39:36 The Golden Freddy was in suit mode, meaning an employee was operating it. The suit was elevated off the ground by a rope, a rope that was tied around the animatronic's neck. The unhinged animatronic movements are the employee's wild thrashing for escape being obstructed by the movement limitations of the suit he is in. You basically witnessed an employee being Hung to death.
Nah bro. I think it's a representation of Michael seeing his brother get bit. Michael is Foxy because of the Foxy mask he was wearing, crying child is Golden Freddy because Squimpus' Golden Freddy is the crying child. The purple rope might be to symbolize that Fredbear was an Afton creation, or because this all happened (Michael becoming an angry bully with his own brother) because of William, as to how he treated Michael in relation to crying child.
@@esdrassousa9730 Since the whole video is tied to "Foxy GO GO GO", I'm willing to bet that that isn't "Foxy representing Michael," but _actual Foxy,_ probably (but not certain to be) possessed, and witnessing _something_ to do with Golden Freddy, though the specifics are unclear.
You know, I never realized that whenever I imagined the "kids in suits" thing my brain always added this filter, like a layer of protection to not actually imagine how fucking horrifying that would actually look. The Foxy tape sure fought past that
Yeah, one thing that's never really touched on in the lore. So many gaps on those suits that, even setting aside maintenance finding the bodies, there's absolutely no way that they would go unnoticed unless there was a dedicated storage point for that purpose.
@@ultmateragnarok8376 I mean it took me until me until fnaf 4 for that to mentally register for me. I was 11 when it hit me like a semi-truck. Anytime somebody said they like fnaf or it was kid friendly, usually a fellow classmate or somebody online I would usually reply with a quote like this “How is a child being led to an hidden location then getting stabbed then after they became a literal child corpse then stuffed inside a animatronic suit kid friendly?”, then proceeded to say something I like the series as well, but you gotta freakin admit it’s messed up.
@@intelligentfool9024 FNaF 4 definitely leaned towards doing that. The minigame cutscenes, the overall design of the Nightmares, and the easter eggs of medical equipment or items symbolizing mourning in the room are all intended to show that perspective. Previous games had the perspective of the night guard, who, sure, has the looming threat of death at the hands of machines and under horrible circumstances over them, but that's nothing new. But a child goes through something different, and understands things differently as well. After all, it's a child's misunderstanding that would lead to the hunt in the first place.
The fact that Matpat uses RUclips in Light Mode scares me more than the video footage. Every time he leaves full screen I find that I go blind for a moment.
Actually I don't think Chica in the beginning of Sound Response Test, mainly in the bathroom with Afton, was haunted yet. I think it was just Afton using the animatronic to lure/corner the child, which then let Afton do what he wanted, before quickly stuffing the kid into Chica, which is when I believe Chica became haunted.
That was my thought also. There are so much kid focused tech in them. That tech could be for entertainment or security or whatever they claim. It could also be used to track kids, to hunt. Horrifying stuff.
These tapes definitely outlined just how extremely dark and disturbing the first few FNAF games are. This helps you appreciate the gore and disturbing nature of children getting stuffed in suits and a yellow bunny getting crunched with metal locks. This is some talent.
yes! When u play the games/listen to gameplay/theories ect.. you can get scared, interested but you lose the real creepiness of it all. With those videos, It helps you have the feeling of horror and disgust that you should feel. It’s more graffic
I guarantee after having a child. Matt's feelings toward William have gone from "You're a sick man, you need help" to "if you were real you'd wish you weren't"
Super random thought but a cool MatPat cameo in the FNAF movie would be him as a parent being interviewed in like a news broadcast about all the murders and missing children and him having a theory about it.
Something I just noticed, when the animatronic is dragging itself through the hallways it seems like it's calling out, and getting a response from another animatronic in the building. You can hear that when it calls there's a faint continuation of the song, seemingly off to the right, which prompts the animatronic to continue to drag itself, before it sees the person filming it
I think the point of the spring lock suit being a process is to show how William got killed because he just sped his way into it without doing everything because of the ghost kids after him.
yeah, I thought it was kinda funny too that around 01:00:44 he couldn’t figure out that it was alluding to someone else dying in the spring lock suit? So William probably knew there was something wrong with them since before his son died
Like a narcissist, he probably thought he would never be caught in one because he thought himself so fantastic. Knowing something is dangerous isn't the same as understanding something is dangerous.
