I just watched you make a xenomorph head & now the predator helmet completely out of cardboard & I am still awestruck at their turnout. You, my friend, are absolutely incredible, especially when you make it look so effortless. Bravo sir, bravo.
You can do it ! It's just card board and covered in paper mache. We used to do this when we were in elementary school. You just need to get in touch with your inner child. LOL
Hey i was wondering i only have .3 cm thick cardboard would this still work? And for the cardboard paper you applied at the end i only have brown so could i use gray paint or food coloring in the wood glue water mixture
3cm thick is really thick lol I think you could flatten it strongly and give it a try! It should work to an extant. About the painting you can use it but on cardboard it's tricky, you'll have to pay attention not to flood it, otherwise the cardboard flaws will appear strongly... to make it work, you have to make several thin layers of painting, like 3 or 4 even more. That way you should have pretty cool result ;)
So glad to hear it Terry! is there a step in this tutorial that seems a little bit difficult for you? Difficult to know for me as I've made a many of them lol
You can if you want to of course, but I don't recommend it because cardboard is not a good material when it comes to that part unfortunately, like at all... What point does the cardboard paper with woodglue and water serve? Also how would you recommend making cardboard creations super hard and/or reinforced like wood
Well to the point that you can see in the video, I would say. In the video you see how it looks before I do the cardboard paper and wood glue. If you don't make it, it will stay like that... Which is not a problem, it's your choice. ;) And to make it very hard, almost like a piece of wood, the best way is to apply a layer of mix of wood glue and water on every pieces of cardboard. That way your build will end up to be very hard.
Thank you for this and also im a little confused because I applied the woodglue water mixture on a strip of cardboard and nothing happened is there a special way to apply the cardboard woodglue mixture?
@@Nicx2094 Actually to make it right, the best way is to apply one layer made with an equal mix of wood glue and water (this mixture will go easier inside the cardboard and it will harden it from the inside) and then a second layer with twice as much wood glue as water. Let some time to dry between the two layers. And if you does that on every pieces, your craft will be pretty hard to a certain extent. It won't be hard like a piece of wood though, it's still cardboard lol! But it will be hard enough to use it as a mask for an event for instance.
Hi im back again ive tried this and it didn’t work for what i desired (it is a handle to an axe) i have 4 long slivers of cardboard 30mm thick and about 3x36 cm long what im trying to make is a sturdy handle that wont bend easily how do i do this. Also for combining cardboard pieces on other things ive just been using pure woodglue and no water mix am I supposed to do this
@@Nicx2094 so you didn't try to mix wood glue with water at all? It's important to make layers with water, because otherwise the glue doesn't enter into it, and the structure won't become harder... So yeah if you didn't do this, it's normal. But even with the glue and water, making a solid handle from cardboard is tricky... What I would do is to opposite the sens of the corrugation of each layers, in order to not create weakness point. For exemple you can make 2 layers of cardboard with the corrugation vertically and put the third one in the middle with the corrugation horizontally, you see what I mean? That's gonna re-enforce the structure a lot. But if the head of the axe is too heavy, it might be not enough. The best solution would be to do it as I did for the Stormbreaker (video on my channel too) mine is almost as hard as a piece of wood. But to do it you'll have to do exactly what I did in this video; roll several pieces up tightly, and interlacing them.

That's a tricky one! Especially from cardboard... If it was me I think I would do it by layering layers of cardboard on top of each other the same way I did to make Terminator skull. But it would be definitely a time consuming one to create.
I will make predator costume for Halloween, and I will use this helmet only a few changes, I will replace the three cardboard peaces with real three little lasers, I will paint the helmet gray, and the dreadlocks (the hair) will be on other helmet, with predator's face, and I will take off this helmet (in the video) and take on, like the real predator.
You: get to the choppa Predator: you idiot *snaps*Everyone in the world ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh why why Also predator: damm it now i cant hunt 50% of humans
You'll find all templates to make this build in my shop in the description box below the video 😉 for the suit, as I haven't made it yet, I don't have templates for it, sorry!
The best one to start is the one you have now, even if it's a phone ;) improving the gears comes later! But if you must know, the one I'm using now is a Sony dslr A6400
If you know what are you doing I think you definitely could! But that tutorial being cardboard focus you'll have to adapt a few steps along the way using proper technics and tools that suit plastic work better.
