It looks like when you're navigating with the built in map system you don't get a map displayed in front of the driver, only the next direction. Is that correct?
Shame if so, I drove a polestar 2 recently that put a full map in the driver's display and it was really helpful for navigating unfamiliar places.

The navigation on the drivers display is only the next instruction unfortunately. I am pretty sure this is the case for most Hondas.
The polestar implementation is great and I hope more car brands will adopt this.

Is it possible to use google maps with apple carplay or even without and show the directions on the front screen as it does with the standard navigation system?

Hey, thanks for watching. I didn't test with Google Maps but the directions do show up on the screen directly in-front of the driver when using Apple Maps.
