My fav part of this video is the thing that’s been evident in every Dak part: a passion for the art of combining skill, artistic connection of spot and trick and a timeless dedication to a style that somehow matches his every movement. Some call this art, I call it passion translated into a true expression of classic BMX. Dak is truly one of the greatest.

The tooth hanger 180 to backwards wallride was completely unexpected, and a game changer.
I love that, at the point where the music would usually get harder/faster, the music gets slower and more controlled. The whole presentation is just masterful.

1966!! Couldn’t stop watching. Paused once to let the dog out. To have the breakdown on Dak’s epic street art was the only thing it needed. Down to the story of Dak’s side-piece living under the church he shredded. It was all beautiful. Thank you guys for what you’ve done and will do for BMX!

The bump to pegs to bump tooth hang over on the “flat” rail was so simple but so stylish at the same time, I just loved it, it was 100% my favorite clip of the whole part. Love watching you ride Dak, keep the great work !

Dakota Roche has been one of the most known bikers for over a decade. His pure love for bmx has taken him to limits never expected. His heart and drive doesn’t go unnoticed. Vans for 13 years and 11 shoes is such an accomplishment and reward. Dak also really represents Vans the Van Doren way at the same time creating his own style and using his artistic abilities to add his own art to his signature Vans apparel/shoes. Bmx salutes you! My two favorite clips were the quick wall ride to crank arm, spot usage on point! Other favorite was the 360 roof drop to roof drop. In true Dak fashion looked at spots like no other and with the help of Calvin, created a masterpiece

I usually don’t watch these on RUclips because I don’t have the time to consume it at regular speed, usually listen to it at 2x speed on Apple Podcasts but this is one I had to hold out for. Dak continues to refine and redefine his riding, and there is so much nuance so the impact of a part coalesces over several viewings. I love how considered all his decisions are when it comes to his body of work. Definitely an icon of modern BMX

First I’d like to say Dak is my absolute favorite ride. He is so humble and so connected with the world of bmx it makes me love riding my bike more and more. My favorite point of this video is not a trick or line but the video as a whole. I love how the music plays to the landings and how it makes you feel soothed and clean. I love that dak shows such dedication to riding in every part he puts out. The way he utilizes spots and shows that he’s put in the effort over these years to perfect the control that he has of his bike. I love that the b-role footage fits to the music and also to the style he has. I love that you can watch these videos over and over and lose your mind at the shit he puts out. I love how involved he is on the process.

I really appreciate Daks attention to detail and love for the sport it really makes him stand out. Gotta say my fave clip in the video was that tooth slider 180 cuz what??? 1966. Even the tweaked tuck 180 ramp over rail at the start or the hop 3 early on ion the second section, pulling the bars through. 1966😮‍💨🎉 As ever Dak is proved to be one of the best street riders ever! Favourite clip is the switch hanger to gap over rail wall ride in Manhattan. It’s one of many tricks/lines that represent low and high. Looks so clean and Dak makes it look easy but it is so gnarly! Plus they are tricks that are classic Dak in my mind - front wheel mastery and big ass wall rides! So sick! Love what you all do and keep it up🤙420 69🤘

1966. The tangents are all part of it. Love the long-length video and chat/info behind the scenes of the clips and what goes into it all to make it come together! Fav part of the low+hi video part is hanger 180 tyre slide. I never knew it was even possible but lord knows if there is a spot which is perfect for that trick then Dak knows the spot for the job. One of my favorite BMX clips growing up happens to be of Dak. I can't remember what video, but Dak was battling this super long ice pick. Long but shallow down-rail. And he was so mad and so close and kept falling. I remember part of me was like " Dude just land it you're so close! " haha... But the other half of me was so stoked to just see the passion and vulnerability that he was expressing through his bike. It wasn't until many years later once my own passion matured that I realized that some tricks most certainly do take hours, if not days or years to learn or complete. But that was very inspiring. Along with a Randy Taylor web video part and an Australian rider (look up Hilltop Hoods - Nosebleed Section for reference) with a sick flatland video on RUclips. Anyways thanks for the podcast!! You guys all rock!! And those hightops are amazing ;-) Thanks Dak!

(1966) such a good pod. One of my favorites you guys have done. Took me a bit to finish it because of life stuff but I always kept coming back because I loved the chemistry and analysis of the tricks and spots. My favorite clip was probably the manny wall ride manny fastplant 180, I feel like that was a great microcosm of the whole video part. Tricky runup that Dak makes look way to easy. Interesting spot with crazy trick selection. A sick line combo. A signature dak wallride. A “cutty” in the words of Dennis type of trick with the fastplant 180. While still going massive since that looked like at least a 5 foot drop. Keep ripping dak and thank you and Calvin for the amazing vid. Also thanks to Dennis and Fudger for making this pod happen!!!

Killer Podcast as always guys but 1966 my favorite thing about Dak's new video part, besides the fact that everything in it crazy, is that despite some of the runouts being super short he always finds a way to stop instead of just crashing into a wall or something. The grind, wallie-hanger on the bike rack is my fave. Peak spot usage. You rule Dak!

1966 yo the second to last clip at the church I thought should’ve been the banger that was wild and he did it hurt. So good. Keep killing it bro you really are the goat of street.

The whole video was a piece of art, from the clips to the title it all just ties together.

Honestly his explanation of how the name of the video came about is really cool! Love the triple meaning for it. The whole video is sick! Can't look away

1966!- Great Video and guest. So many awesome parts, but I keep going back to the one where he fakies to wall ride, then jumps over 180 to the other wall ride. There’s more to it than that, but it was awesome!

1966"thanks man" at the very beginning, I've met Dak even moshed l, the dude is so cool and easy to laugh with he always feels genuine and that tiny piece shows that in my opinion.

Not sure if this counts for the contest but my favorite thing was hearing about the story behind the houston wallie pegs wallie hanger. The jokes about Ryobi and Milwaukee batteries was quality bmx tool humor. Would be very interested in a street tool kit podcast, bring Christian in for that too.

Yeah my favorite trick was the roof manual to wallride to manual 180 footplant off. So smooth and the most Dak trick for me.

Honestly . The entire video is so good . But who doesn’t love a big three down that set . And the editing and filming was amazing . Music was on point . Congrats on 13 years and 11 color-ways .

Definitely gotta say that daks ability to continue to produce unique and progressive videos is absolutely amazing. Standout clip for me was the wallride to switch hanger threader. Honestly the perfect trick for that spot and amazing that is what he saw when seeing that thing. The lean to miss his left peg was too smooth.

1966. Daks the best my bike is pretty much a direct clone of his and has been for some years now. Already ordered the shoes. Love this format love the tangents bring dak back on for other stuff to he’s such a good vibe and fountain of knowledge

1966! The greatest thing about Dak and his riding is simply how much he doesn’t understand how great of a rider he actually is. Dak has been responsible for the evolution of tricks and spots for years and he gives himself zero credit. Dak your riding is amazing don’t change a thing!

1966 My absolute favorite thing about Dak's new video, which you will see in his other videos like Native Land, is the gorgeous cinematography with blended 16mm and HD. The graphics always have a flare of "classic americana" that you will see in the tattoo world. I'm all about seeing Dak throw down a banger and we ALL KNOW he is one of the most amazing riders of this generation, but when I see a new Dak video I know it will be the complete package. The way they weave a story along with incredible music choice, sick graphics, and a whole aesthetic -- All tied together it ends up being pure freaking magic.
Men's size 12 by the way :) I know i edited it to put in the 1966, but I wrote my comment before I finished watching :D