Personally I've always imagined the typical springlock suit as shown here, a 30 minute 2 person ordeal to put on and take off, something you'd spend maybe 8 hours in as a complete shift before taking it off and going home. A springlock failure is basically impossible, especially a full body one, unless you do something absurd like go swimming, you'd probably be fine in the rain, tripping and falling, etc. (Minimum wage workers would just not be willing to use something that had a reputation for causing grevious injury due to little or no operator error, and as far as we know, so far the only examples of spring lock failure occured to William). Springtrap's suit was not a normal spring lock suit though, it was modified by William, who likely played a role in the development of the spring lock suits, to be put on, and taken off quickly. It had far fewer safety features, and was designed to be worn for a few minutes at a time, not a few hours. That's why it failed so easily, and how he was able to put it on so fast. (We know that normally putting on a suit is a 2 person job from the fnaf 4 easter egg of william putting an employe's head on.)
my guess is it also WAS still somewhat safe, considering he wouldn't put his life in jeopardy, but since he rushed to put it on, he didn't put it on properly and aided in its failure
I would agree, except we did see another instance where it failed and that was with Crying Child. At that point, the animatronics weren’t possessed. It was literally a failure of the spinglocks caused partly by movement but clearly more prominently shown to be the moisture of the child’s tears. So they’re definitely super sensitive to moisture.
Another possibility for Afton being in the Chica tape: We never saw him come in. Which means that he was likely just lurking around the women's restroom. It's entirely possible that Chica was actually trying to protect the girl, but was limited in how she could approach that, and couldn't attack Afton while he was in the Spring Bonnie suit, so all she could do is grab her and get her out of there, which didn't work so well because she looks so terrifying. DOUBLE OR Chica has worked up a level of resentment towards living kids who get to go home with their parents, and she was trying to "replace" the girl in some way or force the girl to "take her home". In which case Afton may have been attempting to gain another victim but was interrupted by Chica on accident. Or maybe he was lurking around watching the Animatronics once he realized something was up with them. OR maybe he tampered with their programming to force them to help him against their will. I dig how ambiguous it all is, gives it a real fridge horror element.
I think it could also be the moment when Afton is killing the child who possesses Chika, I think that's why the mask falls and shows the body inside. It's showing you where the girl is
It is brought up in the earlier books that the animatronics recognize William in the suit as another animatronic, so chica here could possibly be either trying to protect the kid from danger she knows is present but isn't aware is standing next to her or is following normal procedure of getting kids out of the building after closing and accidentally exposes the little girl to danger in the process
I think part of what makes it so effective is that even when you know something is coming, you don't know what, and how fast. He always sets you up to expect a different scare than what you actually get which makes it really effective
I’ve always been saying that Freddy had to have been intentionally given enough jaw strength to crush a skull. There’s no way people weren’t aware of the capability
this is very true. MatPat actually did a game theory on this way back when in FNaF 4 when it happened, i remember thinking that was just the scariest thing ever when i saw it
They didn’t intentionally give him the jaw strength to CRUSH A SKULL, they *did* , however, intentionally increase his jaw strength, remember that William and Henry can’t be confirmed to even be the ones who gave fredbear extra hydrolics.
I’m adding that William and Henry thing because back then, fredbears diner was an individual establishment that was only in one place, ran by William and Henry
The marionette 's stretchy arms could be used to subdue most criminals without much violence. Plus we have to consider the fact that we have only seen examples of it failing due to tampering if I am remembering correctly.
@@childesimp3725 Yeah, I don't think that was done by kids... Besides, kids wouldn't want to restrain the puppet... Me'thinks it was an intentional precaution from Purple Guy.
the reason why the puppet said "something was wrong with the suits" is because of how prone the specific spring locks used in the suits were to failing and either nearly killing or actually killing the wearer.
