A lovely interview, boys. Your manner and generosity are what makes us so proud to be associated with the game and, here in Australia just now, with Joe Schmidt.
What a coach. We'll never forget what he did for Leinster and Ireland. He took us to levels we had never seen before and probably never thought we'd get to. And he has always been a total gent. No better man to get the Wallabies back to the top.
I don’t think he gets enough credit. He is THE reason we are at where we are right now.
Superb interview. Great human level chat with an excellent part of Irish Rugby. No agenda, just a good conversation. No doubt he will get a great welcome in the stadium.
That was balm for the soul. Did ye notice that Joe spoke about how 'we' played Samoa, 'we' went for a lineout? He was brilliant for Irish rugby; the right man in the right place at the right time ❤
But I hope 'WE' win tomorrow!! 🎉
What a legend , i miss his calm wise presence, lovely human being, Best thing to happen to irish rugby welcome back Joe.
Class interview Lads. Joe a legend and will never be forgotten for what he has done for Irish Rugby and for us all as a Sporting Nation....some wonderful times. Not to often I hear Peter Canavan and Joe Schmitz mentioned in same pod. First Class.... PS - Hands off Ruari and Darragh Canavan :)
Great conversation boys. Joe did so much for us over here. Great to have him back. Coaches should do more of this content. Should be a great game this weekend, as usual he have a plan for us.
this is so refreshing, look forward to it every week
I could listen to you pair 24/7. Can't beat honesty and craic.
This was a brilliant interview with one of the greatest rugby minds out there. Joe changed the course of Irish rugby and gave us many fond memories along the way. He is a legend of Irish rugby and has always come across as a lovely person.
😂 This was great, much better than the generic media questions to coaches.
Hopefully you can get a few more in.
A Legend and always a gentleman . . . great coup getting him onto the podcast!!
Joe Schmidt what a legend, great interview
That was a great chat lads.
Great show lads, excellent interview. Great insights into Joes thinking
Went to Wilson's Hospital School when he was there. Great man.
Really enjoyed that thanks Lads and of course JS - legend of a man
great interview. great show.
Great podcast, great interview
Such a lovely gentle soul.
Enjoyed that, thanks lads!
Totally agree re the talent available from GAA that might be able to switch over for the right offer and talent, instead of relying on private schools primarily.
Great interview with Joe! What a gent!
Just subscribed. Looks like this pod will be fun.
I didn’t know he was a teacher. What a total gentleman. The pair of ye on your best behaviour I see!
Fair play Joe, legend, welcome back!
Just ease off on the old powerplays for the next one.
Great interview guys. Thanks for getting Joe, he's a legend. Just a bit of advice...when you get a legend like this please talk a bit less. There was a couple of moments where you interrupted him and he lost his train of thought. I wanted to hear him finish what he had to say!! When you get a great man, ask a question and let him go!
Great work, guys! A side of Joe Schmidt we rarely see; enjoying the craic with his ex-players! 😂
In fairness, lads, Suaalii played rugby through school and has only been in league for a couple of years. It's not like taking a hurler or a GAA footballer who has never held an oval ball in their life.
Sure Izzy has only been playing in the pack for a few years. I remember talk about him having to learn how to jump & lift in the LO.
I think ud need to get the gaa lads playing rugby by 17 or 18 to give them a chance as older than that ud struggle to build necessary skills
@@101MIGHTYJOE it isn't just skills. Look at the hiding GAA players took from Aussie Rules players, a sport that is hugely less physical than Rugby.
@@clemfandango619 GAA players are amateurs man, as in dudes with day jobs. Not professional athletes.
@Camcolito indeed. That's why adult GAA players are going to be seriously injured by men who are much larger and stronger than they are. No GAA player has experienced being hit at full force by an 18/19st professional athlete.
As an ABs Fan here in NZ,John Mitchell could take notes on how to let players know you're not going to make the team
Having had the misfortune of encountering Mitchel's arrogance once he could take notes on all aspects of Joe's life.
Gday lads! Luv ya work! All nrl clubs have a heap of crosscodeplayers! If all of them just played union…..Wallabies would be underfeated for years! It just wouldn’t be fair! 💯👍👀🤪🥰
You have to remember the GAA lads are heavily rewarded with many other things, cars, they walk into Jobs, especially in PWC, they are definitely not picking up bar tabs when they are out, prob getting free fuel , etc..they are treated like hero’s .. and ultimately they love it
Love Joe. legend
Good man. Solid. Hopefully Australia will give the Lions a great tour.
Love Joe, hasn't aged a day since he left Leinster!
Totally agree re the talent available from GAA that might be able to switch over for the right offer and talent, instead of relying on private schools primarily.
Ben ó Connor the munster player brilliant hurler. Won minor and u20 all ireland
Really hope Joe gets the recognition from the fans tomorrow.
Maybe it's the camera angle but his hands are fucking huge😂
Wally Walsh the retired kilkenny hurler savage rugby player
If you’re going back to the day, what about Tony Hanahoe, captained Dublin.
No, she wasnt,my daughter was born on the 22nd, and I meet you on the way in at 11pm when I was kickedout,as only am irish man could say "I better go downstairs, or jenny will kill me " to this day my daughter knows the 22nd of November was the great day in my life, I meet donnacha 😂😂😂😂
Sorry October I'm as bad
Some craic
Joe could run for office here and win! He'd probably do a better job too!
Hope Joes Australia pip Leinster on Saturday
More munster moaning😊
I would agree with u but then we would both be wrong
Green Leinster
Disgraceful attitude. Didn’t hear many Leinster fans saying the same when national team was stacked with Munster players. If you want to get picked get better!! Simple
😅😅😅😅😅 melt 😅😅
Forced banter is not funny
Sua'al'li has played a heavy contact for years. A GAA player would be broken in half. Bowe is totally delusional.
Take a Chill Pill lad
@martingavin3147 Take a reality pill, laddie.
