- The Shaman! The most nerfed World of Warcraft class whose lore is always totally forgotten by the Blizzard writers. Gone are the days of Shamans who call upon the elements for aide, submitting to their power and becoming beacons of ancestral wisdom - only to be replaced with the modern Shaman who is just a thunderbolt casting totem machine that are only good for healing in World of Warcraft PvP. Perhaps the Shaman needs some love and just another chance to impress, which has drawn the Noob to the WoW class to give it a try. This is How to: Shaman, a World of Warcraft machinima by Nixxiom.
Although Shamans are one of Nixxiom's favorite classes in World of Warcraft, it's one of those classes that he has never leveled to max. Not for any particular reason, as the gameplay is always exciting and fun, but the Shaman just can never quite stick it and create an addiction in Nixxiom's mind. Maybe it's their modern lore, feel, or something else - regardless, this How to: Shaman machinima was made with great love for this class in World of Warcraft.

Technically if you consider Kul'Tiran people to be human, then yes, humans can be Shamans. At least lore-wise.

@@Billaxle Shamans are about the elements in their primal form, not the expression of them. If praying to the storm is not different, than Shamans/Druids wouldn't be different at all.
@@Devin7Eleven Druids have nothing to do with the elements though. They worship Life, Cenaurius, Elune, and their children.

I just love the fact that Resto shamans are more powerful users of lightning bolt than elemental shamans, like blizz wtf. Makes playing an ele shaman feel super underwhelming when your healing spec only needs have the spells and they all do double the damage compared to ele.

That was at wrath xd but at cata and beyond it was adjusted so that ele is better
Shaman was always a hated class in blizzard for no reason.
They always nerf it and make it weaker
@@ibrahimelwaraky8471 Nah it's still been like that in Legion and Shadowlands too, I mained my shammy for most of both.
I've played a dps Frost DK since Wrath and a Combat/Outlaw Rogue since BC, I picked up shaman in WoD and it's just felt weak all the way. I remember having to burn a cooldown every fight in legion because of how squishy and low-damage it was (pretty sure it was in the bottom 3 dps class specs in early Legion), I remember going to Argus as Enhancement at the end of Legion and just... Clapping enemies, it was crazy how strong it was by comparison.
I can't remember how it's felt in shadowlands since I only played it at the start of the xpac and I was mostly resto anyway then but it definitely needs a rework. Lightning bolt feels underwhelming unless you burn cooldowns to empower it, Earth Shock always felt like Earth Tickle and honestly... I want to feel like I'm really using the elements as a weapon, and atm the only time I ever feel that is casting Lava burst on a flame shocked target... Or when I got all the flame shock talents in torghast so it's proccing damage constantly.

I electively leveled through vashj'ir on a fresh shaman just last month! Truly I am one with the elements
Shaman is actually my favorite class :P
Same armorset that made me switch from warrior when i started.
Last 2 times I went back to play the bfa healing and mana regen nerf hit and absolutely no one was taking enhance for M+.

@@metal_monocle7334 it was good, could keep classes that tried to reset combat to eat or drink. Break stealth of a rogue that vanished. Drop near a flag and would stop a cap. It had its uses for sure but it really needed a damage boost.
I'm gonna need the name of that cloak and that belt please.
I love how Death Knight didn't even have to be in this one because the class kinda ruins itself and of course Blizzard making it useless after removing the tank spec.

This is why I quit wow. Why should any class suck? Sure 10% less dps or 15% less defense. But doing 30-50% less dps or heals than another class is clearly broken. That’s not a “get good” thing… that’s called a broken game
