Thanks for the video. A tip for the intelligent settings, Shift + End for horizontal, Shift + PageDown (or down arrow) for vertical works after selecting the first pixel. Faster and error free.
Thanks for making the time to make this video. As I am doing the setup, everything goes fine up the the moment we need to tell the order of the pixels (minute 14:34) No pixel flashes on the panel. As I hold and drag my mouse on the matrix nothing shows on the panel. It's weird as all the previous steps lit up the panel and passed the test. Any ideas why it may fail at this last step? Is there a way to reset the controller, and start all over?
A quick question re wiring of the colorlight to the hub port connectors. How are you expected to connect them normally? Using a 2x4 config as an example. Does the colorlight card assume by default that you have plugged each row into their own hub connector Starting from J1 to J4 So it would expect J1 1, 2 J2 3, 4 J3 5, 6 J4 7, 8 And the rest are not connected. Is it possible to configure it so it would use all hub75 ports? Eg J1, 1 ... J7, 7 J8, 8
Great step by step, I followed it exactly, LEDVISION worked in testing modes, could not get FPP 6.3 to test pattern, if I went into xlights turned on play, but nothing to play, I could get FPP test patterns to work, as thought xlights starts up the demon on pie, but major flickers, tried 3 colorlight cards, Pie 3B+, Pi 4, still flickers so much, you cant watch it, any ideas
I have P6 16x32 panels. Tried to finish setup but LEDvision recognized my panels like 8x32. Did anyone have same problem? Any suggestions how to fix this?
Great videos. Have a question: can LEDVision also adjust the shade of colors? I'm asking, because I had to buy LED panels that are now 2 different lot numbers and the colors do not match. I've also see a video on I-Set. Would it maybe be possible to do that with this software. Or am I stuck with having to purchase all new panels? Thanks for ALL you knowledge you are sharing with us
Can you add eth connection to the PI with adapter as my WIFI will not reach the PI 4 running the color light card which is connected to the eth connection on the PI
Dear Greg, while LEDvision 8.5 can display the test screen on my two 64x32 matrices, the image flickers (flickering seems in sync with the activity light of my gigabit ethernet nic-usb adapter). I can't seem to find another instance of this happening to someone in my searches. Might you have an idea about how to fix (or start fixing) this issue?
I'm currently having issues with my screen. It's not been in use for close to 2years because the RCVBP file got corrupted. I need help. It's a colourlight X1 sending card with a colourlight recieving card. I need please
im working with: 1- Linsn RV908M32 Receiver 2- P4 Indoor LED Display Module 256x128mm 64x32 pixels 3- PC with - Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller - SO it's GBE but im failing when im trying to detect the receiver card, could you help?
I have just single panel. Can't get it past intelligent step where yuou should say how many lines there are. There are 8 lines , but on next test where you had single line it still has 8 lines, but around 50% dimmer. And after going on the map, it will blink 2 leds at the same time making it impossible to map anything.
So i got this working - it was wrong chip selected. But now I can map every other line and then remaining 4 lines blink at the same time and I can't complete it whatever I select. I could get it to work with another panel just fine, by following procedure.
I would try and find a Pi3B+ or Pi4, keep an eye on rpilcator.com (they do push feeds on twitter). If you're in the US then get registered on adafruit.com they typically have stock on a Weds.. if you're in the UK/EU then I have a few Pi4's at panelsrus.com
This was probably the MOST helpful video I have ever seen and been able to follow!!!!
Hi Greg
Thankyou for your detailed explanation and setting up of the colour lite card.
How about a just in time post on the subject I needed 😀 Awesome!
I love you boss. i learn Many information of your video. God Bless you

A quick question re wiring of the colorlight to the hub port connectors.

Using a 2x4 config as an example.
Does the colorlight card assume by default that you have plugged each row into their own hub connector Starting from J1 to J4
So it would expect
J1 1, 2
J2 3, 4
J3 5, 6
J4 7, 8
And the rest are not connected.
Is it possible to configure it so it would use all hub75 ports?
Eg
J1, 1
...
J7, 7
J8, 8

Yes, a usb Ethernet adapter can be used to link to the home/show network whilst the onboard Ethernet is connected to the Colorlight.

The Colorlight card is first connected to Windows Computer but I didn’t notice you installing any drivers
No Drivers are needed, LEDVision will talk directly to it.

How do I set up Led Vision to give me a monthly playback report?
I dont believe it has that function.
great
what HDMI media player do you recommend to drive the content?
depends very much on your media, i have used Pi's running Kodi for media files - or an Amazon Fire Stick for example.

With Rasberry Pi's being extremely hard to find right now is there an alternative you could recommend?
