You guys really need to create more accurate videos about Vikings. Firstly: it's not finished. 6 is the last season on History. That's all. A sequel series for Netflix has been announced and was always going to happen. We were told about it before 6 even wrapped. Travis stayed longer than his contract originally stated. The five episodes he appeared in in season 4b fell outside the terms of his contract, but being the sort of guy he is, he decided to stay for an extra five episodes to allow the transition into the next generation. We knew Travis was leaving at the start of filming season 4, so I'm sure he knew even before.

I clicked on this video only to comment this! ( not watching the viedo) The show was always gonna be about ragnar and his sons. The sons were gonna play a even bigger part than ragnar himself but the writer kept ragnar on for longer than he first intended because of what a great character he was and how the fans loved him. and also there were much to tell about his saga. @@imfc1330 but he is the best part of the show. Should have stretched it out for another two seasons. The sons just aren't as charasmatic as him. Ratings have declined since he left.
For me Vikings REALLY started going downhill when they killed off Siggy. I hated how she was killed off and every form of suffering that happened with Ragnars children started then. Siggy wouldve NEVER allowed Aslaug to neglected her daughter to the point she freaking died, Sigurd wouldn't have resented Ivar or his mother's memory, Ivar wouldve been reigned in, Hvitserk wouldn't be the mess he is, and maybe Ubbe wouldn't have voyaged on his own to the new world, and Bjorn would most likely have been king when the Rus invaded.
At least Travis Fimmel & Ragnar Lothbrok got 4 seasons out of History's VIKINGS lead... Sean Bean didn't even get one full season from his lead as Lord Eddard Stark on HBO's GAME OF THRONES!!!

'The series is trying to the the true story about Ragnar and his sons'
Yeah, they don't, since Ragnar and Lagertha didn't have any children, Ivar is supposed to be the oldest, not the youngest, Sigurd was supposed to be a King (And not die at the hands of Ivar).
I’ve never been more satisfied with a main character dying. He went out in an epic way , the Ragnar lothbrok way 😅 🖤
Because it's a history show, Ragnar dies to Aelle, he left because his character is dead. what is this lol
its not completly history based like rollo was not his brother and not ragnar faked his death it was bjorn and many other facts..
I have been thinking about investing time in watching all of the seasons , and I haven’t seen a single episode yet.
Should I watch it?
Yeah, it's amazing. I just love the characters and the vibe.
IVAR was the only reading I kept watching Vikings after Ragnars death, but season 5 and 6 aren’t bad either, but nothing topped season 4 IMO
I understand his death was necessary, but the show wasn't the same after his departure...
Never watched an episode after that.
I tried but it never worked.
The Show gets even better after that !
@@x32i77 lmao gets worse you mean
Norway not Denmark.
Have you seem the mountains and fjords they systematically display.
Denmark might have a couple of fjords, litterally. No Mountains.
Patrick Gjertsen Danich King= fact
@@jenshansen3785 okay disregarding my first argument. how about them talking about Norway? The king of Norway :P?
Long live Ragnar Lothbrook!
Travis played this character with good complexity not just anger and lust.
I literally and genuinely think you are the first channel on RUclips I've ever watched that actually said venomous snakes instead of poisonous I can't believe somebody actually use the correct term snakes are not poisonous they are venomous
🤫🤫🤫
You are a stickler for the facts sir.
After Ragnar died Ivar totally carried the show
I really liked Bjorn as well!
Ragnar is the whole reason I'm a massive Vikings fan (History aswell as the show) and the main reason I travelled around Norway 🇳🇴 and Denmark 🇩🇰 so thankyou Ragnar and I hope to see you in Valhalla 👊🏾
I stopped watching it after he died. So boring withought him
If you stopped watching after his absence, then how do you know Vikings is boring? Don't answer that. You don't know.
Soo true man
you really are missing a lot
@@troybabs I forgot about the people who take things in an extremely literal way. I watched 3 episodes after his death and decided it wasn't for me anymore. I hope that cleared things up for you. Life must be hard if things like this wind you up .
@@nila518 the Show gets EPIC after his death
Ragnar was originally supposed to go out in S01. Then they decided to explore him deeper, and they went on for four seasons. Fun fact, Fimmel actually agreed to be put in a snake pit and he was bit by those snakes. They weren’t venomous, but still.
Yah
Travis Fimmel's hands on acting in vikings,he would touch everyone, asserted the alpha male with hidden empathy and truth to things made the Ragnar character for me.
Am I the only one who noticed that Aethelwolf didn't die in first season and wasn't killed by Ragnar
The show is still good. There's still Lagartha, Byurn, Ivar....and others to keep things interesting. Besides Ragnar, my favorite character was Bishop Hagermin
Travis Fimmel was the best actor in the Viking series I really love love him so much and drawn us into the series that the biggest mistake Michael Hirst being such amazing with series like Tudor, why quickly kill Ragnar Character the minute that happened I feel like the show was not going to last. What they did was bring back Rolo and left Floki as well to continue the audience interest. But I agree the show was never the same after Ragnar death..
well i agree it wasnt the same but the sons acting really was interesting especialy ivar, bjorn and ubbe' characters
Its cos his character died, saved you guys 5 mins of your life
The series died with him...
Where can I watch the full video please?
Anyone know why Canadian Netflix only has 4 seasons of Vikings?
Travis is a god.
I clicked on this video only to comment this! ( not watching the viedo)
The show was always gonna be about ragnar and his sons. The sons were gonna play a even bigger part than ragnar himself but the writer kept ragnar on for longer than he first intended because of what a great character he was and how the fans loved him. and also there were much to tell about his saga. I don´t know what this video tells you but this is the reason, He died
If they didn't follow history exactly they should've just kept him kn
He left because his character died lmao.
Ragnar died in the snakepit in history. Thats why Travis Fimmel's Ragnar had to die in season 4
They could have strung it out for another season or 2.
Al mac he was supposed to died in season 1 and the series was supposed to be about his sons
Siggy wouldve NEVER allowed Aslaug to neglected her daughter to the point she freaking died, Sigurd wouldn't have resented Ivar or his mother's memory, Ivar wouldve been reigned in, Hvitserk wouldn't be the mess he is, and maybe Ubbe wouldn't have voyaged on his own to the new world, and Bjorn would most likely have been king when the Rus invaded.
is this show worth watching after Ragnar dies? I tried giving it a chance and I couldn't really get into it but im willing to give it another shot
he is my favorite character in vikings
Travis as Whyatt Earp? I’m in
Thanks for telling us nothing we didn't already know
Best show
I really lost my interest after Ragnar died 😑
It was so messed up seeing Ragnar die like that ... Still a awesome show but never the same ..
When he died I cried alot 😰😰 why him? Whyyyyyyy 😥😥i got so emotional 😭 😥 he was my fav among all ...
At least Travis Fimmel & Ragnar Lothbrok got 4 seasons out of History's VIKINGS lead... Sean Bean didn't even get one full season from his lead as Lord Eddard Stark on HBO's GAME OF THRONES!!!
His death ruined this show, but I’m looking forward to seeing more from him
Unpopular opinion...season 5 was actually the best season
Ragnor, Jax, Walter, Dexter, Jack Sparrow, Wolverine ... To see the actors that played these roles in a different role is weird. I will always see them as that 1 iconic role.
