    I just found your channel...
    My dad was a cowboy and a western artist .my love of horses started as a child and I wanted to be a cowgirl when i grew up. I roped my 1st steer at 13 when i visited my dad, and my dad was very proud.
    I had to move from that life when I was very young, because my parents divorced. That was many years ago and now I am close to retirement.
    It's good to see that the cowboy lifestyle is still going strong.
    Have a blessed day.

    Another excellent video! I was down in your neck of the woods last weekend looking at a place. The snow came in Friday right as I was pulling into town but it didn't fall very far east of the mountains. By the time I hit UCross on Saturday afternoon there was no snow at all. Weird winter for sure, but I'll take it over the deep snow and bitter cold we have been having up here in the mountains in NW Montana the last couple of days.

    We’ve been having a mild winter here in MT as well. It was nice being able to leave our cows out on pasture longer than usual.

    What do u give them salt for? Hows that help em? Dehydrates them?? I dont understand sir lol if u could explain id be grateful...irdk squat about that life
    ?? If u let the reigns to the horse (Elroy) go, would he run away? If so...would henreturn? And?? Would the horse eat that salt rock thing u give the cows too?? Does it do the samething for the horse that it does for the cows? Why do u only own black cows? Why not brown and white ones? If a dog has black fir...u can looks between his strands of fir and see his skin is white. Same w a cow or horse?

      Salt helps cows maintain healthy appetite and body weight, helps with bone and tooth help, helps them sweat properly, and help blood flow/circulation... it is very important to overall bovine health functions generally. Elroy would probably make his way back to the trailer if I let him lol, but he wouldn't run off or anything... thanks for watching.

    Just curious what you’ll do with the hay that you stored up last year but end up not feeding during a mild winter? As always enjoy the videos!

    • @WYORancher307
      @WYORancher307  7 месяцев назад +1

      if properly put up, hay will last several years... If we are heading into a drought trend this year, we may not put up much hay this summer and will definitely be glad to have this years hay on reserve for next winter!

    Another great video! Curious about your thoughts on the snow and impacts on water availability in the spring. I know in my area a lack of snow means potential for a dry spring and the issues that go with that. Does that impact things in Wyoming? Saving that money on hay though, that’s pretty awesome.

    • @WYORancher307

    Why do you plow rein your horses all the time?

    • @WYORancher307
      @WYORancher307  7 месяцев назад

      I don’t all the time… but sometimes when Im trotting I help remind Elroy to keep his head down by giving him some low rein pressure

    Great video as usual. I haven't watched your California video yet. Seeing you with your cap on backwards made me think you might have lost your mind. Lol Good to see you back on your ranch. Always good to "lay your eyes on some good looking cows".
    Ol Elroy looks like good addition to your ranch too.
