Honestly, for me,Bastion's short was an impactful stuff to see...being a robot that soon learned to have some ACTUAL conciousness and then realize that it's the last of it's kind due to the people's distrust in their kind, ending on massive wars and genocidal acts, then only waking up for all of this....it would kick everyone in the head. It is kinda like the story of a veteran, living in the forests in Vietnam since that little war was existing. He was ravaging, pillaging smaller farms, which after the MP was called out for this sort of activity,so they could actually catch him in the act. He basically was lost about the year he was in and the fact that the war has ended already since a few decades,he was shocked.
There's also that Japanese soldier who fought the war decades after Japan's surrender. Stationed in an island, he believed people's clothing, radio and everything he saw was American propaganda to lure out the enemy. A student from Japan found him and got his commanding officer to come and relieve him of duty. He was awarded one of if not the highest military Honor in Japan. Memory is a bit off in details but I recommend checking him out.
Last Bastion always brings me to tears. Whoever directed that did phenomenally well and did a great job portraying PTSD and how it can hurt you but how it doesn't have to control you.
Soldier: 76, once the Leader or I guess face of Overwatch, but then was betrayed with many people thinking that he was dead, when in truth he survived. He then forsook his old name and took on the Identity of Soldier: 76, a vigilante that continues the work of Overwatch but in a more brutal and harsh fashion.
My favourite detail about "Infiltration" a lot of people miss. When Sombra does the "boop" most people think it's her little gimmick, but it's a lot more significant if you notice the other picture on Katya's desk when Sombra grabs the one of her daughter. It shows Katya doing the same gesture to her daughter. This most likely means Sobra is subtly saying she knows a lot more about her than just the arms dealing, and her amused chuckle at the end before hacking the camera is probably her thinking "Hah, I like that. I'll keep it!" Her "boop" voice line ingame even, didn't become a thing till a few patches after her release even, probably from player request. Last Bastion though is just a beautifully made film overall though. The technical animators/artists went full ham for that one.
Soldier 76 Former head and face of the now disbanded Overwatch and the golden boy of a supersoldier project. After Overwatch was ordered to shut down, he drifted, but he can't ignore the people in need, so he puts his training to use as a vigilante. An old soldier trying to right wrongs. The Bastion model was originally a UN peace keeping robot soldier. During the Omnic uprising, they were terrifying shock troops who killed untold numbers with their SMGs, turret mode, and micro tank mode. This may be the last operational one as they were feared and largely destroyed after. This short has been widely praised for its humanizing of not just a robot, but a character who was considered the bane of matches for a time. Also for its depiction of PTSD. The Omnic Uprising, or as you called it, the "Skynet moment" is backstory for the game. It's why Overwatch was founded. It's why Omnics are often persecuted and treated as second or third class citizens. What caused the Omnics to rebel En Masse? What made them suddenly aware and not okay with working for humans? Unknown. Sombra has a more simplified character intro short that explains her backstory. She is a war orphan who got good at social engineering and terrifyingly skilled at hacking. She wanted to learn and understand. As well as to assert more control over her fate. One day she found something. Something big. Sticking her nose into that digital space nearly cost her actual head. She has since upgraded and learned to be more cautious. She is probably the greatest single hacker on the planet. She has her own aims outside of Talon, who she's ostensibly working for right now. Reaper, formerly Gabriel Reyes of Overwatch and its black ops team that wasn't supposed to be known. He ultimately went traitor and proved pivotal in Overwatch's fall. He's also an earlier candidate for the supersoldier program that produced Soldier 76. His treatment was a bit less stable though, so he ultimately turned to a discredited geneticist for a fix, and..... you're looking at the results of that and maybe an additional batch of treatments or 3. Also, those mechs are using what appear to be scaled up versions of Zarya (The Russian hero)'s cannon. Which is a particle beam with a grenade like alt fire and a black hole ult. These might actually have good reach and damage though, unlike in game Zarya.
when your done watching all these trailers, you should try watching the Meme versions of them by Juston Bibero. Old but hilarious and the editing is top notch, I'm still noticing new things in them years later
Yea bro Balderich (Rein's mentor) is still there on the throne. If you play Eichenwalde map and get to the final objective point youll see him. Wherever a crusader dies, his armor becomes his grave
Blizzard did try doing a movie and only China really liked it. Honestly I kinda blame that on them on picking a portion of the Warcraft story that's not that interesting. "Orcs from Space invade Lord of the Rings." basically. Had they just fast forward it to Warcraft 3's story, maybe change it to say they don't know where the Orcs came from but dealt with the majority of them and got labor camps. Do that and it'd probably do amazing as everyone loves Arthas' Story.
Hey m8 just a suggesiton. While not talking i would appreciate if your volume was same as the videos and it faded out when you spoke. Because i like to watch these in the background and its either 'hear the video and go deaf when you speak' or 'dont hear the video'. Just my 2 cents, have a nice day
Well, they have actually done an animated series now that is called Skylanders Academy. Though it was an Activision property and so it was both studios working on it. But frankly, it is good, though it doesn't follow the canon material from the games, which is fine in most cases but not always (still haven't forgiven the depiction of Wolfgang).
Is Wolfgang worse or better in Skylander Academy? From what I remember of him in the game he was a badass!😎🐺 The PEAK of heavy-metal bards! The guy literally uses a spinal cord as a guitar!!!✊
@@davidkoudelka10 Well for one while not being a reason, he apparently has history with Pop Fizz, which given from the Imaginators lore doesn't actually fit seeing as Wolfgang has a twin Brother. But the main reason and only reason is that Wolfgang isn't the same character wise, he is more like a Henchman bully who is as loyal as a dog to the Golden Queen and gets intimidated real easily along with being really reliant on his bone harp as it was a means of mind control instead of just well, how the game portrays it. Canon Wolfgang was pretty much a rebellious and not intimidated by anyone in the Doom Raiders, so much so that he was not scared to give his own thoughts on situations, even if they were directed to the Golden Queen. And when it came to his loyalties towards the Doom Raiders, he was pretty much fine with abandoning and backstabbing them at the drop of a hat when presented with a situation that was more to his liking. Cause even though he was able to deliver the stinky cheese to his fellows, he didn't actually want to return to the present time, cause he liked the situation of the future more so than the present.

