GRASSMEN are the fast-paced, global agriculture phenomenon whose video content and merchandise are recognised worldwide. The business was started in 2009 by current director Gareth Gault, known to fans as ‘Donkey’. His love and passion for machinery allowed him to experiment with cameras and upload content to RUclips. To his surprise, a large following soon developed and the niche in the market for real-life, documentary, farming and machinery action made it possible to drive the brand forward.
We at GRASSMEN, pride ourselves on providing an exclusive look into agricultural manufacturers, meeting real, working farmers, showing and demonstrating tractors and machinery through all seasons such as silage and slurry and ultimately educating and entertaining our fans.
If you love all things agriculture from top manufacturers such as John Deere, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, JCB, Land Rover and many many more, come and join #teamgrassmen, we would love to have you!
Really good watch in my opinion. Having grown up in the North East of Scotland in the heart of a big estate I enjoyed watching all the big machines but silage time is my favourite time. That distinctive drone of the choppers is a sound of summer that and a sight of a swallow. There was some kit running about in those fields. I enjoy the chat also even though some of it with the thick Irish accent passes me bye but I get the gist but us Scots can hardly complain. Keep the content coming.
Thanks, silage time is definitely our favourite time too 😁
Adrian you are my favorite farmer across the pond. I love to see farming and you are so good at showing what you do. Have a great day. Hope everyone stays healthy and happy
Love this keep up the good work this is so hilarious with sophie and craig
class video again great to see all the different makes of kit out and working thats not huge
What nice machinery that you are showing us.
Would be worthwhile chucking a GPS receiver on the mower to address the lever arm and side slip artefacts you get with a cab mounted receivers and reduce the unnecessary overlap.
Yeah I'd say so if you were buying and really going for the max.
Sure 30 years ago people would have said self propelled or triple mowers were too big and would never take off in Ireland.
I think they did. Especially so with the fusion balers from memory.
@@Grassmen... It's all about an ever changing industry seeing the need and adopting solutions. I remember contractors in Cork picking up 70 acres a day in first cut and 100 acres in 2nd with a heston self propelled and it was considered mind blowing and people crying "you would never keep a pit right and properly rolled" with grass coming in that fast. :)
Some fantastic kit but the 7060 was just sheer music on the ears 💪💪

The SIP mowers definitely have a market in Ireland and the UK. The introduction of "multi cut" I.e a cut every 4 weeks, has created a need to cover large acres of light crop efficiently, forward speed increase is never as efficient as larger working width for the same horsepower.
The likes of carsehall farm would be a prime example of a customer for these mowers.
2-300 acres per cut could be accomplished in one day. This narrows the weather window required to begin cutting and can make the impossible possible.
The profit gained per year from multi cut is around £300/acre over traditional systems right now, last year it was over £600/acre, these machines pay for themselves easily if we use them correctly.
As someone from holland with a farm that has 130ha (321acres) I"d prefer a triple over the SIP because the time lost on the headlands is way more than the time gained on the straights
They're far better off in country's with long big fields like New Zealand or Australia or eastern Germany
You had mentioned the Silver Cut wouldn’t work for pivots?
Can you explain why?
I’m thinking about buying one for my Alfalfa pivots.
Thanks
Some great machinery, plenty of info, interesting to watch. Donkey handled the harvester the very best. Top video
Thanks 😁
Good video interesting to watch.
Thanks 😁
CLASS
One problem I see with the Hogg. Catches too much grass on the back of the tail door. If anyone drives away from the pit without putting the tail door down there’ll be a trail of grass the whole way out the yard. Need to slope up them flat ribs on the back of the door.
Other then that a good looking trailer!👍🏻
Say tuned for the feedback video to Hoggs 😁👍🏻
The Bee and the man are no match for the high output machine
Great video lads👏🏻
Brilliant film
Thanks 😁
Ah the deutz used to drive one DX110 brilliant machine
How does a tractor dyno work ? They use the pto ? No wheels turning I see
Known as cab grass Like the Millennial Farmer and Cab Corn I suppose back in the day with an old tractor with no windows drawing a good belt of wet grass was a good way of teaching a bloke And to the big buck rake man even if you do it right they will still tell you that you were doing it wrong Hey At over 70 still like the straight pipe Maybe only on you tube Happy days and
Give Craig a chance, we all have to learn. None of us know it all, we all had to start somewhere.
Absolutely, we were just having a laugh. Craig loves it.
Any chance you have the figures from the silage analysis, yield ME protein etc. That would be interesting in itself to compare its usefulness for contractor(pricing work) and farmer(increasing knowledge for better management)?
All in the pipe line. There will be a full series on the Deere. From the order process to build process and in field use.
Top video as always lads
Thanks 👍
Awesome deutz footage
William😂❤❤ 0:26
Ah ya cracking video infairness!! All the chats were good but the debate on weather the big mowers would work in 🇮🇪 was the best 😂😂😂 also FYI isn’t there ment to be a Class Cougar working in Offaly/Westmeath somewhere????
O there maybe is. But we were meaning the SIP are the world's largest that you could purchase. Ie Cougar discontinued.
@@Grassmen oooh right!! Well I think it’s not that their too wide…. Because some 🇮🇪 fields/gateways/roads would suit them it’s the fact they’re not built for heavy/damp crops for grass like in 🇮🇪 is what Cian was getting at I’d say??
did that 1455 on the lorry come from the uk
That is one amazing first cut😍👍 great to see donkey in the big kit again👍😃
Brilliant video, thanks👍👍
Thank you 😁
Sir your interview is very nice
Thankyou
That's true about the slurry putting it on the same parks ah the time think it can do something to the calf's
The captions are having trouble with your accents. Some of the words are strange without the audio to corrrect.
Nice one
That old Zetor👍
It's little amuses the innocent 😁
No don't dis the big Blue on the pit! She sounds sweet!

