Depression medication is not addicting. But anxiety medications certainly can be. God gave us medicine. Sometimes God gives us illnesses as our cross to share with Jesus. May God bless you with a complete healing and the best psychiatrist and doctors for you. ❤🙏 Healing is a process and a journey and the drug treatment is not always a long term situation. I say this from experience. You could ask your doctor about beta blockers for the anxiety and avoid the addictive benzodiazepine drugs. Sometimes those of us with mental health issues only need short term treatment. God won't leave you foundering. There are all kinds of treatments. If you had diabetes would you shun treatment? May God bless you with wisdom and discernment and the very best treatment for your health conditions. In Jesus's name, Amen. 🙏

What to do when you are burned out 1. We have a wrong view of the Gospel: the Cristian life is not a formula to follow. It's a relationship 2. Wrong view of spiritual maturity: Maturity is recognize that I can't control myself, I can't change myself but I can depend upon him every day, trust him to do through me what you know you can't do Solution 1. He makes us sufficient through himself, just be like the eagles, don't strive just trust God and be still through the source of his strength
My grandmother had me start listening to Dr Charles Stanley sermons when I was in the 3rd grade. I truly miss seeing Dr Charles Stanley. He was truly a remarkable man of God and I am so grateful that his sermons are still available on RUclips and other streaming apps then I can share with my nieces and nephews! For the last few weeks I have been running on empty, absolutely burned out to the point of near exhaustion. I kept thinking about the Lord will lift us up like eagles during this time. And tonight, even though I've not been searching 'burn out' or 'exhaustion' on the internet, this video recommendation popped up. That's God at work. It's not a coincidence. Praise the Lord. And to others experiencing the same as me, keep calling out to the Lord to sustain you. I'm still absolutely drained, but he's sustaining me. And he will, until I can get some time off work in September.

Oh my, God is good all the time! He sends us the perfect spiritual food right when we need it. This message by Dr Stanley came on the perfect day, as I embark on a new journey, to heal and deal with a "bad mole," surgery, etc. and feel so exhausted, already. God gives us renewed strength, and we must embrace Isaiah 41 through all of life's turbulent times, and the ups and downs. Amen!!💖
I feel the same way sometimes. But you’ve got to remember that troubles in life will come, some of them will last and God wont take them away, and it doesn’t mean God isn’t real or doesn’t love you. He promised to never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Job was a righteous man, but he suffered greatly. Joseph had dreams of greatness but suffered rejection, persecution, imprisonment for 13 years for a false accusation. Why would God allow such things to His children? God may allow troubles in our life either to *test* us for a promotion or *prepare* us for greater things. It’s our job to be faithful in our obedience and to trust Him. Remember Jesus who was sleeping on the boat during a storm? (Mark 4:38-40) His disciples got mad, they were wondering why Jesus wasn’t doing anything at a time like this where they believed they were going to die. But what did Jesus say? ‘Do you still have no faith?.’ He got up and rebuked the waves. So trouble in your life and God’s silence doesn’t mean He is absent. There are many things we won’t understand, but God is in control and you’re in His hands. Set your mind on things above and lean not on your own understanding. He has a plan to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). This is His promise. God is taking us somewhere, but the path is never straightforward. There are bumps and hurdles along the way. Jesus said we will have many troubles, but to have peace and not be discouraged, because He has overcome the world (John 16:33). Therefore our troubles shouldn’t overcome us. It’s not easy, I know. But let us continue to be faithful. If we lose hope, we may fall away or our love may grow cold (Matthew 24:10-13). You may also feel faint if you’re not praying enough. Jesus said we ought always to pray and not faint (Luke 18:1), meaning the antidote to fainting is prayer. In proverbs it says that the one that faints on the day of trouble has little strength (Proverbs 24:10). So our strength comes from the secret place.
I praise the Lord for the wisdom that Charles Stanley spreads even now that he is gone to be with GOD. 🙏 I always feel enlightened after listening to his sermons and observations 😊

This is just what I needed to hear. I've put so many burdens on myself. I think I understand a little bit more of what Jesus meant by “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NIV) I've had a wrong view of the gospel without even realizing it. And my idea of spiritual maturity was all wrong too. I really needed to hear this.

The verse Come all who are weary and heavy laden, was my verse this morn and asked God how...Christianity has been mire of a burden trying to gigure out, get andwers, walk thus wat etc. I dropped on inside and havent yruly connected with a church. One I am in never called and I've been out for months. I am single and that hurts more.

I will tell you why I am burned out. I’m a kind person and I treat people with the respect they deserve but I get bullied time and time again. Belittling me! I am so tired of people trying to tell me who I am when I know who I am in Christ and I know the gifts I possess. Who are you to tell me what I am capable of when you don’t even know me. 🙏

I am so tired. I am tired of waking up with a sense of dread and anxiety every day and while I should be thankful I have a job and financial means I am exhausted and all I want to do is just make my room dark and stay in bed all day away from all the demanding bosses, the co workers I don’t want to engage with and even my father…my father doesn’t have his own financial means and called me yesterday asking me to buy him a new car. He gets into trouble and I have to take care of everything. No one helps me. I can’t lean on anyone for support or help. I pray every morning to God asking for help and to strengthen me but he doesn’t. He doesn’t change my personality, he doesn’t take away my resentment…I just want to rest. Where is God? I see women who have successful husbands and they have children and all they do is take care of their kids all day or go to the spa while nanny’s look after the kids. Their husbands love them. What about me?
You need to just hold on and hang in there. I been there and i know exactly what you’re feeling. All i can tell you is that you must read your Bible daily. That’s the fuel to your strength and stability. He will transform you by the renewing of your mind. How? By renewing your mind with the Word of God! That’s one of His amazing promises and that’s the biblical truth. Transformation will happen naturally. You will experience God’s highest and best-His good, acceptable, perfect will. That’s how powerful the word of God is! If our minds are filled with who God is, we can’t help but be transformed and renewed. The word of God changes you. You are transformed and renewed from the inside out! So if you want your heart and mind renewed, strength restored, and joy and wisdom to be in your heart and soul, all you need to do is run to the Word of God today, sit down with the living active Word of God and drink deeply!🙏🤍😇

