I used to teach yoga and meditation professionally. When I was saved I felt God was telling me to stop teaching. It made up much of my income so pulling the plug was scary. But I did it anyway.
He even put it on my heart to pay tithing during that time and that was scary because for about a month I was out of work and I had little money to give. But I did.
It was miraculous how he opened up a new career for me that paid 3x as much and the people at my job now are great people and Christians and have helped me develop so much more in my walk.
That opening was so smooth and easy and I always refer to that experience when I think is this really what God wants for me? Because when he wanted me to do that, there was no question about it being right. It just all fell together so perfectly.

Jesse Oaks I have a close friendship with a co worker at work and we sit next to each other on the bus on our way to work and at lunch. We also exchanged phone numbers so we could text each other and we are getting to know each other a lot more and we are waiting for three months to see if our feelings are true to each other. I just got through cancer and he had brain cancer

I go to a Christian university and though I have a lot of guy friends, none of them flirt with me or show any interest. At this point I'm kind of sick of caring, so I'm finally in a place where I'm content being single. If God wants me with someone it'll happen, but I'm no longer putting so much energy into trying to find someone myself

It is definitely true that a relationship needs strong foundations. I was in an unequally yoked relationship and even though I still care about him, God gave me the knowledge that if I stayed in the relationship my walk with God would be hindered and my partner would only ever see me and not the God who created me. It is a hard thing sometimes to obey God especially when it doesn't make sense at the time but it is so worth it.
I am in an unequally yoked relationship. I prayed about it from the moment it begun and at first it seemed as if God was silent but then I had a dream where I was telling my dad about my boyfriend. He seemed visibly uncomfortable but he kept on saying: I have to teach him some things, how to love/treatyou, ect, then he looked at me and said: he's a distraction to the process. I'm confused but I firmly believe in God's ability to prune His children when they continue to abide in Him

@@isabellacam4775 how did you know to let go? I'm a mellow person, slow to anger and quick to forgive and I might put up with things that I shouldn't put up with. I think letting go will be easier if something detrimental were to happen ie him cheating. I've tried to walk away when I got frustrated that he couldn't understand simple biblical truths but then I realized that was the job of the holy spirit and so I have resorted to prayer and intercession. All I want is that he finds Christ with or without me

@@isabellacam4775 thank you! That was enlightening! I don't wish to change him at all. The course of the relationship has taught me that my life has to be the Bible that he reads. I've learnt to extend grace as it was extended to me by my Father and not to label other people "dirty" like Peter. I do love him in the sense that I want the best for him but it's not like I've decided that he is the one I HAVE to be with no matter what. I've prayed and fasted and I kept on coming back to this verse in Hebrews about keeping my eyes on Jesus and that's my focus forever. I believe that my steps are ordered by God and even if this is me straying away unknowingly, He has a way of working it all for my good. So this could be a miracle or a lesson, either way, it would all be for the glory of God, thank you again for replying! :)
1. There will be small, but continuous progressions between both of you. *the important things take time to build, but they are progressing slowly and continually.
2. There will usually be a lack of issues between you two early on in the relationship.
3. The timing will be right for both of you. (Acts 1:6-7) Both of you will be in a season where your relationship can align naturally.
3. There will be a mutual reciprocation if expressed interest. *When God is opening the door for you, the other person will positively respond to the invitation, just as we respond to God when he initiates a relationship w us.
4. Those things outside of your control will work together in favor of your relationship. *Take complete ownership of what is in your control, but leave everything out of your control, to God. Ex: you can control if you spend time w that person, but you can’t control their response. If it’s Gods will, He will make a way.

He is involved w church, has a solid understanding of theology and bears fruit of a healthy relationship w God, is hardworking, seems to be emotionally stable, and respects me. I’m not saying He CANT say no, but lots of people have missed out on His blessings because of fear.
If that man is not the husband for you, then things won’t work out between you 2.
In terms of emotionally letting go, just remember there are many other men out there that have those qualities. Above all, walk in God’s wisdom, sister. His wisdom for relationships never goes against practical steps.
You are not more or less spiritual if you do or do not date someone. As long as he is a fellow believer, you have God’s blessing to date. It may not end in marriage, but you will ALWAYS learn more about yourself and who you want as a spouse.