About 2 weeks at a rate of a few hours per day, but I had to make it from scratch (without templates and without this tutorial of course) so it's not a good evaluation of the time that you'd spent on it if you decide to make it, as you have the templates and this tutorial, it should be much faster for you. ;)
I get most of my cardboard and paper by saving them from my monthly deliveries to be honest (the thin ones too), and it's not that much actually. But if you don't have enough deliveries, you still can ask to your local store! Usually they are more than happy to have someone that want to get rid of their cardboard boxes for them 😉
Hola, como estas.... Exelente la mascara. me podrias por favor pasarme el link con las medidas para poder hacerla... Desde Argentina te felicito. Muchas gracias
Well that's not a mask, that's a replica so it's not made to be wearable in the first place Casiouz Productions. But I guess you could modify it to do so if you know what you're doing. But as I said it's a replica of the real one so it's really big as predator is a big guy lol so if you want to make it smaller the best way to do that is to print the templates out at a smaller scale like 80% of the original size for instance, depending on the size of your head of course.
hi, im about to give this a go for a halloween party. my problem is that i live in sweden and dont understand that much of what you are discriben. i need to ask, when i print this out how big should it be? it seems so small when i printed it out. whats the measure plz help i need to make this azap
Hey Zain, the templates are in life size , so basically you can make it pretty much the size you want :) if you set your printer to print the templates at 100% (as mentioned in the texte file named "ReadMe" that you downloaded with the templates) you're sure to get the templates at the right size so that you make the same as me. But as I said feel free to print them at a smaller or a higher scale if you want to!
Well what i did is that i placed a paper on the screen and draw on the paper. I don’t know if that’s to big or what. Also the printer didn’t show the temple’s it only showed a shadow of it so it was a bit hard. I wish I could talk to you because my English sucks and I really want to make this costume quick
@@zainsalih3312 oh indeed you won't be able to make it that way Zain, the thing is that I can't explain to you how to print the templates using your specific printer settings because I don't know your printer... but all printers are able to print PDFs at 100% of the scale, and the scale should be a quite simple setting to reach in your printer software. if you don't know how to use these settings in your printer I advise you to look for some tutorials on google about that. I'm sure you'll find plenty that will help you with that a lot! :)
Well that one is not really a mask actually, it's a screen accurate movie prop, so it's big, to fit Predator's head! ... but if you want to make it a mask I think you could if you know what you're doing though. I think you should be able to make it an human size by printing the templates at like 85% of the scale maybe less. :)
It depends on what you mean by normal glue, the white glue I used in this video is a normal glue 🙂 actually as long as it is a type of PVA glue you're good to go!

I made it once out of cardboard.lights in it.plan to make another using a different approach.you can do it yourself.use your own design.watch the movies for helping hints.heres a hint from me,use a fan turn motor to cycle it's turning left and right, usually called a stepper motor.very slow motion.use an inverter to convert DC to AC to power it.what once turned a fan turns your plasma blaster.yeah! trying to help.
I'll probably make it Matthew! Just a matter of time ;)
Thanks John! I trake your advice into account!
Dude! Best crafter ever. ACTUALLY!!!!
Thank you!!
Brotha! Do the predator wrist computer from the first movie. Great work btw!
Any tips on where to start with making a very large grim reaper mask
That's a tricky one! Especially from cardboard... If it was me I think I would do it by layering layers of cardboard on top of each other the same way I did to make Terminator skull. But it would be definitely a time consuming one to create.
@@EpicCardboardProps thank you. I'm going for a giant grim reaper
I will make predator costume for Halloween, and I will use this helmet only a few changes, I will replace the three cardboard peaces with real three little lasers, I will paint the helmet gray, and the dreadlocks (the hair) will be on other helmet, with predator's face, and I will take off this helmet (in the video) and take on, like the real predator.
we can use fevicool to the edge
Yes you can ;)
You: get to the choppa
Predator: you idiot *snaps*Everyone in the world ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh why why
Also predator: damm it now i cant hunt 50% of humans
Can you do a simple samurai mask/menpo?
Thanks for the suggestion Paralaxxx, maybe! I'll think about it
I’m making a mandalorian helmet
Hello, could you give me the measurements to make the helmet and the complete suit of the predator, thank you very much, greetings from Colombia

You'll find all templates to make this build in my shop in the description box below the video 😉 for the suit, as I haven't made it yet, I don't have templates for it, sorry!
I admire your genius and your dexterity.
Hi that's a nice compliment! Thank you, I do appreciate it.
Wow this guy will surprise you more in each video
That's a nice compliment Johan, thanks! Will you give it a try?
@@EpicCardboardProps maybe
You print this template 3A size paper ya 4A size
Both will work it doesn't matter, what matters is to print them at 100% of the scale ;)
Wow amazing creativity. Just finished watching your xenomorph head and now a predator mask. Ultimately talented.