I will say this once more. Blizzard is way better at making movies then they are at making games. Their writing on the other hand is still shite no matter the medium.
I like your reactions but... Please work on how loud you and the video is, you just talk over every sound and destroy my ears while I also want to hear something in the video itself, it's annoying and doesn't help anything one bit

I think Bastion, Bumblebee and the Iron Giant would be great friends.
Bastion was one of the mass produced soldiers during the omnic crisis
And a UN peacekeeper model before that.
But now, he's the last of his kind.

Leader AND face of Overwatch
@@dj11o9er I couldn't really remember if he was the Leader.
Call him a hero, a criminal, a vigilante even. The truth is... he's just a soldier.
Dragons and Reinhardt are the best shorts by far
I disagree. I love Reinhardt's, but Genji and Hanzo's is meh. My personal favorite is Soldier's.
Bastions short gets me every time.
6:02
"you saved me.... why?"
" mhmm monke "
I'm always down for Overwatch shorts. One of my Fav was "Honor and Glory". I would love to see that in the near future
Truly a classic.
Eichenwalde was some mean action.

This
They are fantastic
12:12 literally the plot of Iron Giant
cant wait to see your opinion with the rest of them... they are all top tier animations. And yes, they totally should make a movie XD
One thing Blizzard does right.
Animation.
Soldier 76 is basically this universe's Captain America
Apparently in the present lore, Russia is still dealing with a second omnic war, somehow
Ah man made me miss early-Overwatch. Can't bear to play it anymore though lmao, Blizzard kinda wild these days.
Overwatch?
That's a name that I didn't hear ina loooong time...
You call that wood pecking? Now this is wood pecking.
Man, these bring back the nostalgia... and the bitterness at Activision.
The Russian with pink hair is called Zarya.

You should watch Overwatch vs. TF2 by the Winglet. It is a top quality SFM short.
Speaking of animated series made by game companies, have you watched Arcane, if not, I can highly recommend it!
Speaking of nuclear powercells...ever heard of nano-diamond batteries? tiny blue diamonds with a bit of carbon-14 inside it.
