Came across your website today looking for a lesson on Roller. Great job on the lesson and I love that you offer lessons on songs you can't find anywhere else. The best collection of lessons I have seen yet. Keep up the great work!

As a Canadian kid from the '70's as well, I've always loved April Wine. There is a cover band that plays on Fremont Street in Vegas all the time called Alter Ego. Roller has been in their set for as long as I have been seeing them there. Always makes me happy when I hear that little bit of CanCon in the US!

As a proud Canadian who grew up in the 70s, I'm glad someone as talented as yourself Kelly is showing some love to a great Canadian band! Have you thought about doing a lesson from my favorite Canadian band, The Band? Love Halifax, as a teenager I still member walking across the old bridge! I wouldn't trade growing up in the 70's in Canada for all the iPhones in the world! Thanks Kelly 👍 🎸🇨🇦

The fact that they didn't make it "big" north of the boarder is a shame, It would have been well deserved but there is something that for me says good. Like may Canadian bands, what makes them great is the Canadian in them. April Wine, Triumph, The Stampeders, Lighthouse, Blue Rodeo, The Hip, Foot in cold water, The Guess Who, Goddo, Rush and countless others. It is something that makes me extremely proud to say I Am Canadian and these are My bands. P.S. April Wine will always for me be from the East Coast. I knew Ritchie and Dave in school when i lived in Westville.

I saw them several times during the height of their fame. They were very beloved by those of us in the 70's and were never forgotten. I still listen to them today and have several CD's. They were a solid, quality and exceptional band that should have been as well known as Journey, Rush and Styx....

Great stuff. I'm 59 years old. I loved April Wine. Of the Canadian bands, I favored them over Triumph, and even with Rush (at the time). April Wine was a big influence on me.
Roller, I like to Rock, Gypsy Queen and Schizoid Man stood out. They should have been much bigger than they were.

Hey, thanx so much Kel..........great job!! From Bramalea/Brampton here (just north of Toronto). My old singer from '87 got a hold of me the other day after losing touch for 2 decades. We are getting together tomorrow to re-connect/jam, and thought i'd suprize him with this song (he could sing it like no tomorrow back in the day! But that was a loooong time ago....lol). Cruel, yes........but that's what us old folk like to do sometimes right?? Cheers, and thanx again for teaching me/ re-learning/blowing the cobwebs off this awesome song :)

Couldn't agree more with you about April Wine deserving more success than they achieved. In the 70's they used to put on great concerts in the old forum or at Natal Day festivities and they wrote some great tunes. It is a little unclear why some bands just don't succeed while others do - perhaps it just comes down to a little luck at the right times.
