Those cliffhanger endings just get worse and worse. AoT really ruined my sleep schedule when I first binged it, and it’s like 2 or 3 am and I’m thinking “who needs sleep? I just need to know what happens next.”
Honestly a part of me wished I had waited to watch it so i wasn't waiting weeks between episodes then years between seasons

Agree, a part of the AOT fandom loves giving spoilers or obvious hints.
Imagine those who watched AOT WEEKLY and to see that 'to be continued' comes up the screen... IMAGINE
the Sasha food thing will be explained but its mostly to do with the last 5 years, all of the land inside Wall Maria had to be evacuated into wall Rose meaning that basically double the population moves in and double the food is needed which they do not have. In episode 2 Eren and the others were scrounging for any food they can get. A big reason why they sent out 200000 people was to deal with food shortage as they mentioned in episode 2
the best thing about AOT is when there are a few slower paced/character building episodes in a row, the action that does come feels more earned and worthwhile as we built up to it and its not 100% action all the time
I also said it in the last upload. One thing you don't complain about AOT is it's getting slow, because once you do then you can only hope for it to slow down😂😂

i was super anti-anime (ik ik tasteless) for a long time and during COVID i gave this a try and i kid you not i binged all 3 seasons in less than a week, i was hardly sleeping because i just couldn't stop watching, this is one of my top 3 shows of all time and it just gets better and better! so glad you're reacting to it and so happy you're enjoying it! it's a hell of a ride :))
8:32 only the top 10 can CHOOSE to go to MILITARY POLICE that is INSIDE the walls and they can be safe (they don't have to go to military police if they want to join survey corps or the garrison), others just have to go to the millitary (SURVEY CORPS) that go exploring outside the walls or they can join the GARRISON that protects town and reinforces walls...
so only the top 10 have the freedom to choose

Another tip for this (and other) series: since you'll inevitably get ahead on episodes over time vs. RUclips, it would be a good idea to share which episode you are all *currently* on either in the description or (ideally) in an overlay during the video's intro segment. That allows commenters to know 1) what content is spoiler-safe to discuss in comments for your reading, and 2) if you open a Patreon, it can make clear to viewers how far ahead they can jump if they join it.

Never been much of an anime guy myself, found myself watching this with a friend a few months ago. Ended up binging the whole show in a week, it's a crazy ride so best of luck.

Loving these reaction video's! But like others have said, it would be wise to get a moderator over the chat as people tend to (unintentionally) spoil elements of the show. And the best part of AoT is the mystery and shocks
I do have to say that if your priority is Action for a series to be good you might not like every single episode of AoT, but many of the episodes that aren't action packed are some of the most important and thrilling episode regardless!! I hope you all eventually like the slower more dialogue heavy episodes too!
Given that they are invested in the characters now they will enjoy the more slower paced episodes later. If it doesn’t hook you right away then maybe some action could be just what they needed to get you really into it

Love it so far, I love when people see/realize the greatness and creativity in anime (animated shows), if you want Action, U ARE GONNA GET IT WITH AOT, you chose one of the greatest animes of all time - the music, its worldbuilding, its build-up, the easter eggs and the foreshadows, THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, to the crispest in animation/design. Just be careful with the comment section because you will always find trolls giving spoilers or hyping up episodes that are not relevant just to ruin your experience, so pay no mind to such comments when they're about what comes next on the show. Most of us AoT fans who want you to enjoy this one-of-a-lifetime experience will mostly comment on episodes you've already watched. The most we can say is be ready cuz AoT has been called Attack on Cliffhangers, and there's good reason for that ;)

I'm just saying, pay atention to everything, there's so much details and foreshadowing on AoT and avoid spoilers. The magic of Shingeki is precisely the feeling of not knowing anything or think you do and it's just plot twist after plot twist.

One of the things about this whole series is that is keeps you locked in; you start asking questions then, you get some answers but then it brings up more questions so you just want to see how it ends. lol.
Anime is seriously misjudged because its animated and the animation style can be childish/ cringe and the stories can be childish ( those ones for kids) but then its the same animation but with more adult stories that are so out of this world, that you won't find anywhere else. It's so diverse it is hard to generalize that all anime is cringe. Glad you gave it a shot! Thanks for your reaction!

I mean the reason the beat him up was to show that his power wasn’t uncontrollable. If Eren really wanted to, he could have destroyed them all during that hearing. But seeing Levi beat the shit out of eren gave the other regiments assurance that the scouts could control him in an emergency.

Hey guys, re the 3D maneuvering gear. Humans normally are only accustomed to moving themselves in a 2D space. When you walk or run, you are limited to going forwards, backwards, left and right or diagonal, but it's all in a 2D space. When you're using the 3D manuever gear you're now able to add up and down - you're now fully mobile in 3 dimensions instead of just the 2 you've been using your whole life.

Anime comes in all sorts of genres, you want the adult stuff and trust me there's a treasure there.
You'll be taken by surprise by the creativity, smart and intelligent writing of some of them.
Others make you laugh till your sides break and there are those that simply cannot be described and can only be dubbed as 'must see's'.
Now that is just the stuff they turned into anime, if you read the manga's some of the horror genre are truly mindscarring.
So is it for kids? I think you learned by now that 'some' of it is, but that there is also a laaarge adult section.

Hightly recommend getting someone to moderate comments for you guys, either by removing spoiler (or even spoiler adjacent) comments, or relaying "safe" comments to you guys while you avoid the main comment section entirely. It's very spoiler sensitive and even though people are generally good, some people can not keep their mouths shut lol. I'm sure there are tons of people who'd be willing to do this for you guys just to ensure you have a clean AoT experience!

Attack on Titan, I think, is one of the best shows to have come out in decades, regardless of the country of origin. I get you on hang ups about getting into this show, I didn't want to watch the show at first either and this wasn't even the first anime I've watched. I was kinda aware of it (fan base is huge) before I watched the show, so I walked into it having had some MAJOR spoilers. It's fun to watch people get the first time shocks I didn't get when I watched the show. I don't know if other people have recommended it, but possibly have someone screen the comment section for you?