I've heard this sermon before. It's very good. But he loses me on the part where his congregation supported him for 3-6mths while he recovered. Many people work their bones to the grave, barely getting by. And finally pass on to the grave, worn out. Or they are let go from their job, family doesn't support them, etc. Most of us don't have a large congregation to support our burnout😢 and they can't cut back or they will lose their children, home, car, can't buy groceries, etc. Many find themselves alone, living alone. No one for support. Some have even said, heaven looks more inviting everyday. The heart of a burnt out Christian....
2 Corinthians 12:7-10 7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Thanks for reminding me of the love of my Lord , I’m suffering from depression and anxiety almost 6 months now （ take antidepressants every day on time ） but I still having suicidal ideation …
I also have my own struggles with anxiety but I know God is almighty and powerful. Jesus fights for our battles and gives us the strength to keep on going no matter how hard it is. God loves you unconditionally. We are more than conquerors through the blood of Jesus Christ. God will never give up on us. Let’s learn how to trust him and grow out faith much stronger in Jesus Name. Amen 🙏

But what did Jesus say? ‘Do you still have no faith?.’ He got up and rebuked the waves. So trouble in your life and God’s silence doesn’t mean He is absent.
There are many things we won’t understand, but God is in control and you’re in His hands. Set your mind on things above and lean not on your own understanding. He has a plan to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). This is His promise. God is taking us somewhere, but the path is never straightforward. There are bumps and hurdles along the way. Jesus said we will have many troubles, but to have peace and not be discouraged, because He has overcome the world (John 16:33). Therefore our troubles shouldn’t overcome us. It’s not easy, I know. But let us continue to be faithful. If we lose hope, we may fall away or our love may grow cold (Matthew 24:10-13).
You may also feel faint if you’re not praying enough. Jesus said we ought always to pray and not faint (Luke 18:1), meaning the antidote to fainting is prayer. In proverbs it says that the one that faints on the day of trouble has little strength (Proverbs 24:10). So our strength comes from the secret place.
I praise the Lord for the wisdom that Charles Stanley spreads even now that he is gone to be with GOD. 🙏

This is just what I needed to hear. I've put so many burdens on myself. I think I understand a little bit more of what Jesus meant by “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NIV) I've had a wrong view of the gospel without even realizing it. And my idea of spiritual maturity was all wrong too. I really needed to hear this.
I resonate with your comnent. The verse Come all who are weary and heavy laden, was my verse this morn and asked God how...Christianity has been mire of a burden trying to gigure out, get andwers, walk thus wat etc. I dropped on inside and havent yruly connected with a church. One I am in never called and I've been out for months. I am single and that hurts more.

I am so tired. I am tired of waking up with a sense of dread and anxiety every day and while I should be thankful I have a job and financial means I am exhausted and all I want to do is just make my room dark and stay in bed all day away from all the demanding bosses, the co workers I don’t want to engage with and even my father…my father doesn’t have his own financial means and called me yesterday asking me to buy him a new car. He gets into trouble and I have to take care of everything. No one helps me. I can’t lean on anyone for support or help. I pray every morning to God asking for help and to strengthen me but he doesn’t. He doesn’t change my personality, he doesn’t take away my resentment…I just want to rest. Where is God? I see women who have successful husbands and they have children and all they do is take care of their kids all day or go to the spa while nanny’s look after the kids. Their husbands love them. What about me?
You need to just hold on and hang in there. I been there and i know exactly what you’re feeling. All i can tell you is that you must read your Bible daily. That’s the fuel to your strength and stability. He will transform you by the renewing of your mind. How? By renewing your mind with the Word of God! That’s one of His amazing promises and that’s the biblical truth. Transformation will happen naturally. You will experience God’s highest and best-His good, acceptable, perfect will. That’s how powerful the word of God is! If our minds are filled with who God is, we can’t help but be transformed and renewed. The word of God changes you. You are transformed and renewed from the inside out! So if you want your heart and mind renewed, strength restored, and joy and wisdom to be in your heart and soul, all you need to do is run to the Word of God today, sit down with the living active Word of God and drink deeply!🙏🤍😇

I've heard this sermon before. It's very good. But he loses me on the part where his congregation supported him for 3-6mths while he recovered. Many people work their bones to the grave, barely getting by. And finally pass on to the grave, worn out. Or they are let go from their job, family doesn't support them, etc. Most of us don't have a large congregation to support our burnout😢 and they can't cut back or they will lose their children, home, car, can't buy groceries, etc. Many find themselves alone, living alone. No one for support. Some have even said, heaven looks more inviting everyday. The heart of a burnt out Christian....

I also have my own struggles with anxiety but I know God is almighty and powerful. Jesus fights for our battles and gives us the strength to keep on going no matter how hard it is. God loves you unconditionally. We are more than conquerors through the blood of Jesus Christ. God will never give up on us.
