I find it so cute that we all look like that tiny little lamb in front of God which always wanna do naughty things, jumping here and there, and Jesus (here, David) being the shepherd who sacrifices his life to the save the life of the lamb. Truly marvellous and eternal love of God ❤❤

This is just incredible. As an artist and an aspiring animator, it’s been a dream of mine to see my all-time favorite character, David, be shown with the quality he deserves for an animated movie. His story is so unique with relationships and internal conflict feeling real. David himself is an interesting character. He’s not only a warrior but a musician as well who would recognize the depth of emotion in humanity and the wars men must fight. He’s all kinds of things: warrior, poet, harpist, king, shepherd, outlaw, prophet, father, servant, friend, etc. I can’t stop myself from returning to this demo and admire everything about it. I’ve been so fond of Disney as I had grew up with their animations and other animations like it from different companies such as Pixar and Dreamworks. My dream is to work for Disney but also see a David animated movie in the works. I have always loved, I mean LOVED, the Prince of Egypt, everything about it is outstanding!!!!!! I wish there were more Bible movies like the Prince of Egypt, but the David movie looks promising!!! And I’m totally all in for this. My obsession with David’s story since I was 11 has made me extremely eager to see a David animated movie like this! It’s a childhood dream, I swear, to watch David’s story unfold in quality animation like Disney. I couldn’t get past the few seconds of watching the demo without crying lol.
I looked at all the concept art of this movie and I’ve never been so excited!!! I’m 16 but by the time the movie releases I would be in college studying animation. This is truly something to look forward to and I’m in all support of this! If the production goes well and able to be released, it’ll probably be the greatest Christmas/birthday gift (heard it would come out either in the summer of 2024 or at the beginning of 2025) for me as I settle down for college haha ;”)
Animation, especially a movie, takes a while to make and I totally understand that and I’m willing to wait! Thank you for your dedication and desire to make this movie happen

If this hasn't been picked up and put into production yet I am shocked! This is AMAZING! Just in that short clip I was already connected to David and Tali the sheep. Just following David's adventures would provide multiple movies, but if you follow his lineage it just keeps getting better. This is the movies that should be made for our children. Great writing, Great animation! I can't wait to see the release date soon because I'll be taking every member of my family to it!

Our goal is to release the movie in 2025 and we are on track to achieve this goal, provided our investment targets are met. Although animated features typically take 4-7 years to produce the good news is that we are far down the road having, spent $19.6m in production already. Animation has similarities to fruit farming!! With an apple orchard, you need to water and fertilize for 5 years, but then you can harvest fruit for 20 years. Animations take a lot of time and energy to bring to life but done right they can bear fruit for decades.
This animation is inspiring. I really hope this project comes to full fruition. And I hope it opens the way for other Biblical stories to be shared in similar quality.

I'm hooked! The more I know about David, the more I want to know about David. I used to be self-conscious(absorbed) in church. I thought expressive worshippers were attention seekers. Once I learned David was an expressive worshipper, my judgement ceased. I joined the expressive worshippers, and have never looked back! It is great how you show so many of his positive traits in this small clip. I also enjoy the kind of call back to the painting of Jesus hanging off a cliff for a sheep. He leaves the 99! Thank you, and praise the Lord!!
I pray for this project constantly. It is simply beautiful. I am studying to become an animator, and hope that when I have a proper portfolio I can help for the animation of this movie ❤️

My grandson watches this over and over and always says "again" when it ends (he's 2 1/2). The detail is just incredible, such as the embroidered capital design at the base of David's neck opening from the discovered capital at David's palace in the City of David. I can't wait to see this movie along with my grandkids.

This is so beautiful. I had tears in my eyes the entire time. The Good Shepherd fearlessly laying down His life for the sheep, how he fell on the rock with outstretched arms (like Jesus on the cross)... As a mom could relate with the "mommy sheep" fearful for her young one but knowing that the Good Shepherd would save her. Keep up the good work guys! Can't wait to see the movie.

I'm Hebrew, and as a Hebrew I say that this Demo is not bad, Obviously, King David himself was more than that, etc., etc.
But like as a children's film, a family film, I really, really loved it! , and the psalm at the end, you did a not bad investigative job at all, applause!

Wow! Incredible animation! I'm 37 and my heart was in my throat not wanting the little lamb to die! I want to see this film! I went to film school. That y'all are doing this film is so encouraging to me! I love him singing in Hebrew near the end of the clip. It definitely illustrates wonderfully the Shepherd's sacrificial heart. I LOVE this!
Everytime i read Psalm, i fell in love with David. I love how David position himself before God. Cause i always failed to see God the way David does. And i realize its hard to stay pure and faithful like David. Its a never ending inner war for me.

Why don't more animated movies have this much color in their scenes? The night sky alone is GORGEOUS!
The average cash-grab always goes for lame photo-realism, when you could always just go for high-quality visuals without muting the color. I think it's a sign of creative bankruptcy. Hollywood hires the most uncreative people sometimes. Thank goodness for independent projects.

This was beautifully made! Seeing all the intent, hard work and love that y'all have put into just these 5 minutes, I know the rest will be beautiful and praise God for the creativity He has inspired in y'all. I know many have already commented about the amazing animation (seriously, shout out to all the artists who put time in to make this feel so authentic and real), but I just can't get enough as David as the good shepherd. He cares for the weak and saves them when they fall. So much like the Messiah we have in Christ. Thank you making this beautiful tribute to His ancestor. I was in my office and fell upon this short film by RUclips recommendation. I watched and enjoyed it. To make a long story short, I decided to watch it together with my three children who are 6, 4, and 2. Oh, boy did I not know how they would react after 5 minutes. They didn't hear I said, “a short film.” Keyword, short 😊 They were expecting a full movie so when it ended after 5 minutes, they all got mad and started crying 😡 They, we can't wait for the full movie. When is it expected to premiere?

I could just imagine it, seeing this movie as a young boy in the movie theatre showing the connection between David and his love, passion, trust in God the Father. And afterwards be more inspired to read the Bible. Things like this is what young kids need to mold them into bright people!
