- According to projections by a prominent multinational bank, 7 of the world's 10 largest economies will be in emerging markets by 2030.
Ranking by GDP in 2030 (PPP):

Egypt is building 20 new, developed cities to accommodate 30 million people. When it comes to PPP, the developing always get overestimated while the developed on the other hand. That's why I always prefer nominal gdp! In nominal term, GDP of Ch will be 36~37T; that of USA will be 28~30T; India's will be 6T; & Indonesia's will be 2~2.5T by 2030.
India's nominal GDP will be 10trillion usd in 2030 and 30 trillion usd in 2040
But ppp must be preferred....bcoz things i can buy 10 dollars in us...i can buy alot of things with same money in my country

Egyptian pound is growing stronger. Egypt’s population is 100 million with median age 24.6 years which will provide manpower. The Economic world is a dynamic place. Years back, when I read the 'BRIC' report from Goldman Sachs, I didn't believe it. Or even before that, the BusinessWorld published "The Rise of India". It completely shattered our conventional mindset. But today both China and India are economic powerhouse. Indonesia, Bangladesh and Vietnam are other bright spots. Not so sure about Turkey or Egypt. Western dominance will be diminished.

Based on UN population estimates for 2030, and these GDP (PPP) estimates then Turkey would be richer per person than Germany and Japan, and Egypt would be richer per person than Japan. I doubtful these countries have the potential to make such a drastic change in the scope of 11 years

If you have one dollar with you, then in the US, let's say that you can buy 2 tomatoes with that one dollar. Then, with that same one dollar in india, you will be able to buy 10 tomatoes. This is because the price of goods and services is less in india as compared to the US. So, you will be able to buy more stuff in india than the US, with the same amount of money. Therefore, simply judging the GDP nominally is not the best way to compare, as it does not take this aforementioned point into account. To account for this difference in price of goods, economists have created GDP (PPP) as a better way to compare the countries. GDP (PPP) simply means "GDP adjusted by purchasing power parity".

Estimating the future can not always be right, economy is based on GDP per capita, so even those countries have high population doesn’t mean the wealth is shared to be population, so it might be making higher output doesn’t mean it has a strong economy or stable.

0:31, if you were looking at China's war fighting capability or readiness, we want to focus on PPP GDP, after all, they tend to make stuff , not import them , and if 2030 China's ppp gdp is really 64 trillion vs 31 trillion for the US, the US would face a country for the first time with a GDP ppp almost twice its size in just 10 years. remember there is also nominal gdp in which the US is ahead and nominal matters as you are not going to pay half as much for a 737 because goods and services is half as expensive in your country as in the US
