when we originally designed the clutch we had shims to adjust the endplay and shims to adjust airgap,now we machine the fiber base in the clutch basket so the airgap is stationary and the thrust bearing assy is a standard assy non adjustable,also the new inner hubs are backless, this also prevents loading on the thrust bearing assy during operation.

older systems airgap was changed by air gap shims behind inner hub ,the new systems change airgap by switching out 1 fiber plate as you mentioned

You install it just like u took the other out make sure u install all shims and bearing out of you old basket in the new one
.100 airgap for handslider .050 airgap for full slider