37:27 I find it interesting how MatPat automatically feels the need to say "theory" in his iconic voice in the simplest situations. I wonder what MatPat's daily life is when he mentions that word in front of other people.
He has said before that when that word comes up in, like, professional meetings everyone looks at him expectantly and he feels like he has to say it like that.
47:15 I love how Ash is the one who initiates the conversation about the logistics of how Afton can “easily get inside the spring trap suite,” and then they can follow Matt through out the whole FNAF lore stuff. I feel so warm and fuzzy that Matt has someone that he can joke about FNAF with, not just explain.
1:05:08 You'd be surprised by how many parents bring their children to haunt events. Literally children of all ages, infant to pre-teen. I feel horrid when I see a toddler shuffling through a haunted house with their parents :(
I feel terrible whenever I see kids walk into Spencers with their parents (i work there) but I never even thought about parents taking them to haunted houses
@@atlasthetitan463 For where I'm at as long as you don't visit the back the front is fairly kid safe with backpacks and shirts and even candy by the register, I go with my parents whenever we visit the mall (which isn't often as it's in another town) and never really learned about the back till my late teens..my parents did a good job keeping me either focused on the front or not in the store; I don't really like going towards the back anyways, just there to check out cool shirts
I went to a local haunted house with my s/o and I had never been able to go there before since it’s known for being so scary that grown adults have cried and PEED THEMSELVES. I saw probably 2-3 toddlers there. Not okay. On top of that, my brother was one of the scarers at that same place and someone brought there kid (he didn’t know that and didn’t think anyone would bring a kid) and the kid got so scared they peed themselves and my brother couldn’t even help because he was in full scary makeup. He was (luckily) at the end and was able to discreetly get one of the people who wasn’t in scary makeup to help.
It's not a bad thing? My mom used to take my sister and I when we were younger. Terrified me but my sister loved it. But I also didn't dwell on it long. Now I love that type of stuff.
I just want to say how much I appreciate Battingtons sound design, like I know NOTHING about sound design but all of his stuff from the FNAF tapes to harmony and horror have the most unsettling sounds that I have ever heard and I think that's why his stuff creeps me out so much, not only are the visuals fantastic, but the sounds really being out the uneasiness
Skipping part of the Pirate's Cove looping really kills the feeling of dread you get when ACTUALLY watching it for yourself. The feeling of stress of what could change this loop is done so well, especially on the early loops where it's subtle
Like, yeah... But if they did make it scary like that, it wouldn't be as wide of an age appropriate range that it is. It would stay the same rating I'm sure, but like... Kindergarteners have played the FNAF games. Imagine what would happen if they played it and the games were even scarier, like... This level scary. Absolute anarchy.
The uncanny valley of those childrens pictures, I think its an image "assembled" from the missing persons photos. The picture of their face, and the description of what they were last seen wearing.
I'd still recommend watching the original Squimpus Mcgrimpus series of FNAF VHS tapes, since what they lack in visual presentation; they compensate with narrative and character. The tapes where William Afton speaks in particular are very, VERY good.
@@thechampion2430 Really long story, but basically, a while ago, Battington made a video he wanted to show to the creator of the Walten Files, and he made a terrible prank claiming that "Martin" had died, and Squimpus revoked Battington's permission to show or make anymore FNAF vhs tapes. (Battington has since been allowed to show the tapes, but all tapes made after needed to be original.) While the prank was childish and really immature, Squimpus didn't exactly respond with maturity, which is why people dislike them now. Yeah, complicated stuff
39:56 I am pretty sure the whole thing with Golden Freddy being tied with a purple rope is saying that they are tied to Afton and they can't escape and it leads to their downfall because if we look at it from a lore perspective we dont usually see Golden Freddy get his happy ending like all the other animatronics.
@@nameless.stay.143 Well, it is golden freddy being hanged because battington said that himself. The video got demonitized at some point and he reuploaded (less graphic this time) and he explained why it was demonitized.
