Can this decoder get BBC, CNN, CBS reality, aljazeera? What are the common channels it gets? And what's the present price if still available? Lastly, does it require internet to search or scan for channels? Thanks
The channels you will receive depends on the satellite you are aimed at. This particular model of receiver is currently in the $50-70 US dollar range, but other receiver models from the same brand can cost around $100. No internet connection is needed for free satellite TV reception. A good website to check to see what channels are available on each satellite is Lyngsat: www.lyngsat.com
Hello from South Dakota and I’m looking free channels tru amazona but can’t find the transporter for true signal can you help me with that all the video I see is from Mexico is not helping me
The business that sold me my satellite dish and receiver setup, sent me this link to your video. I'm having problems with the receiver changing channels so he told me that I should try and reprogram the receiver. Do you know if I have to remove the information regarding the satellite and the channels that are already in that receiver or do I just start all over again entering the satellite and various numbers to what's already there? Also, do I need to have the satellite disconnected from the box when I'm doing the programming like you did, and then turn everything off and hook up the satellite dish cable and turn it back on? I'm not sure how that needs to be done if you could help me with that also. The seller seems to think that the reason why I'm having problems with it not changing channels is because the cable was hooked up to the receiver or the dish while the receiver was turned on. That's why he wants me to reprogram it. The problem that I'm having, is that when you change channels the number on the box actually changes to the channel you're changing it to, and the information screen pops up on the screen showing the channel that it's being changed to, but the channel does not actually change on the TV unless one turns off the receiver and turns it back on and then it will come up with the desired channel that it's showing on its screen. Thank you
I’m not sure why you would have to re-program the receiver. I’ve never had to do that. Try unplugging the receiver from the power outlet for a minute, then plug it back in. See if that resets everything.
@@NorthcoasterHobby Thank you for your response. I'll try that before I do anything else. The tech said that someone else had a similar problem and they watched your video and followed what you show to do and it fixed their problem.
Greetings I recently purchased a DVD media FTA satellite receiver I have checked and double checked all my settings when I do a scan it appears to locate the transponder that I have in the system but says no program found. I went back over to complete setup program all numbers are correct my signal sets 92% but no quality. Any idea what could be wrong. By the way I'm pointing at galaxy 19,

Hi NH, l bought this gtmedia HD s2x receiver box online days ago. I plugged it, brought out led light on the box and displayed on screen, but there was no power from the lnb. What could be the problem? The installater told me it has no power as he tested it with his satellite finder and gave no signal. Pls any idea? Thanks
@@NorthcoasterHobby Thanks NH, It brought power, but when l input transponder frequency, it keeps saying out of range and the frequency is correct. Why this again?
@@davidakingbade2874 sounds like your LNB frequency is wrong. Set the LNB frequency to a Ku band frequency. Look at the label on your LNB at the L.O. Frequency. That is what you set the frequency to in your receiver.
Want to try a decent receiver GTMEDIA V8 4K ultra I have been playing around with fta for a wile know , have used the eighteen dollar ones to high priced Lenox types and got this V8 4K ultra ten months ago when they first came out . I use it on c band and ku band dishes.

What is the satellite’s orbital slot?
Hello. Is this or any GT Media receiver capable of HD 8psk and network settings/capabilities?
I'm not really sure.

What frequency is the LNB set to in your receiver menu?
It also could be the dish elevation is off. That usually brings in the signal quality.
it calls for 41° in my area I have moved it plus and minus 10°@@NorthcoasterHobby

Turn the LNB power on in the satellite installation menu. That sends voltage to the LNB. If the LNB has no voltage, you won’t get any channels.

Please, what should the lnb frequency be between 3620 - Unicable B, as it is ku-band dish. Thanks

@@davidakingbade2874 Ku band is going to be 10750 for a standard LNB, or 9750-10600 for a universal LNB
You should show live and free moving pictures of satellite tv
