So nice! Great to see Nat & Joe skiing with you again. I always thought that it must be so lonely at times when you go to ski and no one is at your level and you can't share in the thrill with someone else when you finish an awesome run. But then again, when you film these amazing runs you're never alone because we all watch it with you. So thanks for the great skiing!
@@POW862 its really difficult to use absolutes in life. surely utah is incredible and has amazing skiing - just like bc. utah arguably gets a lot more and higher quality snow than most areas in bc. and hopefully you arent including whistler in your assessment of lack of crowds.
Lucas… I can see how Kicking Horse has touched your soul! You will have to return to ski there. T1 & T2 are on your menu for sure. Personally I enjoy your pow days the most ❄️❄️❄️ All the best to Poppa Joe & Natcat 😊 Thanks for the awesome video! Imagine… you only scratched the surface 🤔
I went there this year and all the locals were telling me this was the worst year on record. They hadn't had snow in two weeks and I feared the worst. Though the snow quality was surprisingly really good. The mountain doesn't seem to get skied out and maintains fresh lines even weeks after a storm at the bottom of the couloirs. The conditions were similar to Alta and Snowbird a few days after a pow day in one of their best seasons on record. Great video though!
Once you get to know the mountain it gets even better! If you ever come back ask ski patrol for their ski run atlas. It outlines almost every hittable feature and chute on the mountain along with their names. Some pretty spicy stuff at the ends of both CPR and Redemption if you're willing to get to them.
Revel stoke and kicking horses were the two areas I wanted to ski on our trip to backcountry ski Rodgers pass. Now u make me feel it’s time to return and do them
Great job, thanks! Just find your channel today! what a bless! I'm from Spain, I've been skiing in several good places, but never in the States, and your videos are an absolutly wonder to choose a great destination for next seasson... Looking for a good powdery tree skiing place and not too crowded (as everybody, I guess), thinking about Grand Targhee, Whitefish... I don't know, now I have lots of hours of good skiing videos of a bunch of great places to choose from! Thanks again for your job, and excuse my bad english!
Yes, it would have to be activated when moisture hits the lens. Or a C02 cartridge that blows puffs of air to blow the fluff off the lens. But it would add weight to the camera and jack the price up.
@@susanmoriarty9900 I was thinking something transparent that just makes a pass in one direction every time you hit a button on your pole or bike handlebar.
Good job Lucas, glad to see you got some snow finally. You did at lot of black diamonds that you needed to see the resort in all it's glory. Did you see where the griz is sleeping? The Horse is amazing and can get really spicy. Peace Out. P.
I'm glad you got some fresh snow for Kick! I am hoping you still have Castle Mtn. on your trip. I think we can give them a run for the Gnar! Check the map and look for The Chutes! ;)
So stoked on these BC vids you have been putting out!! I have always wanted to shred up there and just have not made it yet so you have given me an awesome tore of the area. Thank you very much🤙🤙
Careful on the highways - heavy snow is forecast for Monday and Tuesday in southern Alberta (Calgary and surrounding) area. Plus super cold temperatures (-23 Celsius) Wednesday and Thursday - but you may know that already. If you're driving through Calgary and going south - you might want to check out Castle mountain resort or Fernie BC - they are supposed to get heavy snow on Monday night.
Great video and that area is beautiful with all the peaks. Narly! a bit too steep for me, and boulders in the middle of the slope/cliff. I love when you ski with your family, but where was mom? I hope you did good in your car race! Be safe
Not sure if you're out of the area but Banff is suppose to be getting hammered with snow. Youre so lucky you got some fresh snow there, when I was there in January, it didn't have any fresh snow in over a week.
@@LucasCatania17 oh I meant I was in Kicking horse in January. Not Banff. I remember that video of you there grabbing a few laps and the lack of snow. Still awesome though
Yaaa baby one of my favourite resorts. It’s no joke like joe said, hiking up stairway to heaven or the terminator peaks. Sadly there was an avalanche last week 2 died.
Skiid Snowbird for the first time today and I get why you’re “meh” on Colorado. Utah is where it’s at. Guess I gotta put Kicking Horse on the list. Thanks for doin your thang!
SO MUCH T2 and back country is insane i go there from australia the fallline skiing just makes you a great skier think the FREERIDE TOUR IS A GIMIC being there back side of REVY may be better they close the best part of the resort the pro skiers could do side hills
Lucas - suggestion... would be great to get a different view of you skiing... maybe w/ Joe or whoever following you with the camera once in awhile... and visa-versa. As you know, the pole mounted camera is covenient... but it distorts things a bit so its hard to get a true sense for the difficulty of terrain, pitch etc... and your technique! Wish your pop was in Tahoe... we have a small group of 57 - 63 year old shredders hovering right around his skill level and we're always trying to find new members! :) Appreciate your content!

Its the best steep terrain! We got rocked with 80cm last year in 2 days, insane hikes on T1 & T2
Dang😮
Even better than snowbird?
;)
Can’t leave the bird hanging and especially with their fine fluffy dry powder and how much they get and then many bluebirds

Not everyday a utah local is impressed by terrain other then what's at snowbird/alta haha. Sick lines out there man, Canada looks so beautiful.
