Actually I thought about making it when I made this one! But the problem is that i think "the laser blade" wouldn't be very nice out of cardboard. But maybe I'll give it a try in another tutorial, I'll think about it ;)
Well I would have had made it entirely from foam and plastic if I wanted to make a perfect replica! But it's not the idea here as the challenge was to make it entirely from cardboard and paper 😉

Been binge watching all your videos. If you have time can you maby think of making the Facehugger from Aliens. I think it would be on topic because you already made a Xenomorph head. Or if the facehugger is too difficult maby make an alien embrio (chestburster) or the alien eggs from which the facehuggers comes out of. Im just really obsessed with Aliens.🤣

Haha thanks! Well that's not just a simple effect that you can do in 2 minutes..., I use a rush of the lightsaber with a green background that I was able to incrust in Premiere pro and then I tracked it with my movement. The whole thing took me several hours ... 😅

Painting them would make all the imperfections much more visible, and they would end up looking like crafts made by a young child lol to a certain extent... besides If I wanted to paint them to make perfect replicas, I would simply use different materials like EVA foam, resin, plastic or even wood, the result would be a way better and the work easier too. but of course it wouldn't be aligned with the topic of this channel which is making props using cardboard only! :)
@@iluvblqck40 I know, that happens a lot with that type of constructions. Unless you put huge amount of efforts into the paint job like by applying a filler first, sending it and so on, painting these is not worth it in my opinion.

You can use both, but wood glue is the one that allows to do everything. I started to use hot glue (after Mjolnir) to glue specific parts faster! Because I have to work fast to publish these tutorial regularly, and wood glue can be quite long too dry... On the other hand you couldn't do everything with hot glue because some parts of these build require times to work on them while they are drying!

I won't color them because Cardboard is not a good material when it comes to that part unfortunately. Painting them would make all the imperfections visible, as would be a child craft to a certain extent... If I wanted to paint them I would use different materials like EVA foam, resin, plastic or even wood, but it wouldn't aligned with the topic of this channel which is making movie props using cardboard only! :)

Is it better to use hot glue or wood glue? I saw your mjolnir video and u used wood glue. What should I use?
You can use both, but wood glue is the one that allows to do everything. I started to use hot glue (after Mjolnir) to glue specific parts faster! Because I have to work fast to publish these tutorial regularly, and wood glue can be quite long too dry... On the other hand you couldn't do everything with hot glue because some parts of these build require times to work on them while they are drying!

Sorry Glenda B, but that small cost allows me to make new ones every month! they are a lot of work ... and they are really time consuming. So I can't make them free, but I sell them pretty cheaply though, 1.99 dollars is not a lot. Especially if you take into account the 2 weeks I spent working on this one! ;)
