is an OG RUclips video. I remember being in 6th grade when RUclips was practically brand new. To this day it's still one of my favorite videos. All these comments are people referring to their younger days just discovering this video. It's really nice to see how happy this made everyone.
This is both a profound and humorous piece. Beautiful. Kudos to its creator and all involved. I suggest this be played next to Pink's "Dear Mr. President."
Saw this a few years ago. And it's the only movie I can think about at times that gives me chills still. And I watch horror movies, well, not daily but atleast weekly. I don't know what it is about it, but I like it!
Lol, I must've seen this video atleast 50 times. It's what turned me onto grickle videos last year, but I never did reply! All I have to say is this is definately one of my two favorites (tie between this one and botched XD) and that if zombies were coming at me, I'd scream just like that too >_>
Perfet music - ravenous - enforces the pace of the scenes very nicely great video there - love your stuff - makes my head go pop with all kinds of thoughts - inspiring - actually i penned down an idea for a short story because of watching this and some of the other videos - thanx man! keep up the good work!
LOL! You did a good job. they hope the stuff they find helps keep the door closed. but the zombies tried the window & the little guy screams like a little girl. i like how the sound is made when the record skips. Good work.
I really don't get why people think this is so funny. You did a great job and its very insightful. Its also very sad, but it has a wonderful message. Music is awesome. Hopefully the future won't turn out like that.
the lesson is to maintain the strings of your instrument to a high standard. And also that combining banjos with wind organ-based instruments results in a pleasant sound. very enjoyable
I was just thinking how sweet it was that music is healing the world when I realized that they were luring them into a blast furnace, the very thing that brought the world to where it was, death loving zombies, how ironic. Well done
I can't believe that Grickle first started banging out his crazy-mad wicked awesome animated short films 14 years ago, and I only just found out about it this month... KEEP UP THE FEROCIOUSLY GOOD WORK!!!!! P.S. If you have any plans for a feature-length animated film, WE WANNA SEE IT!!!!!

I came here after 8 years and I still find grickle animations and music beautiful short films.
I was so glad at first when I though it was going to end well... then I remembered it's a Grickle animation. However, pretty cool short film.
Great concept, loved it.

How! I remember when I saw this the first time! It's still so good as I remember. A timeless great animation for sure.
03.54 min de grande cine. Una de esas joyas que podria no cansarme de ver. Absolutamente comico y emocionante. Gracias Mr. Annable.
Been watching these for a while, and I bought "The Book of Grickle"... And I still need more!
only now did I realize that if someone had played a note at the start of the zombie outbreak, the apocalypse wouldn't have happened
Even for limited animation, just masterfully executed. The last moments of the duet were to die for (literally). Definitely the highlight of the day.
Thanks for this!

This is such a lovely short yet telling tale! You should get an award for its simplicity and plot ;-)
I love the subtle jokes in your drawings.

I watched Ravenous yesterday and it reminded me of this cartoon :D
Man, the music on the background reminded me a little bit of "Papers please"
I have been SEARCHING for this! I was 9 when I first watched this and now I’m 24, man does time fly.
i love how the small guy tries to save his ass by playing solo flute in the end :D

This is the video that made me subscribe to Grickle. Can't believe it's already 9 years.
I loved that! You did great with the cute ideas of the whole being broken open, and the window. Also, very good ending.
THIS comic is 1 of your best yet. i even recommended it to my friends. LOL!
If it already hasn't, this film should win an award. Bravo!!
The very first I've seen many years ago. One of the best.
Spent so long trying to find his videos again so glad I did
This is both a profound and humorous piece. Beautiful. Kudos to its creator and all involved. I suggest this be played next to Pink's "Dear Mr. President."
Loved it! Awesome design of characters. Great emotion shown through the animation. Great story that was as interesting as it was funny. Great job!!!
I love it, saw the guitarstring coming though, haha, but the opening of the window by the zombie cracked me up!
Great!
Love the expressive eyes of the two musicians.