I’m not really sure why, but afton always scared me the most (pre-SB era). Something about this bloodied man who is infamous for having no mercy shivered my timbers as a kid
I actually like the SB version the most, mainly because of his design, but yes, when he first got introduced in fnaf3 he was much more a "cold and heartless serial killer" vibe than a powerpuff girls super villain trying to take over the world with magic
@@DIRTkat_ofc but hey, the fandom wanted their macho rabbit man to be a real thing in universe and not a nightmare that a small child had because they don't like matpat's theories for some reason.
foxy's show is the best one, and I love the contrast in matpat's reaction from being like "Now did two children get stufffed in there, or just one" to just pure shock and uncomfort.
I would love to see Matt play a protester outside of the pizza restaurant saying why no one should go in or he is a lawyer doing the same thing in the fnaf movie
Jesus christ. Sometimes, being half blind has its perks. Because oh my god that Foxy tape is just so horrifying I had to take my glasses off so I didn't have to see the contorted faces of dead children. I've known about Scrimpus's and Battington's tapes for a long time, but I have never fully watched Battingtons ones through on my own. Because I know how amazingly horrifying his work is that I literally just can't watch it. I've watched a little bit of Harmony & Horror, a smidge of his FNAF tapes, but I can never get through a whole series of his. Just because it is just true, pure nightmare fuel. And he deserves a massive round of applause for that. I have never had such visceral reactions to analog horror before. And I thought The Walten Files was horrifying.
Yeah, I've watched these tapes a bunch and yet I still get that feeling of uneasiness that I haven't felt since I was a kid walking past a dark doorway. I literally have to constantly look up at my surroundings to make sure that I'm ok, but end up freaking myself out more
Yes 100% I can’t watch any horror outside of gt live where there’s a barrier between the horror and my freek’in eyes. Even the tapes that aren’t gory I cannot handle it, I have to turn it off to eat or I get so nauseous. You’re so right
I still need to see the shining I know a lot about it cause of how iconic it is; but I still haven't seen it and that still baffles me. I'ma go watch it after this why not.
That fact Afton was in sound response check would explain why Chica killed the child. As you know, the animatronics, at least the possessed ones never hurt children, at least not intentionally
Yeah that's what I figured. It didn't surprise me to see afton using the animatronics since we saw it in security breach and sister location. I think when the animatronics stop obeying him is when they have strong souls inside them. Other than that they're still robots. And in these tapes, it's the EARLY fnaf crew so of course afton could control them if he hasn't killed any kids yet (supposedly)
35:33 - I know exactly what he means. Whenever I get an Amber Alert or a flood warning alert, I am immediately on the verge of an anxiety attack. As soon as the sound begins, my chest gets tight and I feel myself starting to hyperventilate, and I have no idea why it affects me so deeply. I get feeling uncomfortable, but being genuinely scared and having such a viceral reaction? I don't know... But yeah, I totally get what he is saying here.
The alerts we have in my country are pretty much limited to a beeping in the TV when something happens, usually it's leaks from some types of plants but it gives me really horrible anxiety as well. I know we also have like, air raid sirens etc and I know what they sound like and it's just terrifying. I've heard tornado warning sirens through material online and even when I know I'm not in danger, it gives me anxiety
yeah always something about it. I genuinely believe that they designed that sound to be unlike anything else and to really grip your attention and make you pay attention. I used to listen to the radio when i was a kid and they would do emergency tests and on low low low volume i would immediately wake up. It triggers your flight or fight, so I'd say they did a good job making the sound.
@@r3ggie25 Yeah they did. The specific frequency and sound pattern is made specifically to immediately gain attention. It’s literally made to trigger your fight or flight so you stop and listen to it.
Fun Fact: In Chica’s Sound Response Video her eardrums were blown out because of how loud the girl was screaming when she killed her in the bathroom stall
The "something wrong with the suits" thing I think is to show how deadly the springlocks were. That brief clip was probably another employee who put on the Spring Bonnie suit and got seriously injured or killed BEFORE the Bite of 83 took place. I think the Puppet used this to show Michael what happened to his father based on the line "the same thing happened to your father."
