Video-game dunkey and leah becoming indie publishers has been one of the most Bigmode moments of all time
I am pretty sure that Dunkey just wants more games to play. Bigmode is just his way to recoup the costs a little bit and to share those games.
Never mix business and pleasure. I'm not saying it's bad he's expanding his powers to make decisions that affect more people -- in fact, that might be a good thing if you think he's good at making decisions. However, don't rule out the published games not being good. When business and pleasure are mixed, that's when someone becomes a fanperson rather than a rational consumer. It'll be a minimode once a single good game comes out, and it'll be bigmode if a series of good games come out.
@@AG-ld6rv I mean, obviously. Unless you found a business for pleasure because you can afford a indie game for a couple tenthousand bucks only you want to play. Which I meant jokingly, because judging from the level of Jason's game critiques I am pretty sure he has the nose for good games. We all will see with animal well and then draw our conclusions.

Seeing Dunkey find his character and get comfortable in front of the camera has been a real treat. He makes such a great spokesperson for these games because he genuinely loves gaming and cares about good games as an art form. Truly been an inspiration since the League days and only continues to pioneer with BIGMODE MOVES.

for all the negative trends happening in the gaming industry, and just business as a whole, i'm really happy to start seeing companies arise that are run by actual human beings who enjoy what they do instead of out of touch execs. gives me just a little bit of hope for the next generation of entertainment, gaming and otherwise.

Just wanna say, you have the best artificial scanlines I've seen in recent years, wow. Owning a CRT and being a pixel artist myself, I can really appreciate the extra depth and detail they add, it's how most historical pixel art was meant to be viewed! Is that a phoshor mask hidden by youtube compression too? I'd love to know!
Having seen years of terrible, lazy scanline emulation shipped with games or "retro style" games with artyles made for monitors people don't use anymore (example, halls of torment) I can say confidently that this is the right way to do it. This detail is so fundamental to the look of the entire game yet is often completely missed by modern indie developers that it's shocking.
I honestly hope there's NOT an option to turn them off in game and that it's the default, so people don't harm their game experience. That's how good I think it is, this is the best I've ever seen shipped with a game and it looks better than 99% of the competition easily.
I love that Dunkey goes "exec Reggie presentation mode" with those hand gestures like it's a Nintendo Direct
I cannot express my happiness that you guys are helping out with Star of Providence. Monolith is by far one of the most underrated roguelikes I've ever played, and it makes me so happy that the devs are getting a shot on switch.

@@MJSHappy Yeah sadly it's what LolFlakes2 pointed out earlier. The company that makes the Middle Earth games is also called Monolith and in a Steam announcement the devs did they said that although they haven't gotten C&D'd yet they'd rather not risk it.
Leah saying “thank you all for supporting Jason’s channel” made me feel like we’re all a bunch of kids playing video games and make-believe, and then mom came in and gave us all sandwiches and fruit snacks. Like we’re all just goofing around and having fun, but it’s nice to be reminded this is real life and we’re actually helping support someone trying to make a difference.

For those unaware like I was until just a second ago, the new game was released already on Steam as Monolith! Seems like they’re bringing it to Switch as Star of Providence with all those new features listed at the end of the trailer.
My favorite part of the video is when he said "I am now putting down the bread" and then he put down the bread. Truly a subversion of my expectations.

I'm putting the memes and jokes aside for a second and speaking from the heart for this. It truly makes me so unbelievably happy to see this. I first discovered and started watching Dunkey back in 2017 when he came out with his review of Mass Effect Andromeda. I was hooked instantly, I binged his uploads because not only did he make me laugh, but he made me think, he opened my mind to new perspectives and he formed a connection by putting himself out there. I'm not exaggerating when I say that since I subscribed it is my favorite thing to see on RUclips when he uploads a new video. Now to see you go from that to branching out into supporting the games you love and believe in, it's been so surreal and truly inspiring and heartwarming to see. I see the passion in every single video and how it even amplifies when you talk about video games. I feel privileged to see this journey unfold over the last six years and to enjoy all the content we've received. So Dunkey (and Leah and the rest of Bigmode too) I want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you. You've not only entertained me but helped me in my day to day life just by doing what you do. Idk if he's even going to see this but it was important for me to put out there. Also when is Bigmode gonna release Knack 3?
I feel that man, I remember being in a very isolated and lonely situation years ago and running across his MGSV videos. They made a real difference to me and I've been following him ever since. Seeing these two become fulfilled in their dreams is legitimately warming to witness.

Monolith was one of the first games i bought at the recommendation of dunk, it became one of my favorite indie games of all time, the fact he's now working with the devs is insane. IM BUYING THAT SHIT

When I got my hands on -Monolith- Star of Providence after your recommendation it quickly became one of my top 10 favorite games(and the music some of my most replayed). Seeing two of my favorite teams work together is so heartwarming an exciting! Thank you all so much!!!
I totally agree. Nobody seems to know about it but it has one of the single best DLCs of all time. A super cheap add on that is essentially a rehaul of a ton of the game and like doubles the content