This message didn't show up in my feed as a coincidence. This is something that's been on my heart for awhile. It's encouraging to hear that God will act to bring divine connections together when the timing is right. We can't control others by making them comply to our needs and wants but we can control ourselves. In the meantime, trust God; give love to yourself; grow spiritually.

I've been single all my life and never had any guy friends. I've started going to this new church and have so many more friends than I have ever had in my whole life. I have this one guy friend and we seem to get along very well. We are becoming very good friends and I've been talking to him almost every day for the past week. Whenever I leave early he seems sad that I have to go. I would never ruin my friendship by trying to push to be in a relationship. If anything happens it happens! I'm just so lucky to have such a great friend!

Because we don't want to face things alone. We think that being with someone will fill us. I wanted that the majority off my life and never thought that if would be alone. I have accomplished so much more and I feel stronger alone. I don't know if I will ever be married and truly don't care. So strange....to be here when I thought so different before. When I went to my first learning course on Friday, God sent me this man and felt like he was telling me to give this guy a chance, and it turns out he's lovelier then I was. (I usually had trust issues with guys till I met this guy)
I met a woman through my mom and sisters life group, who was going through different health issues than me but experiencing similar struggles. Through God’s grace we have overcome some of our past hurts and pains forgiving those who treated us wrongly, beginning a new era of our lives. I’m not sure what God is dong in our lives but I know He will meet us where we need to be. When you said God is a way maker, I knew God was calling me. Our favorite worship song is Way Maker. It has been our reminder that the battle is already won. Our pastor started a new series on How To Cope With A Crisis. One of his main quotes pulled from 2 Chronicles was, “I do not no what to do Lord but my eyes are you”. This speaks to me and my special someone because right now she is deciding on where to go to college, whether it be near home or on her own miles away. I want what’s best for her and want her to strive for her dreams but it’s hard to possibly see her go for awhile. I know this is just a small season of our lives and that it is only temporary but it’s still hard. If we can grow together far away from each other, I know when we are finally reunited in person, I am certain God will fill our love to overflowing. Please pray for our relationship, that God would stay at the center of if it because without Him it would all fall apart. Also pray for my insecurities and worries, that I put 100% of my faith in Him. Thank you for your positive thoughts and encouragement.

@@tana5098 thank you for the thoughts and prayers. Sadly things didn’t end well. She ended up ghosting me and later sent a horrible message basically stating that our “relationship” was never a thing and to never speak to her ever again. I felt led on to believe there was something there, but alas I was deceived. Maybe at one point there was but in the end it all fell apart. Haven’t spoken to her since to respect her wishes. It sucked to by tossed aside like that, but I’m over it now and am thankful I was able to escape such a toxic person before things got more serious. I learned a ton as a result from it too. God protected me, but also taught an important lesson of trusting his plans, even though in the moment they didn’t seem clear. There’s always the post event clarity that makes you see how God’s way is the best way. Fighting his plans only prolongs our own discomfort. I wrote this poem after finally coming to peace over the situation, along with reflecting on the events of my life and those around me.
Life is Like a Tree:
Life is like a tree. The trunk is the present, sturdy, and known, ready to seek new heights, while learning on the way. The branches are the future, reaching out in many directions, full of potential and budding with growth. The roots are the past, just as exponential as the last, no longer in sight but recalled in remembrance of what is to come: new life.
@@arctr00perecho Sorry that it didn't work out. But, your attitude will get you through the loss. I wish I could say the same thing for me. I met man online on a Christian dating site who claimed he was in the military. It became evident that he was lying to me. I knew him only for a few months, but I had deep feelings for him. He scammed me out of money and claimed he was not able to get home from overseas. So, I know how much it hurts to have a person break your heart. I'm still hurting over it and even my faith in God hasn't been able to stop the betrayal of being manipulated and fooled by a con artist. 💔

@@tana5098 wow that’s painful. It’s hard when we try to be transparent and honest with others, but then they end up doing the opposite to us. I know it’s made me question if I’ve shared to much with others, but I think that’s the enemy trying to change who God designed me to be. I hope one day something good will come from the experience you went through! I will say our faith doesn’t change the fact that there is sinful people all around us. Our faith says that God will carry us through the trials but it doesn’t mean they will be any less difficult or painful. I think what our faith and having the Bible gives us is perspective. One of my favorite passages from 2 Corinthians 4 is verses 16-18,
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

I agree. When you have enough equity, then you can face the challenges that the enemy (and those doing his work) will throw at you to prevent the relationship from happening. And the challenges that you or the other person have as well.