I really like seeing this side of FNAF. The way it is marketed at kids and I see them reading the books and the parents are completely oblivious to how dark of a story it is, is so strange. I think there was a fan game called return to five nights at freddie's (don't quote me on that) that was in the style of the death mini games, that had a much more realistic depiction of Afton being crushed. Incredible work, Springtrap at the end is so visceral, I love it.
The irony sometimes of Matpat talking about the Security Puppet being a creation that has "no muscle" and is "too thin", probably forgetting that these things are mostly mechanical and at some points may be possessed by a child's soul giving it and ethereal power... Also, children's minds can vary in perspective and thoughts. Like how some kids love when the Chuck E. Cheese mascot costume comes out, while others are terrified of it.
The animatronic at 44:32 looks like an early version or prototype Funtime Freddy. Might I also say that the sound design and overall quality is kickass
"It killed him, but only for a while" gave me major Monty Python vibes for some reason. "Your father got killed in a springlock suit!" "Killed in a springlock suit?!" "...He got better."
At this point I’m waiting for a comedy skit with the characters going through the actual rough parts and tolls of showbiz, like I can perfectly picture Chica doing Coke in some dirty pizzeria bathroom before going on stage
The foxy run run run tape from battington, when watching solo, no reactions from other RUclipsrs. Watching it and giving a genuine, raw and personal reaction, is one of the most nightmare fuel enducing VHS tapes to date imo 😂 The dead children loud noises then silence and eye contact, my goodness, so horrific and amazing!
I was actually the one who wore the Geoffrey the Giraffe costume when I worked at Toys R Us. The eye section was in the throat, so it was really easy to see everyone. Pretty heavy and gotta account for tipping when moving the head around. Was a ton of fun though and I have a lot of fond memories from my time there.
@@tobysinbad Not as much as, say, a Disney suit actor spilling the tea. They have all kinds of contractual obligations and such. TRU? We in fact did have Nerf Gun fights after hours sometimes. They really weren't as tight as Disney lol
Well, except it calls the child Michael, and his brother being the one who was bit. Given these are only fan tapes, that means they could follow ANY theory or lore, and they seem to be following MatPat's own theories, with their own twists. So I think it was Afton, and I think it happened at a different location given these animatronics look different. Timelines and such.
I know that this could be wrong, but the two different coloured buttons on Golden Freddy could be referencing the fact that there’s two spirits in him. Not sure how close the lore is between the Battington tapes and FNAF, but just thought that it was an interesting thought.
54:28 I was playing Final Fantasy while watching this, and just so happened to level up at this exact moment, and just for a second I thought that Afton opened his mouth and screamed to the tune of the Final Fantasy victory music. Just for that second, I was more confused than I ever have been before.
Matpat could be like the detective trying to figure out the secrets of the pizzeria. And in his script, there should be a part where he says “But hey, that’s just a theory”. It could be like in a touching part or whatever. That would make me wanna watch the movie. Edit: Thanks for all the likes! Edit (2024): well would you look at that
I really like how even though this isn’t canon, it adds to how Fazbear Entertainment eventually just discarded the costumes entirely and just painted over the fiberglass shell for the future animatronics
Hey GTLive crew! If you’re looking for more FNAF VHS stuff, then I’d suggest watching the ones made by a channel called MD-PTV. Their stuff is super well done and it has a cool connecting story between all of the different tapes!
1:00:56 Mat, the puppet is just saying "Hey look at this nerd who died because the springlocks weren't working right" and then proceeds to show you just that. That guy is most likely just some random worker, and not anyone of specific importance.
For the fnaf movie, they probably lost one or more directors who backed out after seeing the fan pressure or something else. Reminds me of the horror that was following the Artemis Fowl movie production for like 10 years.
I think giving squimpus mcgrimpus' set of fnaf tapes a watch could be a good video idea. I think the two can tell a pretty complete narrative when watched in sequence. At very least it puts more thoughts on the table when watching either rendition on its own.
As far as I'm aware Barrington isn't remaking Squimpus McGrimpus' tapes anymore so I'd highly recommend that you guys watch the original Fnaf VHS tapes made by Squimpus to complete the story, I think Matpat would find it interesting
i think mat said hes intentionally not going to react to it on the channel because squimpus mcgrimpus announced they were not going to create anymore of their vhs videos. so i assume matpat doesnt want to bring in an influx of viewers expecting squimpus to resume the series.
