Warlords of Draenor was one of the most controversial expansion, they really wanted to ride the hype train of Spartacus/Rome series - gladiator, roman empire themes (which was evolved into the vikings for a few years now), artisticly this expansion was really good, i mean the music was so new, and refreshing with the new middle-eastern, oriental instruments, the colors and the world was really interesting, jungles, cliffs, plains, etc. I would recommend to anybody who leveling an alt, try it because story/quest wise on-par with the legion, if you like the orcish/draenei themes.
Not just that. PvE class design was at its highest and that coming after MoP and predecessing Legion class designs. Raids were awesome. BRF is easily one of the best raids they've put out. Challenges were also good. They also improved Visuals by quite a bit. Improved game's overall performance, and a lot more, it just was half of what they planned for it. They had to cut people off of WoD in favour of developing Legion better, idk if it was for the better or worse.
I always wondered what an RPG set exclusively on Draenor would look like. No humans or traditional RPG races. It would just be Orcs, Ogres, bird people, those mummy looking dudes, etc.
When you don't respect the makGora and just use your elemental shaman BS on a warrior instead of loosing it like u should. Garosh lost to blizzard and the stupidity of the writing team.
I just loved the Draenei zone it was amazing i still get the chills of it after so many years. it was fun while it lasted, Good old Warcraft i'll miss you buddy.

Good thing for Thrall he didn't have any witness's other then the player. He would of been in big dudu if other orc's saw him using magic in a Mak'ta'ra (however it's spelled).
Actually, Magic IS Legal in Mak'gora because Mak'gora has no set rules (traditionally it's To The Death, but it doesn't have to be. Any rules for the match are set at the time of the challenge.) Magic is only forbidden in the Movie timeline.
@@patrickmurray3846 um no the rules state that you can only bring in 1 weapon. If you take magic then you cannot have a weapon. Since magic itself is a weapon. The dranor elementals strip Thrall of his connection when he cheated by using magic after he brought Doomhammer with him. Since he was so powerful it took awhile to lose it all. But he can be granted his shaman powers if he makes a deal with the elemental lords on Az.

His story writing at the time was pretty contrived but in hindsight it really wasn't that bad, just not fully executed. (Still significantly better writing than BfA and Shadowlands )
@@raz5 yeah these first 3 are obtained through a quest chain. 1. Crystallized Horror 2. Crystallized Dread 3. crystallized Terror Then theres this item which is obtained by the end game questline Breath of the Black prince.
@@raz5 also they were going to release legendary weapons and armor but by the time they were going to release those everyone got bored of MOP so they had to rush on the release of the new expansion and thus was why alot of players found warlords of draenor to be a boring expansion because it was rushed to completion.

I didn’t really like Metzen’s writing toward the end of his time at Blizz but shadowlands makes it look like Lord of the Rings in comparison
