      Whatever. He's an emotional crybaby. It's sad seeing a grown man feeding off his emotions.

      Tim John Lackey has been in the game for a while. He did this in 2002 when he was a rookie he still has the guts to pitch just like Barto Colon. And he has more experience with the game then some of the younger guys on the roster.

      Tim ageeed, he comes off like a whiner. Credentials or not he needs to control himself like a respected player should.

      @@falcosparverius6385 : I'm admittedly not a baseball fan, but I fail to see how Lackey acted unprofessionally here. Is it so wrong to want to keep playing? To do what you're paid to do and to do so well? How can you knock that intensity? I'm genuinely confused by Tim & your comments... :/

    The crowd erupting after Farrell leaves the mound is one of my fondest moment of the entire postseason run.

    Unreal. If you told Sox fans before 2013 that they'd be chanting "Lackey" in the WS they'd think you were beyond out of your mind.

    Lackey went from a complete bum in the Boston sports fans' eye to a hero in one year flat. When the dude got serious about the game, there was no one more intense.

    Say what you want about Lackey having a temper problem, or not being a good person or whatever, but the guy won 3 World Series rings with 3 different teams and was a huge part of all 3 of those championships. I'd want him on my side in a team game - just wouldn't hang out with him outside of work.

    I feel like this is the reason John Farrell is so god awful at pulling starting pitchers on time, he probably shit his pants right there and still has lackey in his nightmares

    Reminds of when Max Scherzer did the same thing earlier this year when facing the Red Sox he convinced Brad Ausmus to leave him in to face Ortiz... Only problem was Ortiz ended up hitting I think a 3 run home run as soon as Scherzer pitched to him after.

      He didn’t give up a run!! 😅😅
      He stayed in gave up a walk. And that was it. Period.
      The game was 6-1. The cardinals never scored.
      😆😆
      Look it up before you type something incorrect

    Score became 6-4 on the next pitch and Lackey was taken out of the game in the 7th

    • @coolguy02536
      @coolguy02536 6 лет назад +5

      ? The score remained 6-1 and the Sox won the game and the WS by that score 2 innings later.
      The one run given up by Lackey was just before this video took place.