Over the last two months i have startes liking this girl in my school I've known her for about four years and we got close this year, the last over time shes gotten in my head whenever i see her i feel really happy but also nervous i get this weird feeling in my chest whenever i talk to her anything serious she also has told me to make God a priority in life and i have because she told me God has helped me with my anxiety depression and sadness more times than i can count she found out that i was interested in her i thought that i moved on but in the last 3 weeks my feelings for her have gotten stronger i keep asking God for Wisdom and patience i have never felt this way for anyone in my life I'm so confused i like her but she isn't looking for a relationship but something tells me to wait, it keeps on saying be patient she's worth it i don't know if its God or my Mind but I'm following it she means so much to me i wanna know her more i wanna be in her presence because she's a wonderful girl I'm so confused it's hard seeing her everyday i really wanna tell her but i know if i do it'll only mess things up with her i keep on asking for patience because i need it if someone could help me I'd appreciate God bless you all.

I know many of the feelings you described. It could mean something but it could also be infatuation- I’m not sure. However, I would say to get to know God first. He’s beautiful and awesome. I’ve struggled with “crushes”. Sometimes I got too infatuated with them and I didn’t talk enough to my wonderful savior Jesus Christ. He’s taught me to come to Him and give Him my heart. I tell him my feelings, concerns, worries, struggles, joys, & everything. I sit and talk with Him, then I read the Bible and He speaks to me through His Holy Spirit. Some days are so clear and some are not clear, so just seek after Christ everyday and if you do it truly, I know He will guide you.

Marriage is the process of two people coming together to solve problems they didn't have before they were married.
I love the phrase "relationship equity". It reminds me of a phrase in Dr Willard Harley's book, "His Needs, Her Needs", Building an "Affair-Proof Marriage". While that might sound like putting the cart before the horse on this channel, he uses a term "LOVE BANK", that is very much like "relationship equity". He illustrates the point that every person has an in-built "Love Bank" that is subconsciously at work in every relationship, romantic or otherwise. And that actions by two people between each other either add or subtract from that Love Bank account. I do think it is very important for those of us who have been divorced due to infidelity learn from the experience, so we don't repeat the same mistakes in future relationships. We can only change ourselves, not anyone else, and there is usually fault on both sides when infidelity happens in marriage. And if we can discover what WE did wrong, or didn't do...then we have a better chance of NOT making that same mistake in a new relationship. We all are supposed to grow in our likeness of Jesus, and what better way than to become like him in LOVE?💕

Since we already have friendship, we can hold off on being together ASAP. I just got out of a relationship that lasted for years and i am not completely healed. I don't want to be in a relationship, but this guy has already expressed interest. There are some Christians who believe that if you miss your chance on a potential spouse, that God will continue to work in your life by sending you other prospects. It's hard for me to explain and I'm hope I'm making sense. I guess what I'm saying is some people don't believe that marriage is SOVERIGN but more so something that is still godly that can glorify God.

I believe the one that the LORD has for you is WORTH the wait. I have been waiting faithfully for 20 years for the one that G-D has for me. And was even married to one HE didn't want me to married to. But amazingly, he preserved my virtue even when THAT happened, like he did with Sarah when Abraham lied and told the king and Pharaoh that she was his sister! And the LORD prevented them from touching her. HE did that for me, even though I didn't listen to HIM about that man. HE even put me in the hospital to stop that wedding, but like an idiot, I went ahead with it. But HE rescued me still. The RIGHT ONE is worth waiting for.😀

It’s so freeing to know Gods in control.
For me #2 is happening, but we are facing the problems we had in the past and because of that equity being there we have overcame a lot of the issues we once had all through patience, persistence with prayer and space to allow us to grow in our own walks of faith and made ourselves talk about the uncomfortable and so far its been working because we are very intentional than what we were in the past. Our goals have shifted and we've placed God as the ultimate pursuit. This video has helped me realize we are both taking the right steps towards the relationship we desire to have with each other.