What’s the setup for royal cornwall show then grassmen
New lorry, massey 3690 & case1455
Great camera work 😁
Be good to see other crops
Hogg trailer looks ok but be better with double rams for tripping
Lads think we need to see more of Sophie on the screen..
Not enough 6910 footage.. Great day out by the looks of it.
Has that massey 6 hydraulick valves? 2 electric and 4 mechanical..nice one
No the electric were replaced to 4 mechanical. Just lack of use was the main reason we did this.
I would have it mowed
Wud a pz 5'6 drum mower
& turned wud a haybob
B4 dim 14 lad s
Would be done flute.'n around
Yoke'n up the big gear 😎
What's the thought of the lrish dairy herd been reduced by 25%,sure you'd fit plenty of bug's in them trailers 😅
🔹Ireland’s 🇮🇪 Minister for Agriculture, Charlie McConalogue, confirmed that a cow culling scheme is in the works, where as many as 65,000 cows 🐄 per year might need to be slaughtered between 2023 and 2025. This is to meet 2030 emissions reduction targets and he claims the scheme is voluntary.
🔹The Irish Farmers’ 🚜 Association believe such reports further fuel the view that the gov't is working behind the scenes to undermine their dairy and livestock sectors. Reducing dairy or beef production in Ireland will also lead to production moving to other countries. For example, Brazil 🇧🇷will just produce more and Ireland will end up importing.
🔹Spending vast sums of taxpayer’s money on destroying productive animals would be a perfect summation of the net zero madness infecting the West. Wreaking havoc on livestock 🐂 farming families in the name of climate science is also very short-sighted. Meanwhile, Ireland is spending 43 million euros on a cattle genomics 🧬programme.
🔹Ireland 🇮🇪 is the 2nd victim of disastrous EU 🇪🇺 'climate change' policies , after the Netherlands 🇳🇱. Dutch farmers are undergoing a battle as they face the possibility of 3,000 farms being closed down and restrictions on land area for cattle grazing. Netherlands' gov't claims this is to help the environment from nitrogen pollution.

@@Chris-lt2ov Scary stuff! 😯
Why not show a video on Donnelly trailers I seen hog trailers at Balmoral show they r 2 heavy one thing I like about the Donnelly trailer they done 1 simple thing they put in an extra support in the side's price a Donnelly trailer against a hog trailer let me know
If donnelly want us to trial a trailer and make a video we will happily 😁
Reverse drive Valtra with buckrake on the back
I see a person trying to buckrake with a side boom teleporter and I die a little inside.
Lol
Where’s the 110-90 😢
It's there.
Needs to be removed n the draw!
9700, still old cap, crap joystick.. come on JD, Krone is the topnotch
Good point about the cab
I kina prefer smaller gear
Many people do
Whatever about the big mower....the gut on the big lad eats up some acres🤒
Serious acres
What do you do when you meet a telegraph pole it's ireland there no need for a mower 50 foot wide fields overall are to small more suited to a triple on a tractor or a big m. They'll be worth nothing as a trade in cause there only be one mad bastard that will buy one 😂 🤣there's always one.
Also where's the 14145 crystal 🔮 🤔
We know they aren't suitable for Ireland
Them too should get married engagement, ring the wedding ring in the suffering hahahahahahahahahhahaahahha😂🤣😂🤣🇨🇮🇨🇦 9:08