The two different buttons on Golden Freddy could represent the alleged two souls that reside within him. The shaking animation and then the cessation of it could be a representation of The Vengeful Spirit or the mixture of the two souls in the suit having to coexist together and getting used to each other.
These FNaF VHS videos seem to be based Squimpus's tapes, where Golden Freddy was _just_ the Bite Victim, since BV is the only one to actually have any sort of characterization tied to Golden Freddy/Fredbear.
I love this series but something I wish Battington kept in the Pre-Show video was Foxy looking at a sundial on his wrist to tell the time. It was a "blink and you miss it" type gag but it was so funny and effective that it actually got me to laugh more than once.
Could the Golden/Spring Bonny with Chica actually be the "Tampering with animatronics" bit from the games? Perhaps Chica isn't "haunted" yet in that scene. Perhaps she's been "tampered" with to hunt children.
I’m surprised matpat didn’t notice when the fiberglass animatronic was playing happy birthday, another unseen animatronic was resounding by playing it back in a different tone. They were calling one another
While you guys were talking about how tedious the spring lock suits seem to be, I came up with a much smoother idea. Using just one crank, all the spring locks can be retracted into the suit. Then, the user can cross the arms of the suit over each other, triggering specific spring locks in the back that open the back of the torso and legs in a similar manner to an overcomplicated clothes pin. This makes it much easier for the wearer to slip inside. To close the back, they then need to simply uncross the arms. This would also make it much easier to get back out once the wearer is inside. Cross the arms far enough to make the back spring open, then step out and reverse the process.
49:06 honestly, that may be why the spring lock suit *did* fail on him. Because he was so rushed that he wasn't able to set-up everything accordingly and safely
Yes! I think the asymmetry and imbalance of all the characters (Freddy's differing fangs, Bonnie's extremely long ears, Chica's unusual face shape with the off center bow, etc) really puts them in this uncanny valley that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Yes Matt you and Markiplier deserve at least a small cameo in these movies because these games would not have been as successful as they were if yall had not given it the popularity that yall did
It really is a shame how the convoluted lore and weirdness has watered down how effective the story of the first six games was (or at least the first 3 or 4)
While I 100% agree that the complexity of putting on a suit is hilarious when talking about William Afton, I think that if this is the way Scott intended for the suits to be, then it would put William's situation into perspective, almost. I imagine in his haste he put the spring bonnie suit on incorrectly and that could be a reason why it malfunctioned. IDK just a thought lol
@@Maxicality I believe that is the point. If I recall correctly, the game made a point of saying that if the suits get wet "springlock failures" can occur. In the minigame it shows him running get spooked and more running into the room where there was both the suit and a leak of some sort. While I didn't notice anything about the leak part of it I do think it was probably pointing to the fact its sort of complex to put on so if someone was in a rush (like not checking the springlocks were locked) then it is totally feasible this could happen to them.
When it comes to his stance on the marionette, I think he forgets how strong yet wiggly rope is. The way I've seen it (especially this vers with the arms growing) is that he moves slowly and quietly, but when they see an intruder they'll sneak and capture them. Wrapping them up with their limbs and rendering the person immobile. Ki//ing wise, I think of a snake, crushing the prey
In theory when Chica is going after the poor little girl, none of the animatronics have been haunted yet, so Afton would have no trouble reprogramming some of the animatronics to do his bidding at this point.
Hearing you talk about how in the vr game they throw out the first 4 games, it reminds me of Danganronpa where V3 took place where it technically discards the previous games and calls them "stories." Which for that game may be true, but the previous ones are of their own universe.
