    Ted and Tommy rock better than they did in the 70's when I saw Styx and Ted live. Different concerts of course, but they seem even better now. I am 64 and have been playing guitar since I was 12 so I can relate to playing with more passion now. You appreciate it so much more.

You can tell he loved being a Damn Yankee. These ol rockers from the 70s and 80s don't retire. Why? Cause they're THAT dam.n good. They know it and we sure as hel.l sure do as well. Bless all of em!

      What happened between Ted and Tommy?

    • @jeffjohnson3260
      @jeffjohnson3260 2 года назад

      @@r.g.armstrong2688 Ted & Tommy were fine. I had seen an interview with Tommy where he was talking about why he stepped away from Styx in the 80's. Dennis was writing songs that were more Broadway/Rock Opera type songs, and Tommy didn't want to go in that direction. Tommy said he wanted to play rock. In a DY concert, I saw a show where Ted started playing Mr. Roboto, needling Tommy. Tommy replied to Ted that something was wrong with his guitar.

      Chill Will Me thinks a liberal is interjecting politics into the realm of music appreciation. To say Jack and Tommy were the "real" talent and that Ted sucked is moronic. If you listen to ANY interview by ANY of the members, it was an amalgamation of creativity between them all. No ego, no "im the bigger rockstar". They had fun. They "clicked" and it didnt matter who was who. Michael Cartelone was just a smidge above "nobody" status at that time (in Tommy Shaws solo band) and even says he was always treated as an equal and had as much input as he could manage.