That's nice thank you Alpha Grace!!! 🙂
Hey, in your opinion which camera is best for youtuber
The best one to start is the one you have now, even if it's a phone ;) improving the gears comes later! But if you must know, the one I'm using now is a Sony dslr A6400
@@EpicCardboardProps thanks for your suggestion
InCROYable!
Thanks!
Hello can you send me the link where you found the helmet pattern? Thank you very much.
Hey Radenko, I didn't find the helmet patterns I created them from scratch myself! You'll find them in the description box bellow this video. ;)
@@EpicCardboardProps i have a desire to try to make one for a daughter and i have a talent for art so i will try thanks a lot.
@@radenkolukac2038 Glad to hear it. Don't hesitate to ask me if you have any questions while you make it! I'm always here to help ;)
Where I can find the centimeters of each cardboard piece please answer!
You'll find all the templates in the description box below this video 😉
AWESOME! I loved this helmet!
Now make bloodhound helmet, pls?
Bloodhound helmet? Do you mean the dog's head? Lol
i wonder if this can be done with Plastic , like i did with my Alien Costume
If you know what are you doing I think you definitely could! But that tutorial being cardboard focus you'll have to adapt a few steps along the way using proper technics and tools that suit plastic work better.
So cool I wanna make one but I can't I'm not that good how long did it take you to get that goo
About 2 weeks at a rate of a few hours per day, but I had to make it from scratch (without templates and without this tutorial of course) so it's not a good evaluation of the time that you'd spent on it if you decide to make it, as you have the templates and this tutorial, it should be much faster for you. ;)
Where do you get your thin pieces of cardboard
I get most of my cardboard and paper by saving them from my monthly deliveries to be honest (the thin ones too), and it's not that much actually. But if you don't have enough deliveries, you still can ask to your local store! Usually they are more than happy to have someone that want to get rid of their cardboard boxes for them 😉
Epic Cardboard Props ok thanks I also built the cardboard spaceshuttle
@@baseballninjawarzone8324 Awesome! 👍👊
Hola, como estas.... Exelente la mascara. me podrias por favor pasarme el link con las medidas para poder hacerla... Desde Argentina te felicito. Muchas gracias
You'll find all templates to make this build in the description box below the video 😉
Could you make one for me, and how much you charge?
How do i make it fit my head..the size i mean..how do i know before i start cutting out the pieces??????
Well that's not a mask, that's a replica so it's not made to be wearable in the first place Casiouz Productions. But I guess you could modify it to do so if you know what you're doing. But as I said it's a replica of the real one so it's really big as predator is a big guy lol so if you want to make it smaller the best way to do that is to print the templates out at a smaller scale like 80% of the original size for instance, depending on the size of your head of course.
Can i use pencil clay?
But to do what?
Hi my kid found this and wants to make it but Im wondering if you have a simpler mask that we could try first?
Glad to hear it T M! But unfortunately I haven't made many simple builds and especially with masks. This one is to me the easiest one I made so far.
Thanks for replying, I guess we will try this, it looks like a great project!
@@5ouly_Wiz Glad to hear it! Don't hesitate to ask me you have any questions while you work on it, I'm always there to help!
hi, im about to give this a go for a halloween party. my problem is that i live in sweden and dont understand that much of what you are discriben. i need to ask, when i print this out how big should it be? it seems so small when i printed it out. whats the measure plz help i need to make this azap
Looks good. Adding the dreads even though they are not part of the helmet does make it more stylish.
Haha thanks! Indeed at first I wasn't sure it was a good Idea, but as I wanted to give the filling of a full head, I ended up adding the dreads anyway
What about head size how do you measure it?
Well that one is not really a mask actually, it's a screen accurate movie prop, so it's big, to fit Predator's head! ... but if you want to make it a mask I think you could if you know what you're doing though. I think you should be able to make it an human size by printing the templates at like 85% of the scale maybe less. :)
@@EpicCardboardProps ok thx love from denmark
@@themac4953 You're welcome!
Amazing Craftsmanship 👍🏻👍👍🏽

My good man you have the skill of Da Vinci himself if DaVinci made cardboard replicas
Haha thank you Star Dew!
Good video man 👍😉
Glad you enjoyed Hulk Banner!
When you have learned how to enslave humanity through cardboard sorcery. Love this dude!
i wanna do this
Wow, that’s super awesome! Is it possible to wear it?
I made that one as a display replica, but you could easily make it wearable indeed :)
Is it OK to use normal glue??
It depends on what you mean by normal glue, the white glue I used in this video is a normal glue 🙂 actually as long as it is a type of PVA glue you're good to go!
Awesome mask
Thanks!
Skeleton knight in another world is an anime and I am trying to make the knight armor the main character uses but I need some help. I'll keep working on it though looking up stuff to help me make it.