I feel like when i tell people i really like fnaf they think i mean like surface level playing the games and stuff like that (nothing wrong with liking it like that, its how i started out) but this is the stuff i like about it. Diving into the dark themes of the original games is probably my favourite part of fnaf as a whole. I mean it is a horror series after all and these videos are done so well its insane
Oh Matt. You're in for one HECK of a ride today. Also, there won't be any other of these Battington FNaF tapes, unfortunately. The original creator requested that Battington stop remaking their work. Still a good collection of tapes, though
Battington will make more of his own FNAF VHS content. Just not anymore based off of Squimpus's videos. So Battington will have his own FNAF VHS project. ^^

But a child goes through something different, and understands things differently as well. After all, it's a child's misunderstanding that would lead to the hunt in the first place.

Actually I don't think Chica in the beginning of Sound Response Test, mainly in the bathroom with Afton, was haunted yet. I think it was just Afton using the animatronic to lure/corner the child, which then let Afton do what he wanted, before quickly stuffing the kid into Chica, which is when I believe Chica became haunted.
this is my thoughts exactly
I gotta agree, it makes the most sense to me
Wasn't there some disk that Afton made to instill fear in humans and control the other animatronics by proxy?
That was my thought also. There are so much kid focused tech in them. That tech could be for entertainment or security or whatever they claim. It could also be used to track kids, to hunt. Horrifying stuff.
That's plausible, but then why do we see the girl following bonnie bun into the backstage?
These tapes definitely outlined just how extremely dark and disturbing the first few FNAF games are. This helps you appreciate the gore and disturbing nature of children getting stuffed in suits and a yellow bunny getting crunched with metal locks. This is some talent.
Concerning how you used the word "appreciate" and double concerning how I know exactly what you're talking about and feel the same way

True
I’d say either that or a conspiracy theorist
Yes.
Agreed
Definetly
Something I just noticed, when the animatronic is dragging itself through the hallways it seems like it's calling out, and getting a response from another animatronic in the building. You can hear that when it calls there's a faint continuation of the song, seemingly off to the right, which prompts the animatronic to continue to drag itself, before it sees the person filming it
Because magic haunted robots communicate via the birthday song

I think the point of the spring lock suit being a process is to show how William got killed because he just sped his way into it without doing everything because of the ghost kids after him.
yeah, I thought it was kinda funny too that around 01:00:44 he couldn’t figure out that it was alluding to someone else dying in the spring lock suit? So William probably knew there was something wrong with them since before his son died
@@orang3-peelRight?
I mean, the rain seeping into the decaying building may have had something to do with it failing
Plus, the suit was old at that point.
maybe he didnt crank the springs all the way in during his panic to get in as quickly as possible
It's showing you where the girl is
@@Unknown_Geek No, the animatronic is already possessed. Chica's song shows you how her death happens. She's lured into the backroom and killed.
"WHAT? WHY IS CHICA HERE!"
"HOLY, SHES KILLING A CHILD! THAT'S- THAT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN."

MatPat actually did a game theory on this way back when in FNaF 4 when it happened, i remember thinking that was just the scariest thing ever when i saw it
It's so cool how they put thought into that.
I noticed that aswell
They didn’t intentionally give him the jaw strength to CRUSH A SKULL, they *did* , however, intentionally increase his jaw strength, remember that William and Henry can’t be confirmed to even be the ones who gave fredbear extra hydrolics.
I’m adding that William and Henry thing because back then, fredbears diner was an individual establishment that was only in one place, ran by William and Henry
The marionette 's stretchy arms could be used to subdue most criminals without much violence. Plus we have to consider the fact that we have only seen examples of it failing due to tampering if I am remembering correctly.
I think the one time it failed was because the kids put boxes on the marionettes box preventing it from protecting Henry's daughter if I'm not wrong
@@childesimp3725 correct

@@childesimp3725 Yeah, I don't think that was done by kids... Besides, kids wouldn't want to restrain the puppet... Me'thinks it was an intentional precaution from Purple Guy.

I've heard tornado warning sirens through material online and even when I know I'm not in danger, it gives me anxiety
yeah always something about it. I genuinely believe that they designed that sound to be unlike anything else and to really grip your attention and make you pay attention. It triggers your flight or fight, so I'd say they did a good job making the sound.

