Very helpful. I have done a dozen or Blurb books for various occasions and every one has been well received. I get better at them each time I do one. I recently tried the magazine format to use to put a slideshow I did into printed form. A big hit!. Although I use Lightroom for simple books, Bookwright has a lot more flexibility. Thanks Dan!

Is there a record for most comments? I'm back to this one again. I've made a few Blurb books now, still very much an amateur. These tutorials are very helpful.

Hi Dan, I stumbled across this your RUclips channel this weekend. Great stuff. Really different than the rest and I look forward to reviewing past & watching new videos. I’m in the process of making my first photo book, your tips are really helpful. One question, Can I share the book with a family member who is not into photography before it goes to print? Taking your advice to have some check it over I’m in central Canada my sister (a part time editor - story teller) is in the Rockies. She’s an honest brother-sister critic. :) Anyway Thanks again for the videos. Love the Anatomy of of a Project video as well.

Does getting a PDF of a magazine before publishing a magazine make sense? Will it give an idea of how the mag will look when published?

Thanks for the video. How would you place a 5x7 image and have it appear as a 5x7 on the page? Do you just have to very carefully make a photo container or is there a way to tell the program to make a photo container that is the same size as the image you want to place? I’m scanning and cropping images, so a typical image might be 1537x3628 or something odd like that. Thanks for any pointers you can give.

I'm assembling a book using text (stories, articles, poems) interspersed with pictures of acrylic paintings I have painted. All of my texts files are in Google docs. How do I change the docs into RTFs?

03:09 Just a question... As a photographer, why would I make a magazine? A classic book will showcase my images, what would a magazine do for me if I have no interest in writing a feature or a blog?

@@BlurbBooks ah that's actually an excellent idea, I've never heard of that before, in previous days I'd use tear sheets, but a mag would be a more interesting view of what you can do.
(thanks for the reply, for some reason, youtube has become really unreliable about notifications, like it didn't say this comment had a reply... "the new Algorithms are settling in" again, I guess!!)

I have a couple of questions. Most of my images are 12x8 at 300dpi. I am thinking of doing a photobook 8x10 landscape. Will I loose some of the image?
If make a test book and want to go back to it later can I do so?
If I save to a psd can I share that on Facebook to show customers that my be interested?

I'm used to InDesign where you can DoubleClick and get inside the text box in layout mode. Can you do that here? When I do it it opens up a format box.
