AB Shop made a screw modification fixture 8-odd months ago (A DIY Secret to Easily Turn Screws On Your Lathe!) that went straight on my to-do list. And there it has remained, un-done... You've reminded me what a useful thing it would be to have in the drawer ready to use! But the list is sooo long! Maybe one for the new year. Cheers Olly.
Mornin' Olly, You're on the home stretch now ..... of course there are the twelve days of Christmas to consider too😅😅. Here's another little story for your kids. Christmas presents are traditionally given here on the 6th of January (the twelfth day), following the procession of the Three Kings on the night of the 5th. Mind you modern Spain is catching up and the Three Kings are now competing neck and neck with Father Christmas, some kids get a visit by all four of them, but it's back to school for them on the 7th!! I thought you were going to put a flat on the the holder, but I liked this solution and it gave us all a lot of fun, well done!! Look forward to opening the next window tomorrow. All the best!!
Maybe next year I'll just do the 12 days! Sounds a whole lot easier! I'm not sure my children would take kindly to being told they had to wait for their presents 😬
@@ollysworkshop Yes good idea, gives you the opportunity to do the 28th, which is in Spain their April Fools day, "el dia de los inocentes". That's why Father Christmas is gaining traction!!
nice one olly great tip

Hi Olly. What a great tip 👏👏 Your fixture was inspired and worked really well. Making is indeed more fun than buying. 👍😀
Thanks Andrew

Trouble is, you need one for each thread size!
Hello Olly,
That seemed to do the job well...
Cheers.
