Just bought a used one of these (ki 720 model) and obviously had the blade in wrong. I see that now, thanks to your video. I've searched everywhere looking for someone explaining how to put the blade in these machines to no avail. So I appreciate that you made this.
@@ChynaFox man I have a vinyl cutter that I never opened, just sitting in the closet, I'd like to use transfer paper instead of actual vinyl rolls but I have no clue where to even start. I've searched for videos but no luck
What software does it run off of? Got one from an individual and they didn’t know anything about it and wasn’t sure what type of software it was used with.
A couple thoughts. Make sure the test Cut with a rectangle with a star in it is cutting correctly. You should be able to pull the star out if everything is adjusted properly. If it’s still not cutting the test part correctly maybe try a sharp blade. Whenever we’ve had problems with the tighter cards we slow speed way down. Let me know if these ideas help.
@@livefree6878 I just ordered the same exact cutter off eBay but it did not come with software. Is there a free download for the software or is that something I have to buy?
Mi plotter US cutter MH871 igual a ese no le funciona el cabezal correctamente, no le aplica presión a la cuchilla solo se mueve pero no sube y baja para cortar ayúdenme 🤷 😢
My cutter isn’t cutting the curved edges right. Is it because of the blade or do I have to click something in the software before sending it to the machine ?
Hi, do you resolve that problem? I have almost the same, is not cutting the entire design. I also noticed when I finish to cut, the blade is still down and cut the vinyl 🥺 help
HELP! My MH 871 mk 2 cutter is cutting the desired cuts fine... but it is also slightly cutting , scratching the vinyl, between the desired cuts, as it travels from one shape to another. HOW do i fix that?
not nearly enough explanation...what's an air cut...and why do it?? Need closeups of the pc screen.....watch the video as though you have never seen the cutter and then please edit this.....
He's saying an air cut is where the blade is not down touching the vinyl. You can watch where the cutter is going to cut on your vinyl as a practice run. Once you see that your project is going to cut where you want on the vinyl you can lower the blade and let it actually cut the vinyl. Its just a safe way to be sure of your cut without wasting your vinyl.
That’s a interesting question, I have a 3-D printer that I would consider pretty quiet, but I can hear it when I’m upstairs. This has the same basic stepper motors and movements. I’ve always thought of it as a pretty quiet machine. I think if you had some normal volume music near it, I don’t think it would be detectable through a floor. I hope this answer helps. Let me know if you have any other questions
Don’t buy this one buy a Cricut it’s very quiet you can cut multiple different materials with it it’s easier to use and cheaper to buy the machine, most craft stores has products to use with it from pens to draw with it to different blades that are already set up, more mats if yours becomes not so sticky
Hello, I have this same machine and when I try to cut vinyl it keeps chewing it up making deep holes in the vinyl. I've had it a few months thinking I should change the blade nothing seems to be working, do you have any suggestions?
Check the roller on the far right. When latched, ours caused bunching and grabbing. Unlatching that roller allowed the vinyl to cut and roll freely. Hope that helps - thanks for watching!
Que programa se puede usar q no sea con computadoras viejas osea q no sea windows xp 7 y 8 por que ya las computadoras estan muy modernas y los programas ya no son compatibles
have you tried replacing the strip. make sure theres no dirt or debri on strip. check tool carriage holder. tighten blade holder. trouble shoot gears located on side panels.
We’ve used all kinds of different materials for application tape. Old application tape seems to work really good. My favorite is a piece of clear contact paper. It’s not actually paper it’s more like a sticky vinyl. I tack it off on my clothing to remove some of the tack. The nice thing with the clear sticky plastic is that you can actually see how it’s gonna look before you actually install it. I hope this answers your question, if you have any other questions let me know
I’m not sure if I totally understand the question but let me try to give an answer. In order to output something to the machine you have to use the software that comes with the vinyl cutter. I believe that there is also a driver that is specific to the vinyl cutter as well. Let me know if this answer makes sense.
Wasn’t that bad the painters tape had me laughing. Ole expensive pesky contact paper. And his blade depth was messed up or the blade is dull. But the concept was here.

5:30 The paper comes off much nicer if it's warm. I found that you only get good results above around 62° F

probably like your garbage disposal , but on and off, on and off. Or like an electric hair cutter, or blow dryer.

it hurts to watch this
I feel like most people who work with vinyl regularly were cringing for most of this video
Why??
Wasn’t that bad the painters tape had me laughing. Ole expensive pesky contact paper. And his blade depth was messed up or the blade is dull. But the concept was here.
Dang bro! Can that thing cut your nails? 😄
Hew to mik
Did you talk about how to do it not anything about the color itself. You need to rename your video.
A lot of unnecessary steps
It doesn't tell you how to use the machine.... it mostly tells you how to apply vynl... pointless video
