Also it was a very time consuming way... the new design is way faster to achieve, they remain very flexible like the real dreads and they look more like the real ones too. The only downside is that. they are a bit more fragile.
Well, "2 boxes" very vague, lol. Obviously, it depends on their size and type. But this build requires quite a lot of cardboard, so if they aren't very big, it probably won't be enough.

I bought mine from Amazon while ago, but it seems like they're not selling it anymore. Juste use regular paint instead then, It won't make much of a difference anyway! The pink varnish I got is actually acting pretty much like regular paint.
If the structure is assembled the right way, there is no need to harden the cardboard Anes :) Cardboard by itself it way hard enough to make pretty much anything.
Hey epic cardboard props do you need double wall and single wall cardboard for both of the predator masks and arm blades Edit: or you can you only use the single wall corrugated for small parts of the masks sand wrist blades
Hey, If you see those types of cardboard mentioned in the list of materials in the description of my tutorial videos, it means you need them for the builds. That being said, you always have the option of making your cardboard thicker by layering more cardboard or making it thinner by flattening it. This way, you can achieve the required thickness mentioned on the templates.
wow this by far is one of the coolest ones i've ever seen and i think that for your next projects you should try making the entire alien suit from alien vs predator movie and make the alien mask with that retractable moth piece like in the movie

Yes it does! You can see me wearing both at the beginning of that video btw. For it to work though you have to pay attention to make both at the same scale. If you decide to print the helmet templates at 90% and the face mask at 105% It's not going to work of course haha

Well you could do it in many different ways. The way I did it was by adding a small piece of cardboard in a reversed u shape underneath the helmet on the top, that comes to hang on the crest of the mask. Very simple 🙂

Absolutely incredible!!! I am actually going to get your Bobba fett template shortly but I am currently waiting to fully heal from. Surgery. I was wondering, this isn’t a predator idea but in a great Star Wars show called the clone wars, there is a super cool mandalorian called pre vizsla. He has a similar helmet to boba fett with some cool antennae on the sides. If you would be willing to make this helmet, I would absolutely buy the templates! Also thanks so much for inspiration I’ve been trying to figure out how to make armour but cardboard was never an option until I saw these videos!

How long do you you soak the rolls in the glue/water? . Does it have to soak all the way through?
Just a few seconds, like 5 or 10 maybe a bit more for the thicker ones, the deeper the mixture goes the better, indeed! :)
