    Different plants may need absolutely different types and amounts of fertiliser. Slow-growing plants, especially if they are evergreen, hardly need any fertiliser throughout most of the year. They may need normal amounts of nitrogen only once in spring, and then until autumn moderate amounts of phosphorus and potassium. Excessive fertilisation can inhibit root growth and even damage the roots. The plant may begin to turn yellow. So it can be very species-specific.

    I use same fertiliser. So should you fertilise from March to October?

  • @pteddy1
    @pteddy1 Год назад +1

    Are you using the fertilizer by watering with the same suze drink your plants would normally get, or is this "sip" over and above regular watering

    Do you ever add "Iron" to your water?? i have mostly palm & bamboo, but I do have some croton/spider too..Thanks

    Do you use the same fertiliser for plants that grow in just water?

    Is it better to water from the bottom or the top?

    Q-can you use or would you recommend the shake and fed by miracle grow??

      I've not used it myself but if it can be used for indoor plants then I see no problem. Saves time having to continually use water feed

    Is it ok to put fertiliser pellets in the plant? I’ve seen them in the garden centres

    • @SheffieldMadePlants
      @SheffieldMadePlants  2 года назад +4

      Yes that's an option for slowly releasing fertilizer. I prefer liquid fertilizers myself to reduce the risk of fertilizer burn in my houseplants.

    What about the MG plant steaks? I already have some what do you think?

  • @victorb145

    Me I just use marin aquarium salt. It has everything that plant foods have and more. The only thing it doesn't have. Is that radio active looking blue color.
    Why? So you don't get your plant food mixed up with your tablesalt.
    If I were to make that mistake, I suspect the marin aquarium salt would either do nothing, or it might even benefit me. Either way, I'm not gonna eat it intentionally.

    Is it a mistake fertilizing from top?

      @@SheffieldMadePlants oh that was a question, because I see you fertilizing from the bottom. Today was my first time fertilizing plants with a liquid fertilizer, been fertilizing for years with just sticks, but plants gotten way too big and sticks dont be working anymore so im checking up all the vids to see if im doing something wrong :P
