  • Adoniram and Ann Judson were America’s first missionaries to another country when they traveled to India. Ultimately, they sailed to Burma and studied the language so they could share the gospel with the Burmese, but no one believed. So, they built a small hut on the side of a busy road and told all kinds of people about the truth of Jesus, leading many people to believe. After Ann’s death, Adoniram continued translating the Bible into Burmese, a project that took more than 25 years to complete. By the time he died, there were 7,000 Christians in Burma.

Sadly this has continued to happen in India, China, Africa, and it's knocking on the American door.
