I have those multicolor pencils too. They are a lot of fun! I'm a bit of a control freak so it helps me let go a bit. The bridge looks amazing! Well done!! 👏👏 Best way I've found to just sketch is to go out with cheaper/thinner paper that doesn't take mix media. Then you're not tempted to throw paint on it. I can always scan and trace it onto watercolor paper later if I want to. I mostly draw when I'm at work and need to break my thought process up. Getting a bit better at urban sketching though. Just have to remind myself to leave the darn house!
The sketch turned out amazing. It’s nice to just take a moment and capture it whether it be in a sketch or even a simple photo to look back on. Excited to see more urban sketching videos as I live in a rural area that is as far removed from an urban landscape that you can get. Much love from here in Washington State 💕

This Tower Bridge sketching turned out so good ! I think the pencil you chose was a perfect idea! As for me, I try really hard to find some time in my busy schedule to create something. If I can't, however, it's ok, I watch one of your videos! Have a nice weekend, agapi mou!!! 😘

@@SketchesnScrubs In early 2020, I needed something to make me feel less stressed. My husband and I were both working from home and our daughter was in her last year of high school. Make a swatch card, list out ideas, sketch out the next great thing. Doodle prompts and art challenges have really helped.

The first thing was the scene outside of my bedroom window of the freeway next to my house. I tried to draw the over the street sign for the next exit entry. That was interesting then I started just imagining whatever came to my mind scary
Sorry I hit the wrong button. Most of the time when I sketch, it's what I imagination. I tried sketching what I see, which can be tricky as I am almost blind and what I saw was blurry. I have a great imagination. Mother's Day I just made up a family and sketched a mother a daughter a son and a dad. My family and friends said I did a really good job and they looked realistic. I also sketched my stuffed animals. My husband painted in oil and I have many of his paintings on my walls those are great inspirations and he is so encouraging. I suffered a stroke 5 years ago and I am living in a foster home. I have set up a tiny Studio in my bedroom. I used my over the bed table so I can set out paints, my water, my paper, and my brushes. Painting has been my awesome physical therapy. Last year I could not hold up my right hand and depend on it for anything. I now can hold my paper with my right hand as I'm painting. Major Improvement. So I finished my second month of sketching and now I am getting ready to take on the World watercolor month prompts. Every day of my calendar I have written the prompts and my goal is to do the whole month. Am I ambitious or what. I'll let you know how it goes.
I love it! I think I picked up that same pencil at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art because it just looked so fun. I will need to throw it into my pack pack to use on the go. How fun!
Such a fun sketching idea to use a multi-color pencil! It gave it such a whimsical look 🌈 Edit: oh and as for your question, I draw almost every day, except for when I’m trying to heal my hand 😭
I draw when I have to for a painting, lol. If I'm doing a challenge such as Inktober, for example, then I end up drawing every day for nearly two months straight. I love your little sketch!
I try to sit and draw atleast 20 minutes or so most days even if its just a quick sketch or working a bit on an ongoing piece. I used to have to sit and finish my art in one go but as time has passed and I've had less and less time to sit and do art for long periods ive gotten used to starting and finishing pieces over the course of a week or longer :) love the piece so colourful and beautiful definitely worth you stopping and doing a quick sketch!
each of my wc pieces I start with a drawing. the last half a year or longer I am often doing sketches in colored pencils, I do not go for fully realistic, rendered look, but I like to do studies with cp since I have much more control, and I use brutfuner square pencils which are very creamy and soft and give a lot of pigment. sometimes I use pen and ink, sometimes alcohol markers.
