    You should add a sand sifting starfish. They're great because they turn the sand over burying the cyno and they stay small.

    My sicce sincra silent pump has been running perfectly in my saltwater nano for 1 year straight, cleaned it once, no issues, super quiet, and good price for the base model pump, the Bluetooth pumps with extra features do get pricey, but are luxury products, and the pumps on their own work perfect! 👌

    • @metsdynastyx
      @metsdynastyx 5 месяцев назад +1

      Hi @jakeDogg-RIP if you want to prolong life of the pump, you can give it a bath in citric acid. Also Sicce makes a pump cleaner have a feeling it’s more expensive than citric acid but if you run it in a bucket of freshwater and either option it cleans up nicely. You can run it for around an hour. In a pinch you can use white distilled vinegar but some say it can mess with the pump. But any of these options will do a good job decalcifying and cleaning.

This is how I would want my saltwater tank to be, I love the macro algae all around the rocks and the normal daylight bulbs instead of those blue coral lights. To me this reminds of nature more then the standard reef tank and if I ever set up a salty tank I'll do something similar to this! beautiful tank joey!

    Hi Joey - it’s a beautiful tank. That’s a large spike in bioload adding them all at one time. Also you should try to get a rodi system. Please keep an eye on nitrate and if you have it check ammonia too. I know they told you that these are all peaceful fish but I’d just note that damsels and dottybacks can be aggressive and territorial. So just keep an eye out for that as well. It looks like you may have added Anthias. Keep in mind they need to be fed several times a day. Also I know you said you want a copperband, but they are very tough fish to keep. You may want to wait a while and make sure this group settles in before you add it. Also you may want to get a microscope and confirm that’s cyano and not the dreaded Dinos. If either you want to stay on top of it and Syphon out as you see it. Best advice I’d share is research, research, research. Good luck mate!

      I would say to cultivate a healthy amount of Copepods like the Tiggers... I would suggest adding some type of Refugium. But as you are making this a bit of a "Planted" aquarium then this should help some. I would have added the Coppies at night though and also double or tripled the population introduced personally.
      Damsels are NOTORIOUS for being territorial but, this is Joey and he does things his way.. which is kinda the point. 1st rule in aquarium keeping. What works for one person doesn't necessarily work for the next!