I'm just saying, who better to put in a bad security system than the man who runs the business with a side hustle of dead kid collecting

Oooor, a reference to nightmare fredbear
ash's "he do be coming back" just completed me
The grain at 38:09 actually makes a silhouette of a person. such cool little details in the series.
"Nameless bite victim, come help your dear old dad into his suite that he murdered all your friends in."
58:18 this scene always make me tear up, battington does such a good job of making you feel exactly what tone he is using.
Someone's gotta let this man take a break on the FNAF content.
He needs more kids show lore, that will stop the FNAF
No, he doesn’t GET BREAKS. He ONLY makes more content at mass for our consumption
I feel like he does this to himself
Capitalism, lol.
No
Good series to show Ollie in my opinion.
💀
teach them young
Good opinion
Read my name guys not a bot 😂
And you thought that the Crying Child was traumatized 🫥
I think Blumhouse should have MatPat as a writing assistant. He'd be great at writing a good plot.
I’m surprised matpat didn’t notice when the fiberglass animatronic was playing happy birthday, another unseen animatronic was resounding by playing it back in a different tone. They were calling one another
Yeah! It felt like they were hunters. I was fully expecting the other animatronic to use the first one's calls to help track the prey
Foxy hits the M really hard in “mucking” but I still hear something different each time
24:00 the creepiest part about Freddy’s teeth is how wildly asymmetrical they are. He has these massive fangs, but only on one side. Very unsettling
Hmm I've never noticed this nice call
Yes! I think the asymmetry and imbalance of all the characters (Freddy's differing fangs, Bonnie's extremely long ears, Chica's unusual face shape with the off center bow, etc) really puts them in this uncanny valley that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Yes Matt you and Markiplier deserve at least a small cameo in these movies because these games would not have been as successful as they were if yall had not given it the popularity that yall did
Theory: I thought "Golden Freddy" was being hanged by the purple neon rope. That's why it was twitching wildly then... stopped.
i saw that long purple "rope" or whatever and thought it was a super tall tophat at frist BAHA
Omg your right
Yeah it's glowing. Surprised that he didn't notice right away.
@@Maxicality I ALSO THOUGHT IT WAS A TALL HAT, I EVEN MADE A DOUG DIMMADOME JOKE
14:55- "Because it's so slow, you don't expect... you don't expect that huge ramp-up at the end...."
NOBODY expects the Fazbear Inquisition!
Our main weapon is surprise. Surprise and fear.
And springlocks
It really is a shame how the convoluted lore and weirdness has watered down how effective the story of the first six games was (or at least the first 3 or 4)
The 1st 3 has a story like i have money
Only technically
While I 100% agree that the complexity of putting on a suit is hilarious when talking about William Afton, I think that if this is the way Scott intended for the suits to be, then it would put William's situation into perspective, almost. I imagine in his haste he put the spring bonnie suit on incorrectly and that could be a reason why it malfunctioned. IDK just a thought lol
thats what i was thinking. maybe he didnt crank it, since he was in such a rush
So the intruders get snatched? 💀💀
24:49 “not a moment before and not a moment later” is the same line that Funtime foxy says
In theory when Chica is going after the poor little girl, none of the animatronics have been haunted yet, so Afton would have no trouble reprogramming some of the animatronics to do his bidding at this point.
Honestly I'm surprised that the movie is still being made and not thrown in the bin
Hearing you talk about how in the vr game they throw out the first 4 games, it reminds me of Danganronpa where V3 took place where it technically discards the previous games and calls them "stories." Which for that game may be true, but the previous ones are of their own universe.
My head canon is that the first two games really happened and then the anime is the fictionalization of it, which continues for 53 seasons.
@@smokey8472 Aaaaah! Ok, I wasn't privy on that situation. It'll be good to see what he has in store!
@@yeolelad888 The internet is indeed crazy
The original creator did request that but later on he said he can continue remaking them but to explore new ideas and storylines for himself
Sad, was Squimpus' last chance to still be relevant
Yes matpat as someone who works with physically and mentally disabled individuals, people actually do point at their crotch when they need the bathroom and can't verbalize.
47:21 After she brought this up, I REALLY understand why all those child spirits were so PISSED !🤣😂🤣
